Disney's All-Star Movies Resort is regarded as a value option that offers the quintessential cheerful Disney atmosphere, particularly enchanting to children. The resort's rooms are acknowledged for their cleanliness and recent updates, although some guests have expressed concerns over space and noise, suggesting rooms on upper floors for a more peaceful stay.
While the service is predominantly praised for being helpful, and transportation convenient, opinions on the food court and amenity noise levels are mixed. Despite these occasional inconsistencies, the hotel's overall cleanliness and attentive pool lifeguards are frequently commended.

Booked to stay a week trough Virgin Holidays, though our flights being with Delta via Atlanta out and JFK coming back, there was nothing Virgin about our trip…. 4 adults and 2 very tired kids arrived to a typical Disney welcome at an almost empty reception at around 22.30 and by the time we were checked in and had our park tickets issued, we got to our rooms in “Mighty Ducks” just gone 23.15. Didn’t get adjoining rooms as requested, far from it as the 2 rooms were in separate blocks🙈 Not the ideal start and being quite tired after a long day travelling, we just requested if poss, to be moved to adjoining rooms ASAP which happened the very next day😁 The rooms were clean and comfy, plenty of fluffy towels and toiletries, a fridge and a coffee maker. Food wise, the restaurant was to canteen standards at best but with small portions at captive audience prices….. We chose to Uber food in most evenings and stocked the fridge with juice, brekkie/ snack stuff and some “beverages”. The “complimentary” bus service to the parks worked very well for us, almost every trip and defo every morning, there was good banter with complete strangers and all manner of “characters” you would expect to meet on a Disney resort bus going to a Disney Park. We managed to get in the Mighty Ducks pool a couple of times only to be told off on both occasions for throwing the kids about in an almost empty pool🤷♂️Rules are rules….. The hotel and grounds were very well kept and the atmosphere at any given time felt to me like it was a happy one. All staff encountered were courteous and helpful. Cost wise, don’t think it worked out any better staying here rather than renting a villa/car but it was certainly a convenient option.

Is this the best, most luxurious, feature rich Disney resort out there? Absolutely not... but why the 5-star review then? Because it offers unbeatable value and theming, with a small, but quality and recently renovated room. It is also central enough that most of the theme parks are easily and quickly accessible via Disney transportation.
The common (exterior) grounds is probably one of the best feature of the hotel and in my mind up there with Art of Animation as the best value resort options at WDW. The theming is spot on and the attention to details is impressive. All 5 Disney value resorts are actually a great lesson in Imagineering with outside characters, making you feel like a kid again...The one thing the differentiate this value resort vs the other ones is its focus on iconic characters and movies such as Fantasia, Toy Story, 101 Dalmatians, Mighty Ducks and the Love Bug - something that emotionally is only matched by Art of Animation. All-Star Music, Sports and Pop Century use the same Imagineering techniques to impress - but I find slightly harder to connect with.
Another thing I like about the value resorts, and especially All-Star Movie is the pool area. Simple - but once again with effective and visible theming and what appears to pretty good size pools.
Food wise, the on-site offering is relatively basic with the relatively standard food court concept focused on classics: pancakes, waffles, bacon/meat for breakfast, and burgers, chicken tenders, pizza, pasta and other quick food offerings for lunch and dinner. Nothing fancy, or character breakfast/dinner style - but quick, effective and decent value (by Disney standards)
The rooms are not big, but space is used efficiently. As stated before, the rooms were recently renovated (withing the last 5 years). The theming is basic and simple but everything looked and felt modern, and in good operating order. Temperature control was adequate. Wifi worked fine. Bed was comfortable... but maybe a tad on the hard side. Decent storage space (drawers...). Bathroom/washroom area highly functional, yet again streamlined and simple. Shower features standard Disney Resorts (formerly H20) amenities. Note that at value resorts, housekeeping is only offered every other day of your stay, but one can connect with guest services to have additional amenities (eg: towels) brought to the room. Technology wise, the rooms feature the Amazon Alexa based Hey Disney console which worked pretty much as expected when it comes to setting up daily alarms, timers and the likes.
During my stay, Disney transportation to/from the parks and the Disney Springs area was efficient and on time - with no issues or concerns whatsoever. I saw the lines for Magic Kingdom that were longer for the other parks and Disney did their best to bring in extra or longer buses to manage this specific line.
Last but not least, a review of a stay at a Disney resort would not be complete without speaking about the Cast Members. During my stay, I had an opportunity to interact with several cast members (Food court, "Bar" by the pool, pool, front desk). All were smiling and always helpful, with a few engaging in longer, meaningful conversations.
All in, a stay at Disney's All Star Movies is about incredible value, with impressive exterior theming that is sure to make you feel like a kid again. It is not fancy, but the fact that rooms were recently renovated a big plus. I would very highly recommend a stay at this resort.

Being one of the more budget Disney hotels and having stayed at the Caribbean beach before, we were not expecting big things from this hotel, however we were pleasantly surprised.
We didn't request a specific area but we were located in the Mighty Ducks section, which was well located to walk across to the bus area in the Music resort just next door.
The walk was not too far to the centre where the food was located and guest services but for catching the bus in the morning we simply walked over to Music and got the bus there.
The rooms were small, we stayed with two adults a 13 year old and an 8year old and there was not much room.
The beds were comfortable but the air conditioning was cold, I wish I had taken a warmer pair of pyjamas to sleep in and is my top tip to anyone now!
The bathroom did block on two occasions and we had to call out maintenance which was a bit of an inconvenience after long days in the park but the staff were all friendly and helpful.
The rooms were not as clean as I would have liked, under beds were dusty and there was limited space for rubbish in the rooms especially if you liked to bring food back to your room later on in the evenings.
The storage was just enough for what we needed and overall it suited our needs as we spent minimal time in our hotel, it was just a base.
The mighty ducks pool was never too crowded and open until 11pm in the evenings so it was great to come back and have a swim in the pool.
Laundry was also easy to use and the app allowed you to see when machines were free to use.
The food area was due to be upgraded but the food was relatively good quality. We purchased a refill mug and shared it between us all, this saved us carrying the mug around when we planned to visit other resorts.

We frequent Disney and were excited to try the All Star Movies Resort for the first time, but unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience.
First, the room was uncomfortably hot despite the thermostat reading “68.” The AC only directed airflow in one spot, leaving the rest of the room stuffy and uncomfortable – not ideal after long park days.
The worst part, however, happened on the last night of our stay. We returned to our room around 11:30 PM to find the door propped open by the in-room lock. My kids were the ones who noticed it, and they were immediately scared to go inside. We went straight to the front desk to report the incident.
Instead of apologizing or addressing our safety concerns, the staff member’s response was dismissive and borderline accusatory. He implied that we must have left the door open ourselves, which was both insulting and absurd. When he checked the system, he confirmed someone had entered our room at 10 PM – an unsettling discovery since no one in our party was there at that time. He explained that hotel policy allows staff to enter rooms anytime, claiming it was likely housekeeping management.
This explanation didn’t reassure us, and his attitude made things worse. An apology and genuine concern for our safety would have gone a long way, but instead, we left feeling unsafe and unwelcome.
In summary, we will not be staying here again and cannot recommend this resort. We travel to Orlando frequently and stay in various hotels from luxurious resorts to simple. This was one of the worst hotels we have stayed in on Disney property. If you’re visiting Disney, spend the extra money for a deluxe resort where comfort and guest safety are taken seriously.

These hotels are extremely loud! The doors slam and they slam hard because a lot of people are awake from 5am to get ready for the early hours. The walls are thin you can hear conversations in the next room and kids running around in the room. (God knows how the rooms are small) So if you are a light sleeper I would advise against here. It was a painful 10 nights even with ear plugs in you can hear the doors slamming shut.
The housekeeping is every other day - we have stayed in other hotels and it’s every day cheaper than a Disney hotel.
The rooms are very clean though and the beds are comfortable enough for a motel.
Staff are really friendly.
We stayed through the hurricane and felt very safe in the room.
Would I recommend it, probably not. There’s nothing special about the motel that makes you say go back. I would say stay somewhere more luxurious for the same price. My friend stayed in a local hotel and it was so much more premium for a lot less.
The Disney transport is good if you want to use it, we had a car so didn’t take full advantage as it can get so busy and I have zero patience for waiting 20 minutes for another bus in 35c.
The soap dispenser fell off the wall so I would check that was secured! Luckily I had got out the bath before that was it would have really hurt hitting someone especially a small child.

I have been to Disney but this was my first time staying on property.
Pros: I was glad to have a room close to the main lobby as it’s not far to walk after a long day in the park.
The coffee was always fresh and hot
The resort seemed clean and I love the mirror that extends out for applying makeup
I liked the early entry to the parks.
I met a staff while walking around who offered to take photos for me. We started talking about vacations and cruises. She was so sweet and I enjoyed chatting with her. Her name was Magali ( I think that’s what she said).
Cons: The pillows are fluffy and provide no neck support so I had to roll towels up to support my neck.
My room faced the pool and since the pool stays open until 10pm, I heard noise all day until closing. Also, the room doors slam shut when they close. I did not sleep well here.
The room was clean but if you’re allergic to dust, you may have to do some cleaning. Under the bed and shelves above coffee maker were dusty.
After staying on property, I have to admit that I do prefer to stay off site more.

We had an excellent stay with 2 adults and 2 young children. Don’t expect luxury from a value resort but it was clean and functional.
Our children loved the theme. Buses were convenient (we used both Movies and Music). Plenty of parking. Two clean pools with towels. Decent hairdryer. Safe in the room. Small fridge (ours was very cold - froze the butter). Bath with shower. Tea and coffee machine. Room cleaned every other day which was perfectly fine for us as it was done thoroughly with fresh towels/linen etc.
The room might be cramped for two older children/four adults. The food court had decent enough food at the end of a long day (pizza good value), was a bit grubby but admittedly it was late and had probably served hundreds of visitors that day. Pool could do with a refresh of paint when up close but kids loved it and we found it to be clean.
No complaints from us. Would stay again

This was my second time staying at disneys budget allstar resorts. My sister and I were supposed to stay at movies but due to a last minute deal we ended up at music years ago. They have updated the rooms to include granite-topped dressers, laminate wood flooring, large armoires, and even a mini fridge to store your treats and water bottles. The bathroom has dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The sink also features a glittery granite countertop with many shelves. The bed was comfortable and the room was spotless. My stay was peaceful considering all the families. The front desk staff was friendly and provided excellent service.

The low rating is only for the room and Resort status, because the disney experience is totally different and obviously deserves a high rating. But let’s just talk about All Star Movies: I think they should renovate these Resorts at a low price and make them more modern and beautiful. Because they are definitely hotels for those with a low budget and want to spend little but all in all the figure remains high and you pay a lot to have nothing. The rooms are of a medium to low value Motel. At night you hear a lot of noise from the nearby rooms. When we arrived our room had the sink plugged and after several calls we were assigned a new room. We were told to wait for someone who would come to get our bags but we waited almost 1 hour and no one showed up. So we took and left by ourselves carrying everything by ourselves. After a few hours they knocked on the door and gave us snacks to apologize. Besides, they refunded us money. We definitely appreciated the attempt to make it right! Returning to the rooms then these are standard classic Motel rooms where the lack of windows is felt by the darkness and the lack of air. Excellent bus services and definitely the pool and the lobby with restaurants to make all meals. All in all a good experience but for what you pay I would like an improvement on the rooms and make them more pleasant ..

I was at the hotel for a week in September 2022, the hotel is huge and beautiful! Preference should be given to rooms close to the food court. The rooms are great, good mattress, have a delicious bathtub, excellent shower, we stayed in the fantasy block, very beautiful and close to reception, making transportation to the parks easy. However, the cleanliness left something to be desired, they cleaned the room every 3 days and only when requested, the food court had a lot of options, but I didn't really like the food, and it was all quite expensive, I paid 4 dollars for a banana! The Hotel is worth it for the convenience of free transportation (despite paying a fee of 8 dollars per day) and the proximity to the parks. The bus schedules are great, you could stay in the parks until closing, as the buses run until very late, and are very fast. The pool in the fantasy block is also great, in this hotel you can feel the magic of Disney. There is also a luggage rack, where we could leave our bags and enjoy the park on the day we changed hotels. The laundry room is very practical, I used it and liked it. On a 2-week trip, we stayed at All Star Movies for a week and then moved to a Universal hotel to visit the other parks, it was so worth it! I would definitely come back!

Ahhh, I get you and you'd need to dry your swimwear somehow and not pack it away wet. There's 2x blocks, we only used the Duck one next to our room so the bigger pool block might have one.
We were lucky our Uber wasnt picking us up till midday so had enough time to shuttle bus to Magic Kingdom for 5 or so rides after we checked out and left our bags with the hotel.
