I just stayed at the Point Hotel & Suites Orlando for 10 nights and wanted to express what a great time I had staying there. I stayed in a one bedroom grand suite which was ideal for my trip. The suites are extremely spacious with a fully equipped kitchen, open lounge/dining area, a nice comfy king size bed and huge bathroom with walk in shower and jacuzzi tub. There is lots of storage/hanging space available and the washer/dryer in the room was an absolute god send! The suite also had a balcony with lovely views. I stayed on the 11th floor with views over the city which included being able to see the fireworks in the distance at Universal. The suite had everything I needed for my stay and more. I was travelling on my own for this trip and felt very safe at this hotel even when arriving back late at night and the hotel has plenty of onsite parking available for those that are driving. Location wise, this hotel was perfect for me. I wanted to be near to Universal and when I say it is literally up the road you couldn’t really get much closer. Disney is about a 20 min drive depending on traffic, but pretty easy to get to from the hotel. International drive is a couple of traffic lights away which is super convenient for eating out as there are lots of restaurants nearby to chose from, even if you don’t have a car with you. The pool area is lovely and clean with lots of sunbeds available and a nice pool bar for snacks and drinks. I didn’t personally spend much time by the pool due to other commitments but really enjoyed it when I did. It’s a nice area to sit, relax, sunbathe and swim. I believe the pool is open until about 11pm at night so a great place to come and cool off after a day at the parks. I’d like to mention some of the lovely staff they have working here. Mikkel and Zulma were fantastic and gave me a very warm welcome on my arrival. Both were very chatty and friendly and they made me feel at home right away. Mikkel was on reception a lot during my stay here and he was so friendly and helpful. He answered all the questions I had with ease and couldn’t be more helpful. An all round great employee in my opinion. I also spent some time by the pool on my last day and Rachel at the pool bar was great! She was very attentive and friendly and we chatted at the pool bar for a long time before I was ready to depart. Such a lovely lady. All the staff I encountered during my stay here were great. Lastly, I’d just like to mention a couple of bits that I feel could be an improvement to the hotel. They weren’t massive deal breakers for me and didn’t impact my stay in a really negative way, but thought this would be some good constructive feedback for the hotel: - The shower heads in the bathroom were not great. I don’t know if this was to do with the water pressure or the showerhead itself but it just had no oomph! As someone with long hair it’s very difficult to wash your hair properly and get all the shampoo out without a decent flow of water. Since this is something you use once or twice a day during your stay it could be an issue for some as I did struggle a bit myself. Please, please invest in some decent shower heads. It’s quite a small investment for guest satisfaction. - Sofa’s and carpets in the suites are starting to look a bit worn. There were burn marks on the sofa and stains on the carpet. This didn’t bother me too much as overall the rooms are lovely but could be an issue for some guests staying. I did mention this to Mikkel during check out and he said that the hotel were aware of some wear and tear in the suites and were currently addressing this. - The buffet breakfast at the hotel was not that great. Hot food is limited and consisted of dry scrambled eggs, undercooked breakfast potatoes and equally dry omelettes. There were some options for fruit and cereals available and I will say the waffle maker was fantastic. I guess this is a bit subjective and everyone’s idea of a good breakfast is different, but I think it would have been nice to have some more hot options that were cooked correctly. The lady working there is lovely though and helped me make my waffles (which in a way saved my breakfast!). This wasn’t a massive issue for me as I generally like to have breakfast outside the hotel anyway, but I did stay for breakfast on my check out day for ease. I thought this might be worth mentioning as it’s something that can easily be rectified. Overall, I had a lovely experience here and will definitely stay again. I am an independent travel agent and would definitely recommend this hotel to my clients wishing to stay in Orlando. Thank you for making my stay an enjoyable one 😊…
This was a perfect place for us to stay. It was clean, close to everything we had planned to do, and the staff was friendly and willing to go above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Loved having a Keurig machine in our suite for morning coffee. Also loved having a washer and dryer right in our suite so we could do a load of laundry, which reduced how much we had to pack. Would definitely stay here again!
Such a clean and well put together hotel definitely our go to place for future stairs love the pool and the cabana the food was also good. I would recommend staying here to friends, family and co-workers.
This place was surprisingly nice for the price. Very close to universal studios. It’s an older hotel but everything was very clean and the room I stayed in was spacious. Check in was fast and easy. There was a bar area with a mini fridge and microwave. I would stay here again.
Throughout our stay the housekeeping were always really efficient and left our room gleaming. They were very generous with towels and toiletries which is often a problem I find at other hotels. Flora serviced our room twice and was very friendly and very thorough.
Hmmm lots of things need attention. Elevator broken, rooms need to be upgraded(TV, pull out bed really uncomfortable mattress worn out, paint cracking) all the gaming items near the pool are not free need to pay to play. The one item you could use for free was the bean toss which of course was broken. Overall not a bad place if you don’t plan on spending time in the rooms and want to see the amusement parks. In hind site would have paid a little more and stayed somewhere else. But if your on a budget it’s ok. They did a really good job selling it on the internet. 😀
Great location 6 min from Universal parks with shuttle and near other attracktions. Confortable rooms had 2 King beds, have food option in hotel and nice pool with bar. Breakfast not included but available a good selection and they brew Starbucks cofee. Staff has very helpfull and great costomer service. A complain I saw was that the hotel does not offer cleaning threw out the stay as this is a more self service stay they have trashshots on the floor and you can request fresh towels any time. Family of 4 and we really enjoyed out stay.
I enjoyed my time at the Pointe! Staff was attentive and friendly. Our king bed was so comfy and clean! The only downfall was trying to check in at 4 pm to get to a rehearsal dinner at 5, our room wasnt ready causing us to be late for our plans. But, the staff did everything they could to get us in our room ASAP. Great experience!
Great place, very friendly and accommodating. Clean and spacious rooms. The staff was very kind and gave some great recommendations! Lisa the bartender made our time by the pool a ton of fun! We’d definitely come back!
Hotel was great! We got much more for the price I paid! Will definitely be staying here every time we’re in Orlando! This hotel was very close to ICON park, Fun Spot and we were only 15 minutes away from Disney!!
