The Grove Resort & Water Park Orlando offers spacious rooms and a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere that many guests appreciate, especially when indulging in the on-site water park. However, reviewers frequently point out that the rooms could benefit from better maintenance and more consistent housekeeping. While the hotel's proximity to Disney is a plus, guests have called out the additional fees and the self-service approach to cleanliness, which detracts from the overall value. Service quality appears to be hit-or-miss, with some praising the staff's friendliness and others experiencing slow responses.

My family had a blast making memories here! From the 3/2 apartment style room, to the virtual assistant, water park, gym, pools; only thing we were missing was more time to enjoy. Staff was wonderful and super accommodating. Surf trainer, Elijah, was phenomenal with teacher our 8 year old daughter to surf at the Surfari water park. Our 5 year old son loved the lazy river and kid water section. Us adults enjoyed just getting to relax and not have to stress a thing.

The resort was a great place to spend a weeklong staycation in the midst of a pandemic. It wasn't perfect... we had to switch rooms upon check in because the first one they gave us hadn't been cleaned from the previous guests but they were quick to move us. The second room had some repairs in progress in the kitchen but maintenance was called and came within minutes to finish up the work and be on their way. Things improved from that point and the two bedroom family suite was very accommodating for the rest of our stay.
The resort is clean enough and there were always team members sanitizing pool chairs but I was disappointed to find hand sanitizer dispensers empty, sometimes for a day or two before being refilled. We brought our own but this should be a critical item during such a time as this. The elevators looked dirty and I would've liked to see more signs on frequent cleaning. I was also a little concerned about the volume of people present over the weekend. Pool chairs were not arranged in a manner suitable for social distancing and the weekend was very crowded, with nearly every pool chair in the waterpark occupied and people very close together in the lazy river. Fortunately, the volume of guests decreased significantly during the week, allowing for much better management of social distancing.
The amenities at the resort are good and the waterpark especially is a fun family place. Our sons spent time on the Flowrider each day of our stay and all of the Flowrider attendants were terrific with them. Luca was awesome and very helpful in instructing them and teaching them tricks. Tee at the Longboard Bar and Grill was fabulous and gave us the best bar and food service ever! The food and drinks were a little overpriced but the amazing service made up for the cost. The resort boasts a 4 star rating but I question that based on our experience and comparison to other 4 star locations. The dining options are very limited with only one restaurant being a true sit down dining atmosphere, and the menu is very minimal. The food was slightly above average but not spectacular. There isn't an option for room service either.
The fitness room is small but adequate. A suggestion would be to add a sand volleyball court on the property and a basketball/tennis court would be a great addition. Overall, we had a very enjoyable week long staycation here and will certainly consider returning should we decide to visit Orlando again.

We stayed for 10 days & had a 1 bedroom suite. Our son & family had a 3 bedroom suite right next door. Check in was quick & easy, staff were great. Room had everything we needed for 10 days, large fridge with ice maker, dishwasher, washer & dryer . The kitchen had all necessary dishes, pots & pans coffee maker etc. We ate in the restaurant downstairs 4 times & the food & service was always excellent. The little convenience store downstairs had a lots to pick from although it was very pricey. There is a Publix store not too far but I found it pricey also. Was told should have gone further to Walmart. The cash registers didn’t work for a few days but the staff was always pleasant although it had to be a real pain. The pools were nice but the kiddies pool isn’t heated & was too cold to use. Couldn’t use the lazy river or water slides one day due to a contamination. We couldn’t use the swan boats either because it was too windy the day we went to see. Didn’t look that bad to this Canadian but I guess the liability is bad in US.I wish we had more time to stay. There was a shuttle to Disney but it only ran 3 times to in the morning & back 3 times at night. It also said NO strollers but everyone had strollers on it anyway. The staff we dealt with were all amazing, bellman, housekeepers , front office etc. Would definitely stay here again.

FIrst of all, you cannot beat the price for the amount of space you get in your room...WOW! This property has its good points and bad points, but overall, I would definitely stay here again. I would have preferred more safety with regards to COVID and social distancing, but I do think they at least tried to some degree. Signs are posted, but I would have liked to seen more hand sanitizing stations, especially around the pool and waterpark areas. Waterpark was definitely way too crowded! Food offerings are also very expensive. Elevators seem very old and in need of maintenance (the one that I had to take daily to my room actually had an expired inspection sticker). Our room was missing soap and essentials in the second bathroom as well as four TVs and only 2 remotes. I still gave a 3 because the staff that I did interact with was so nice and the price of a 3 bedroom suite with a full kitchen and laundry room cannot be beaten. The property itself is also beautiful and my kids had a blast in the waterpark. In addition, I wish I had caught his name, but the guy assigned to my kids at the Flow Rider was the absolute best!!! Well worth the extra money for this experience...its all my kids have talked about since. I wish I had also known about the upgraded waterpark bands that allow line bypassing.

This large and sprawling resort feels poorly designed, unfinished, and has minimal signage for finding you way around. There seems to be a staffing shortage because rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis, and hallways were dirty for the 3 mights we stayed there. The pizza at the Valencia seemed like frozen pizza with toppings added on. A resort fee of $35 a day is too high for the value you get in return. The water park is nice, but again, so under staffed that they can't have both water slides open at the same time.

Just returned from The Grove and I must say I was VERY IMPRESSED. Upon check in, which went quickly I must say, we booked two 3 bedroom two baths suites. We asked if one of the suites could be upgraded to a three bedroom and our request was honored at no additional cost.

My family was blown away by the size of the suites. They were beautiful and clean. We most definitely took advantage of the kitchen. Bought our groceries from Walmart and cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner when we were in the room.

The beds were very comfortable. Didn't like pillows as they were too soft but I made the best of it. Water was always hot and the washer dryer was a godsend snce we washed all our dirty clothes prior to our departure.

The young gentleman, I forget his name, who assisted us with our groceries every time we came from Walmart was very pleasant and I just want to thank him so much. Sorry you didn't get a chance to taste the jerk porkchops my son made. We will have some for you next time.

One con I had was we couldn't open the safe in the room. Seems the last guest closed it and when we tried to enter a code it didn't work We called down to the front desk who said they were sending up someone to reset it but that person never came during the duration of our stay. We made due though.

The hot tub was a hit with my family after the long walks they took at Disney and Universal. The weather wasn't warm enough for the pool and water park.

The food at Valencia was awesome. The pizza at the Market was so too.

I would suggest even though the hotel provides a broom and dust pan purchase a Swifter since the floors can get a little dusty and housekeeping doesn't actually clean the rooms until you leave.

Overall, I loved my stay at the Grove Resort and will most definitely return.

We started our trip off with getting in early to the resort and were OK with the fee they would charge so we could enjoy the amenities. Unfortunately there was not a room available. So instead of being stuck waiting for an available room...Brianna at the front desk was so amazing working with us and finding a room that would suit our needs and allow us to enjoy the resort early. It was a great impression right from the start. We were over joyed with the size of our room (more like an apartment) we had so much space and the room was full of luxuries for us. If you want a great experience, head down to the Valencia and speak with the bartender Tiffany Jordan. She makes you feel so special and I enjoyed speaking with her several nights! The water park took great attention to cleaning all products and we had several fun days there. Keep in mind it is a resort so be prepared to do some walking, can get a little confusing finding your way around. Had an awesome time here!

This could be a great place but there are some big problems. This over 800 suite hotel has only resources for about 200 suites. The staff and facilities are completely overwhelmed and unable to provide the experience promised on the website. A call to the front desk the first night for linens for the pull out couch left us on hold for over an hour (we hung up after that and went downstairs instead so who knows how long we would have waited). Our kitchen was not fully equipped and it seemed as though many items had walked away but no one had inventoried our unit to replace items. We stayed in a 3 bed, 3 bath superior view unit. Our coffee maker was a Mr. Coffee that held 2 cups of coffee and would be what you expect to find at a Motel 6. We had 2 wine glasses, no mixing bowls and limited cookware. This was important as we planned to cook all of our own food due to the pandemic. The furniture was worn and stained with one chair having a very large rip. Getting a chair by the springs pools was not possible with my 76 year old father having to bargain with another guest to sit on an end table they were using. Getting chairs at the water park was even a larger problem. We had to live up at least a half hour before it opened to get seating with an umbrella. People were running around just to get covered seating. The units are spacious and would be great if kept up and kept stocked. The resort is falling away short as they aren’t providing the employees needed to take care of their guests needs. They should also offer linen exchange as it was difficult to find anyone to get fresh towels or sheets from. This hotel needs to evaluate their processes and come up with a better plan as they are not managing upkeep, demands or the needs of their guests. They need to add more pools as the springs pools would be sufficient for a resort one quarter the size. Large pool in water park was crowded (until someone pooped in it).

Positives:
If you make the effort to fight for good seats at the water park it is nice and relaxing. Dillon took great care of us and our boys enjoyed the 30 minute session with the blonde instructor who was very helpful and patient. Steve at the dock as well as the young lady were both very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed taking the swan boat out and brought our own poles to fish with. My boys enjoyed the flip flop arcade. E had s as nice view of lake Austin from our room and the screened balcony was enjoyable to sit out on. Suite was large and great to have 3 bathrooms. We also had a nice housekeeper who brought us fresh towels when I asked on our third day.

In Summary:
Unfortunately the bad outweighs the good. We won’t be back. We learned our lesson and will not choose a mega resort like this in the future.

Thank you for staying with us. We are happy to read that you enjoyed our water park, Flip Flops Arcade, and our friendly team members. We are, however disappointed to read about your concerns. It is wonderful to see our hotels filled with guests again. Our team is working diligently to attend to all of our guests and to accommodate the sudden influx of business we have seen this month. The hospitality industry in the Orlando area are all struggling to fill any open positions we all have. Our HR Team is working tirelessly to try and fill as many positions as possible. We do understand your frustrations in regards to our phone systems, as our team is frustrated as well. We have experienced an issue with our phone system and we do have Hotwire Communications onsite fixing the issue. This will be resolved. Your feedback is appreciated and it has been shared with the appropriate departments heads. We truly hope you will allow us another opportunity should you find yourself in the Orlando area again.

I was sooooooo excited to bring my family here! It was a last-minute trip and the deal on Groupon was too good to pass up. I think the amenities try to give the "wow" factor, especially since you can have 3 bedrooms for the price of a 2 queen bedroom at another location BUT! our suite was less than clean. I was super disappointed. The flooring in the living area and bathrooms hadn't been swept and definitely had not been mopped in some time. We had gotten water on the floor, naturally used a towel to clean it up. I have pictured what the towel looked like. Other items that should be routinely cleaned were dirty, the ceiling fan and bathroom fans, the walls had chunks of hair in one bedroom stuck to it. Cobb webs in the corners. Almost all the dishes I touched had food on them still, so I ended up washing them again prior to use. Additionally, as other commented, the building is difficult to navigate and the elevator waits are LONG, on average, it will take the elevator 3 or 4 trips before you can get on. But Stella in the salon was amazing and fun! Best pedicure I have had in my life! And an additional thought, if you're going to provide a pizza cutter? maybe provide a pizza pan or cookie sheet at least.

Had a great time at The Grove. It’s not located directly off 192 but off a side street which can be a bit tricky if it’s your first time there. Check in was quick and smooth. The hallways to the rooms were long and narrow and not pleasant if you’re walking with a bunch of people. Our two bedroom suite was very nice and spacious. The appliances were modern and the dishwasher , washer and driers came in handy. The cons about our room was that the lanIa partially faced another building so we did not get a good view of the lake and nature preserves. Also, do not get a room close to the walk way because the walls are very thin and you can hear everything in the hallway. Flip flops arcade was standard. The indoors mini golf is nice especially if the weather is bad. The pools were nice but very busy. It was difficult finding a seat in the water park. Also it was difficult getting a tube for the lazy river but when we did, we enjoyed it. The kids pool was not heated which I found to be strange. There was plenty of activities to do like boating and fishing at an additional cost of course. There’s a small kids club where kids can stay and do art work or build a stuffed animal. They even have a kids drop off from 6-10 for $40 where the kids participate in activities , play games, watch movies and eat pizza. One thing I really liked was the fact that I received and email days before I arrived with a welcome letter and instructions on how to make my stay more enjoyable. I do wish they had a better restaurant. The main restaurant looked like a high school cafeteria. The main thing I did not like was all the noise. I know the resort can not control noisy people . One night during our stay a group located a few floors below us had a loud party until 3am. Security tried to quiet them but it didn’t work. Overall I really liked The Grove and will be back
