My Husband and I stayed here for part of the Fourth of July weekend as we were going to the Coke Zero 400. We did our homework and knew what to expect for this place and I could go on and on about the history and how amazing all of it was, but you have to enjoy that sort of... More

If you are thinking or have booked here please get a refund. Handy man on duty is a drunk, doors do not lock well at all. I enjoy historic things but the smell you get is musty not vintage. Bathroom has mold and is kinda gross. PPl yelling all around the place and cops everywhere.

We booked this hotel because it was close to Blue Springs State Park, and it is very close, but we knew nothing about the hotel or Orange City. When we arrived we found ourselves staying in the oldest building in Orange City and one of the oldest continuously used buildings in Volusia County (it was first built in 1876, thus... More

This establishment is old but that is what adds to its character and charm. The prices are incredible. It is a historical place and makes you feel you are living in the past. The lobby is a museum. The bldg has a restaurant and bar in it. Ppl were friendly.

Had reservation with the hotel booked a week in advance. They called 2 hours before our arrival and canceled our reservation because they said they were over booked. Mistakenly called called looking for a room and also looked online to find out they had rooms available for over double what we booked it for. Would not recommend.

This hotel is antique/museum style beautiful. Original southern style home made into a hotel. They have a small museum showing postal office items as well as postal antiques. Each room is very different and very cozy. Not updated at all but definitely has that southern home feeling.

Had the opportunity to stay here for a couple of weeks and what a great place. From the moment you walk into the office the history is all around you. The entire staff is wonderful from the owner, his daughter and everyone else they all go out of their way to make your stay one to remember. The food in... More

I guess I could point out the fact that they have not apparently vacuumed the hall carpets in months, that there was no hot water, that the shower had not been cleaned, that everything in the room was "damp", that the shower head dripped all night, and that better beds could be found in the cot section of an Army... We checked in on a August day to move our daughter into Stetson University nearby. Outside the hotel left a lot to be desired. Peeling paint, run down, not the nicest area. Dirty laundry sat on the porch, along with a broken washer. We hoped that the inside proved differently. It didn't. First, we waited approximately 5 minutes as the... More
