This will have been my 4th visit to Rasayana with Julia and Dennis Mader. My first visit was for the full Ayurvedic treatment, as I was feeling depleted from my work and life in general. My program lasted 5 days, plus I received special culinary instruction from Julia on

Ah, that's not so easy to figure out from their website. It depends on the program you sign on for, but I think the cabin just by itself is about $175 a night; you can bring your own food as they provide a fridge, dishes, and hotplate. You can get meals with a cooking class (from 11am to 1pm, serving time), but not sure how much extra that is. I did the full program of breakfast, cooking class, and dinner; a full body massage in the afternoon, and meditation once in the evening. I think it worked out to about $600 per day. I was told by a friend that Ayurvedic treatments used to be for royalty, and hence their expense. I haven't confirmed it, but that path is really paved with gold For me, it was like a resort, with acres of peace, beauty and quiet, and I much preferred that to say, a Canyon Ranch. I got very dedicated attention and information specific to me. For me, the best part was the take away; I'm still doing several of the things they taught me; my diet has changed, I use body oil, and I am paying better attention to nurturing myself. I got a lot of special care, and for me, that was well worth the price.

"I stayed in the cottage next to the main house by the pond. It was lovely to wake up and see birds sunning themselves."
"Internet and cell service is spotty, due to it's remoteness, however, the Mader's made internet available by their house if it was needed."
"views are great wherever you are"
"This is a natural, rustic environment, not a resort/hotel. It is PERFECT!"
"the cabins are equipped with basic necessities. The cost doesn't translate into shampoo or plush towels, but to the location in nature."
