We had a lovely week's stay at the Sails. There was a hiccup at the beginning and Ted stepped in immediately and fixed it. We look forward to visiting again in the summer. We stayed in Room 201 which has a private balcony. Absolutely stunning views and a clean, comfortable room made our vacation fantastic.

I chose the Sails based on the reviews of others who have been here. What really makes this place a gem is the location right on the beach. I stayed in room 212. This is definitely a dated motel. I'm thinking the era is more from the 60s (some said 80s - err, wrong decade). 212 is definitely like an... More

Loved being right on the beach. This is an older place, but I felt very welcome and comfortable. We stayed in #211. You cannot see the beach/water from your room. This was sad, but we waited too long to book so we were lucky to snag even this room when we did. Even still, you can't beat stepping outside and... More

We have stayed at The Sails for our summer vacation for the last 10+ years. We have gotten to know Ted and his family and they have become as our family. It is a great mix of old Florida, family reunions, clean and friendly and we've made so many memories over the years. We've become friends with people from all... More

Once you arrive, park your car and put your keys away. Everything you need is within walking distance; great breakfast restaurants, and a variety of lunch and dinner choices. Also close by: Liquor store, beach rentals, convenient store, and of course the sand, water and beautiful sunsets are right there in your back yard. The staff is super friendly and... More

Our home base over the years when going to Florida has always been the Sails. This family own resort has given our family a comfortable picturesque surrounding to stay at. Conveniently located to many sights is a plus...along with the price. Each apartment is only steps away from the gulf and a beautiful pool/deck. A large private sundeck is a... More

We spent a week here. The location is wonderful. Beach is just feet away. Grounds and pool are immaculate. Our room was on 2nd floor and was nice though dated. Beds in room 202 are doubles. Kitchen was adequate though stove is old. Some cleaning needed on air conditioners but they worked well. Kitchen supplies are minimal--plenty of glasses and... More

Beautiful grounds and pool but the second hand smoke was unbearable. Smoking is allowed and encouraged by placement of ashtrays everywhere and it seems that everyone who stays there is a smoker (except us). The staff was unresponsive to a request to turn off an outside light that was making it hard to sleep and actually just made a joke... More

We have been to Sails several times. We go for the location and the service. The grounds are beautiful, we have used the outdoor grills and we love the pavilion. The rooms are a little outdated, but they fit our needs and we have no complaints. We have stayed in the 1 bedroom #210 and we have stayed in #208.... More

We have been vacationing in this area for nine years, four years ago found the Sails Resort and have stayed here for an extended period each March/April since retiring. We couldn't be more pleased with the facility, grounds and location. The owner takes great pride in the facility. The grounds are beautiful, nice pool, great beach and huge cement patio... More
