We were soooo glad to have our first visit to Captiva/Sanibel before hurricane Ian hit and changed the islands forever. Tween Waters is a great property in a primo location with quite a variety of activities including fishing and kayaking on the channel, sunbathing and shelling on the beach, and tennis and swimming on the property. All employee interaction was friendly and helpful, and Old Captiva House's food and beverages were awesome. We stayed in the Palmetto building which was in dire need of complete renovation and our room didn't meet our clean standards. This was our first time at this resort and perhaps some accommodations have been updated in other bldgs and cottages; we didn't ask but will before our next visit. Yes, we do want to go back depending on their answer! Hoping they take this hurricane disaster opportunity to overhaul outdated and worn out bldgs and rooms.…
A delightful resort in a beautiful setting. The serenity pool was a great alternative to the more active pool. The staff is wonderful - Ray was excellent, very attentive to everyone poolside. Had a fantastic massage at the spa. Loved the complimentary use of bikes and kayaks. Looking forward to returning.
No option to enter dates before 2021. My review is from a stay in 2006 or 7…maybe 8. I forget the year but I’ll never forget the experience. We rented the largest most expensive cottage and counted down the days. The Red Tide arrived just before us, closing all beaches. Zero shells. We had no idea until we checked in. Bummer. But….okay….Mother Nature…can’t do anything about her. We were prepared to make the best of our stay and get some much needed rest with great food. Not a chance. ‘Tween Waters offers day passes to non guests so the pool was standing room only with drunk people. Music was so loud you could not hear person sitting right beside you. Day pass included food and drink vouchers. Food service staff and bar were overwhelmed. Absolutely our worst vacation ever.
Tween Waters has it all! Water sports, quiet beaches, gorgeous sunsets & amazing restaurants nearby. Truly an island get away! This may have to be an annual destination for a little R&R…..ahhhh, yes please ;)
This was our 2nd stay this year and was one of the most memorable! The renovations are coming along and we can't wait to see how everything looks when finished. Olga in reception was so sweet and attentive; Danny and Joseph on the beach were super nice; Ray at the Oasis was great; and the best is Marissa in reservations!!!! We just love her and she always makes our stay the absolute best. Can't wait for our stay next May! Prayers for everyone's safety as Huricane Ian gets closer to the island!!!
my husband and i come back to tween waters inn at least once a year.. it is a lovely resort with all amenities to make for an extremely relaxing week without having to drive off the island for food, etc
Found this place on random search planning our 25th anniversary! We can’t say enough good things about this place. We will be back for sure. Access to beach was easy, pool area was great, access to other restaurants was convenient, and sunsets were spectacular. The staff at Tween Waters are above and beyond.
I took my 83 yo Mom to Tweens for a relaxing vacation, or so I thought. I requested a building with an elevator when I made reservations directly with Tweens. I called 3 weeks prior to our arrival to remind them about the elevator, and I was assured it would not be a problem. Apparently I should have requested "an elevator that actually works." We checked out the following morning as our 3rd floor room was not acceptable without a working elevator. I requested a full refund of my deposit (1 night), and I was given an invoice crediting me $328.93. (See attached photo.) When we arrived home, there was no credit on my credit card. I called Tweens to speak to the manager, (who never returned my phone calls), however, I received an email with an amended invoice crediting me for $115.93. These people are sneaky and dishonest. I regret now that I didn't take pictures of the overflowing trash on the property and the cars parked on the tennis courts. These folks need to do better, much better.…
This is a wonderful resort. My husband and I have stayed here about 30 times, usually twice a year. The location is ideal, the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is fresh and the drinks are plentiful. The pool is big and comfortable. We just love coming here. You can relax, kayak, bike, partake in fishing trips, collect sea shells.
Everything was perfect. My room, food, ambience. I really enjoyed staying at Tween Waters. I was part of the songwriter's festival and everyone was super nice. I'll definitely come to stay at some point.
