We booked in for 2 nights but we left and came home after 1 night as it was so awful. The website is misleading and misrepresentative of the actual accommodations. We booked a 2 bedroom beach cottage. I expected - just that, a beach cottage but what you get it one of 4 units 2 up and 2 down. The...

First, the wedding was wonderful and the staff couldnt have been more accommodating. A good friend of the family held a destination wedding and we were thrilled to attend. Having visited Captiva nearly 25 years ago I was surprised and delighted to see the island hadn't changed. Unfortunately, neither had the South Seas resort. Our significant cost ($279. + tax)...

Just returned from a week in a 2 bed Beach Villas in South Seas resort with my wife and 2 daughters (11 & 9). Our accommodations were nice, not great, but certainly better than I expected based on some of the negative reviews that I had read. The overall resort however is excellent and in particular the main pool area...

I was here for a destination wedding. The room was very spacious with a mini-fridge there without being ordered. Nice bathroom too. But, it was frustrating that the fitness room was at the other end of the resort, I couldn't get a chair by the pool next to my husband and the food at the wedding reception was unexceptional. The...

We just returned from a wonderful first trip to South Seas. With a few caveats--we enjoyed it and even purchased a timeshare unit and are negotiating on another. We stayed in the Beach Villas, Building 2300 on the first floor. we were told no elevator--but there was one . We would rather have been higher--but we live south of Captiva,...

We have a five and six year old and they said our time at South Seas was "better than Disney World". Granted we are from the Midwest and a trip to the beach is impressive for us, but South Seas was amazing. We plan on going every year! I would say this resort has many options. You want classes, tours,...

Over all the place has potential to be great but it fell short on all expectations from arrival to service to overall experience! The person I spoke to on the phone had provided misinformation. I ended up with a room that looked nothing like the brochure and requested to be moved. Eventually, we decided to eat the price of the...

My husband and two young children (2 and 6) stayed at the Bayside Villa for a week to celebrate a big birthday with 3 other families.
