We stayed in the Condos, Room 203. Really loved our bay view, simple room decor, easy parking and having 2 bedroom/2 bath, plus full kitchen and washer/dryer. King bed in master was super comfy. Excellent daily cleaning staff with attention to detail. Our flights were delayed so didn’t pick up groceries as planned for our 2-night stay, but local options for meals were abundant.

Coffee and tea available in the office, and great beachside attendant who helped with umbrellas, chairs and towels. Wonderful and easy ocean access. Pool was perfect temp. Would return in a heartbeat, but they sell out quickly! Loved seeing the dolphin in the bay one morning. Sweet surprise!

I am hesitant to write this only because I don't want this hidden gem to become overrun! Rarely do we like to go to the same place twice, but after having such a fantastic experience here on our 'babymoon' in October, we will be bringing our entire family back for baby's first beach trip this upcoming summer.

The website is super clear about what accommodations they offer, and if there is something you have a question about, you can always call or email in advance! I sent an email regarding a place for baby to sleep and they responded within the hour with a solution.

The rooms are basic but clean and nice and have everything you need. We stayed in a room on the second floor with two beds and a small kitchenette which was perfect for keeping drinks and snacks cold, and reheating leftovers from dinners out. The rooms were very clean and the book they provide with hotel and area information was extremely helpful.

Our beach experience was amazing and definitely the reason we will be returning this summer. The water is crystal clear and gorgeous. They make it so seamless by providing towels and setting up an umbrella and chairs for you every day. I recommend bringing some cash to tip the person who sets up your beach spot. The pool is small but warm and nice and a great place to cool down and relax. The sunsets are unmatched from the beach. A server from the Turtle Club restaurant patrols the beach most of the day taking drink and food orders which is SO nice and convenient. You're also allowed to have your own food and drinks so it's nice to have options.

I didn't feel like it was extremely crowded. There were all types of guests from families to couples to girls trips. Everyone was polite and respectful of each other's space on the beach.

We ate at the Turtle Club one time. The food is pricey and I felt that it was good but not fantastic. It could have been just what I ordered. The ambiance and drinks were wonderful. We will probably eat there once during our next stay, but we usually just ordered in and explored the local faire.

The location is great but there are only a few places to eat within walking distance, so I would recommend renting a car if you plan on going out to eat or doing any exploring or are planning a trip to the grocery store.

Overall, I foresee the Vanderbilt Beach Resort being a family tradition and can't wait to be back!

Stayed here on a girls trip and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The price was fair for having beach access just steps away. It was a busy time so ended up in one of their Deluxe Condos (10) across the street. So much room for 2 people but we loved having two separate rooms and bathrooms. We ate out every meal so never used kitchen much, but lived out on the screened in porch when we weren't on the beach, dining or touring Naples. Condo was nicely updated and well-appointed with everything we needed. We needn't need maid service for just 4 nights, but they replenished anything we needed upon request. The entire resort staff was very helpful and the restaurant manager even got us reservations at The Turtle Club when none were available online. We must have eaten at this restaurant 5 times - mostly lunch since it is first come first serve and our sunset dinner was the best we had in Naples. You can't leave town without a meal at The Turtle Club. The guys manning the towels, beach chairs and umbrellas were also very friendly and eager to assist in any way. This is a quaint resort that ticks off all the boxes! Don't hesitate to give it a try.

This is not a resort. It is a motel on the beach with a condo building across the street. The main two story motel rooms are nice but the air conditioner is super loud creating sleepless nights. The pool is small and gets very crowded, especially when large groups rent rooms. The clientle ranges from sloppy to conservative. There is a very busy/expensive restaurant underneath many of the rooms. The kitchen prep is loud and goes from 7am- 11 pm. One side of the motel outside of the rooms is storage for dining chairs, wait staff activity and other commotion, so if you rent on that side that is what you are looking at and listening to. This visit we decided to stay at the condos willing to pay more for quiet and a private balcony. We opened the door to our condo overlooking the bay and a MASSIVE, active construction site of a seven story building was in our face just feet away. The immediate disappointment was huge. Steel being cut all day with metal being hammered all day concrete machines working and crew yelling. The balcony was useless but we did wake up at 7am sharp reporting for duty with the workers. It is obvious management withheld this tidbit, but if they had acknowledged this, apologized and offered some level of compensation, it would have made a tremendous difference. We made the best of what we were stuck with. A crappy move to pull on people expecting "resort" like atomosphere for their vacation spending a lot time and money.

We are very disappointed that you did not enjoy your stay at the resort. Unfortunately, we do not control the construction of the condominium that is being built across the bay and down the street from us (not just feet away). While it sounds like that was the main issue with your stay, we do feel it necessary to respond to your other comments regarding our operation and clientele. We are a small family owned resort located directly on the beach. Our website very accurately describes our property complete with pictures, site plans, etc. We do our very best to ensure that all of our guests - from young families to older couples - have a pleasant and relaxing stay, which is something we have been doing for over 50 years. We have many many people who love us and return year after year after year - even generation after generation. However, we recognize that we can’t always please everyone. While we are disappointed that you did not enjoy our property, we appreciate your feedback and we wish you well.

The beds matched the theme of the restaurant. A Turtle!!!! Most uncomfortable sleep we ever had. I bet if the locals stayed here the beds would be comfortable. We checked in at 3 pm and tried to book reservation at the Turtle restaurant out back but they said they were booked solid. We asked if we could sit in the outside seating and they said no because of the light rain. We did not think much of it and went to swim in the pool. We started to notice that they never really filled up and were letting the locals come and go as they pleased. We also noticed they allowed a few tables to eat outside but not us .. we thought staying at the hotel would get us in seating. At 8pm 2 girls in a red Porsche pulled right up with no reservations and got right in... This place was recommended by my associate in the window.industry and we will never come back. Bring your own mattresses if you plan on staying here and good luck trying to eat at the Turtle restaurant.

This was my first time vacationing in Naples so obviously my first time at the Vanderbilt. I must say that I had an absolutely wonderful stay there. I booked a junior suite and stayed in Room 46. It was on the second floor and had a partial Gulf view. The room was a very nice size, very clean, updated for a beachy hotel, and had everything you needed. There was a livong room area with couches that doubled as twin beds. The kitchen area had a large fridge, stovetop, microwave, coffeepot, and all the dishes and silverware you would need. The bedroom was small with only a queen bed but it was comfy. There was no tv in the bedroom. The bathroom seemed the most updated and had lots of space and a great shower. The A/C worked well and the room was nice and dark in the morning with the shutters closed. There were a few chairs on the balcony to sit and look at the pool or Gulf. The location is perfect. This hotel is right on the beach and it literally is just steps from the water. Watching the sunset on the beach is not only breathtaking but it is also the social event of the night! Their restaurant, The Turtle Club, has outdoor seating with tables in the sand so you can eat dinner while gazing out at the Gulf or staying til the sun sets. Although I mainly just stayed on the beach, the pool was crystal clear, clean, and had that infinity pool look to it. All of the staff here was very pleasant and helpful, especially Chris, the general manager.

Besides loving the room and the beach, here are just some of the little things that stood out about this hotel:

1. The resort fee included beach chairs and umbrellas that were set up as soon as you requested them.

2. There was an automatic foot- rinsing machine by the pool to rinse off the sand. How clever! I had never seen that contraption before.

3. There is a bathroom across the street by the parking and the condos that has a full shower with towels so if you have to check out of your room but have a late flight, you can still use the beach all day and have a place to shower and freshen up.

I extended my stay during my trip because I liked this place so much. I also plan on returning in 2 weeks to celebrate my birthday.

Booked a one night stay on memorial weekend, checked in on Saturday, to check out on Sunday. At 11 am the front desk lady told me that we couldn’t stay in the hotel, that after check out, that we had to leave. I asked for access to the premises, bathroom, ice machine, to spend the day at the beach, but they didn’t allow us to get beach chairs, nor towels, and the worst part of it all is that we had to move the car . A total nightmare to find parking on a Sunday morning of memorial weekend,it was so disappointing that after paying nearly $400 you can’t even get a towel after checkout. This wasn’t the first time we stayed there and this didn’t happen before, So I honestly will never stay here again, because there is nothing worth the money; a regular room, if your room neighbor cooks, your room stinks, and for the same price at other hotels you get an access key to spend the day at beach after checkout, Don’t be tricked by the beachfront hotel advertisement, choose a hotel where your Money counts.

Thank you for your comments. We are disappointed that you did not enjoy your stay with us. We certainly understand the desire to continue to use our amenities after you have checked out of the hotel. Please understand that the hotel only has enough beach chairs and umbrellas to accommodate our checked in guests at the hotel. While we do our best to accommodate guests who wish to continue to use the beach for a few hours after check-out, the hotel cannot and does not guarantee that checked out guests will be able to use chairs and umbrellas on the beach after check out. When the hotel is busy, with many incoming guests, the hotel is not be able to always allow checked out guests to use our chairs and umbrellas because we need them for arriving guests. Hotel staff has the right to make decisions on a case by case basis based on busyness and availability. Memorial Day weekend is one of the busiest weekends of the year. If a guest would like to continue to use our full amenities for a second day on a holiday weekend, we suggest that they book a stay longer than one night. We do our best to be accommodating when we can be, so normally issues like this do not come up. We review and discuss guest comments with our staff regularly in order to make adjustments to improve the experience of our guests and we are discussing how to better handle situations like this. Thank you for your comments.

So far above our expectations. The room(s) are phenomenal. We traveled up and down the east coast and then the west coast of Florida and truly none of the hotels we stayed at could compare to the Vanderbilt. Loved the facility and the beach. The restaurant was with it's beach side seating as well as indoor seating was frosting on the cake. This facility is certainly on par for "resort" status. We will be going back!! We have shared our enthusiasm with friends and relatives.

We stayed in room 45 on the hotel (beach) side of the street. As a prior review noted, the kitchen for the downstairs restaurant is directly below these rooms and there is noise from 7 AM onward. Our recommendation is to only stay in hotel rooms on the North side or in the condos across the street. Otherwise, everything was fantastic. The room was completely clean and updated with a glass shower and crown molding. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but it seemed very popular.

The closest shopping center with shops and restaurants is a little over a mile away from us. Most places require a car, as the town is spread over a wide area, but Naples does have car services like Uber and Lyft.

We wish that we were able to predict the effects of red tide. The conditions on a given day really depend on the direction of the wind. For the most up-to-date information on red tide and for our cancellation policy, please call our front desk. We hope to see you soon!

Our resort is open all year, although our restaurant, The Turtle Club, usually closes for a week or 2 in September for maintenance and cleaning. We particularly love August because the town of Naples is a bit emptier. It is usually pretty hot (perfect weather to lounge in the Gulf or in the pool), and the tropical afternoon/evening thundershowers roll in and out somewhat quickly, leaving our gardens lush and green.
