Super nice, piano music in the lobby, but many of the rooms have a poor view unless you spend a fortune to upgrade. Its right next to the super crowded public beach and public parking lot, Many people that are not guest make their way to the lobby to use the bathrooms. Many of the public viewing areas are blocked by the vegetation and Gumbo Limbo bar. Super expensive for what you get compared to other ritz like Amelia Island where every room gets at least a side ocean view and many are ocean front. You can easily pay a fortune to stay at the ritz naples and get stuck with a parking lot view. They do nothing special for Marriott Platnium members probably because so many rich people stay here that they don’t need to. Probably the most expensive ritz in florida but not the best ritz in florida.…
We hadnt visited for a while & although the location is magnificent we were somewhat disappointed. It took 25 minutes to serve our starter. Although you expect to pay Ritz Carlton prices we found the wine rediculously expensive. The cheapest bottle costing $59/€20 a glass. We found the price/quality of the food & drink disappointing.
Here is my review in a timeframe of covid context: C--Caring team, especially with the details. O--Overtop concierge team V--Victorious mindset in service I--Inspirational surrounding for the hotel; especially the beach D--Dedicated to excellence in food and positive experiences I am sure you will enjoy this hotel property.
We stayed on the 12th floor facing the gulf, very nice view. The staff was fantastic, however the property is just a little run down. We had to be moved from out first room due to bugs, the second room #1121 the bathroom door was rotting at the bottom. The coffee in the gourmet shop was brewed wrong it was so weak you couldn't tell it was coffee. Additionally the granola & yogurt was gross. The granola had been in the yogurt so long it was mush. Also seems a little petty to charge $50 to use the steam shower in the spa/gym. Ive been to 6 RC's where that wasn't the case. I stayed with points, but if I spent $900 a night I'd be pissed. The staff was fantastic & thats what kept this from being a 1 star review.
The Ritz Naples upholds the Ritz quality. Check in was a breeze, and the staff was very friendly. Throughout our trip they would smile and say hello whenever we walked by the front desk. Our room was excellent—fairly spacious with a great view of the gulf. The two pools were well heated (which was important since a couple days were chilly during our stay) and the staff at the pools was very attentive. I will say both pools were quite shady— a high rise next door blocks the sun. I think this is probably because of the time of year, and as the sun is higher in the sky this spring the shade will be less of an issue. The beach was fantastic—beautiful white sand. You can walk for miles along the beach in either direction. Nancy at the concierge desk was very helpful in getting us dinner reservations. Throughout the hotel appropriate social distancing was observed. Overall, just an outstanding stay. …
