Hotel has not recovered from the hurricane. We would not have stayed here had we realized the main pool wasn’t open, the building we thought we booked a room in is still shut down, the small pool that was open is right next to the shuddered building. We were not able to get poolside seats because members had placed drinks next to every chair “saving” the seat. We never saw anyone sitting in them. Only one elevator was operational, and this was for guests and staff. Hotel was not fully occupied, but, yet they put us in a room right as you walk off the noisy elevator. The restrooms for the pool/beach are still closed and you have to go in the main lobby from the beach or pool to use the restroom. The restaurant Baleen was fantastic! It appears the hotel is just not ready to be opened back up…..…

Arrived the rooms in the gulf tower were not connecting and not two queens And a king but one phone all the manager Claude sorted everything out and moved us to the most beautiful rooms ever! Large balconies, comfortable home from home rooms. Dielectric access to the beach. Robes. Everything just spot on. The food in the restaurants was delicious. We loved everything about La Playa. The beach is pristine. The staff and service service impeccable, especially Claude who retrieved my clothes I stupidly forgot there and gave us two wonderful rooms. We will be back next year hopefully if everything is ok in Naples after the terrible hurricane.

Nice small hotel on an exceptional beach. Your lounge chairs and umbrella plus towels are included. Gulf waters are warm but refreshing. Nice beach walks. Good service. Nice shop in Lobby. Food is good. Ceasar salad is awesome. Grouper dish was disappointing—-they should simplify it.

I would like to pay special attention to the following staff members, we have been going to La Playa since my son turned (5) and my daughter (3) he is now 7 1/2 and she is (6) it was great to see familiar faces after the storm and meet new ones as well. Claude- Front Desk was patient and kind It was great to see that Cornel & Michael are still on site. Maura & Gerogiana from F&B I hope Manny makes a speedy recovery. Billy, Nadya, Belafort, Carmelo, Nick, Juan, Vinny, brandon, Maius, Thomas, Chris - pool, bar,beach and restaurant servers Arlene in housekeeping. you guys made special memories for my kids once again and my parents who were there for the 1st time couldn't stop speaking on how great the rooms, the staff were. we had a very disappointing stay. the tv had terrible reception- most of the time the picture was pixelated- even after the engineer and IT were consulted. ONly one elevator worked and there was no a/c in the one that worked. There was only one small pool available and it was filled with children all day. When I called to make the reservation, I asked what amenities were not available and the woman did not mention any of what I listed above. The Baleen restaurant was good enough food but not what was touted to be. It only opened 3 days before our stay,... so that was another amenity that was not mentioned when I made the reservation a month earlier. The staff was friendly so that is a redeeming feature.

We stayed at La playa for 2 nights 17th to 19th of July. This was the 8th time staying here it is always our go to place in Naples. Due to it being shut would didn’t book it this year but saved 2 days incase it reopened which it did and we booked tower room 12 floor through Amex. A few days before our stay as we were in Naples we pop by after reading some reviews on trip adviser and Google which worried us. Pulling up it looked worst than it is . Once popping inside it reassure us and we kept our booking. Out the front the valet side is not finished but will be I’m guessing within a week or so. Lobby perfect as always, restaurant fully open and bar. Lifts were a small issue only one working and very hot but not as bad as the reviews are saying. 1 pool is open which feels very clean but La playa is all about the beach which is perfect . There is some construction noise but this is minimal and the beach is beautiful and relaxing . Negatives for me were The pillows, beds are comfortable but the pillows are shocking and to be honest always have been . I also think the hotel are missing a trick because guess are paying full price and it wouldn’t hurt to walk the beach, pool with a free token gesture like a small iced smoothie or something like that as there is some small inconveniences and little things go along way. Water on the beach they would always would give you jugs this time only the water filling station and on day 2 nothing!!! It’s hot on that beach . Sofa beds in rooms are not great and parking and resort fees add up. Positives All the staff outstanding, beach and view unbeatable. Breakfast very good and the rooms are nice but I think would be better with just a shower . The biggest thing is we know all the hotels in Naples and none measure up to La playa, not sure what it is but we love this place and it’s very special to us. Please stay there the hotel is fine as of the 17th when we were there and I heard the staff saying they got paid throughout 👏🏽which is great management We will go back next year miss the views and beach already…

W brought our whole family to Laplay for a long weekend and celebration of life for our beloved Aunt. Everything was wonderful and staff goes above and beyond. We had a private dinner at Baleen and the food was wonderful and chef and wait staff forst class. Rooms are gorgeous and view can not be beat!

This was the third year in a row our event the FMSI Brake Weekend™ was held at LaPlaya beach and Golf Resort. Its Naples, so basically everything on the beach is lovely. LaPlaya is no exception. Our guests love it here, as the organizer of the event i love it here. that starts and ends with the staff. I have not once had a complaint personally or from our guests in 3 years. That says more than I can here. If you are planning a corporate event, I highly suggest LaPlaya. If you come prepared, and put in the effort, the staff will make your event as close to perfect as you can get. If you are working with Julie, Julia, and Diego you are in good hands. As the organizer of your event you will be hustling around making sure all is well. Cornell will be there for you to make that smooth Oh. and be sure to do an event on the beach! its top notch, but be prepared for sun, so make sure you have umbrellas, and when it gets dark, some lights book it, and enjoy…
