My husband and I spent 2 nights during the Mount Dora Craft Fair in the Vanilla room. From the moment we arrived we knew this was our place. Arthur had prepared homemade chocolate dipped strawberries that I pre-ordered and they were amazing. Our room included a wonderful soaking tub that we both enjoyed. It was craft fair weekend and Adora is just outside the road barriers so you are never more than 1-3 blocks from all activities and the lovely Lake Dora with a convenient place to park if you want to do any sightseeing. We never moved our car as all we could want was at the Adora. We had a delicious private candlelight dinner on the porch prepared especially for us that was perfect. Started with Caprese salad with beautifully ripe tomatoes, we couldn't decide between salmon or lamb so we ordered both and each was cooked perfectly. The apple tart was award winning and it is hard to imagine one chef can cook sweet and savory equally well. Did I mention the excellent breakfast that is included as well? A few highlights included fresh fruit every morning, spinach frittata, croissant french toast, chicken and apple sausage and homemade scones. John and Arthur are perfect hosts and always available to help with any request. Yes we will be back again, perhaps when the town is a bit quieter so we can enjoy all that Mount Dora has to offer without the crowds and you can be sure we will be staying at the Adora Inn and looking forward to our candlelit dinner on the porch.

John and Arthur are the charming and easygoing owners of this B&B located a couple of blocks from downtown Mount Dora. Old historic house is furnished Art Deco style - minimalist in a very cozy kind of way. Clean and comfortable rooms. Lots of downstairs areas to sit - relax - write - reflect - enjoy quiet time. Best of all: NO TVs, hurray!!! In terms of food, J&A are most accommodating of all preferences and dietary requirements (gluten-free toast available, for example.) I didn't partake in the breakfast since I was leaving each day very early to cycle with the Bicycle Festival, but J&A had coffee available 24/7 (yummy!) and offered to fix a lighter and earlier-timed breakfast for cyclists who wanted that. My friends who did have breakfast said it was just fabulous. I personally appreciated VERY MUCH that J&A just let us each do and choose what we preferred. with no awkwardness or pressure at all: it was basically like home away from home, except BETTER because you've got 2 great guys taking care of everything for you! :-)) I am already concocting plans to be back...

My husband and I spent 2 nights at this B&B Inn while visiting Mount Dora. We stayed in the Vanilla room, which was charming and comfortable on the 3rd floor. The entire inn was perfectly kept and John and Arthur were welcoming hosts. The breakfasts were delicious and hearty portions to get the day started right. We highly recommend the private dinner option that they offer - it was a highlight of our trip!! The Inn is walking distance into the downtown area, which meant we didn't need to move the car at all. We will definitely be back to the Inn the next time we are in Mount Dora.
