We highly recommend the Adora Inn in Mount Dora FL. We recently celebrated our anniversary there and were delighted with the experience and accommodations. Although it is a historic landmark, the Adora Inn is modernized, clean, and well-appointed with designer furnishings, artwork, soothing music and fresh flowers. We stayed in the lovely Olive Room with fireplace. The king bed was incredibly comfortable. Hosts Arthur and John, are gourmet chefs. The breakfasts that they served on the porch were delicious. Next time we go, we definitely want to have them cook us a special dinner one night. The Inn is within walking distance of the town and all activities, which is such a plus. Tripadvisor
What I can say about Mount Dora, FL is that I quickly learned there are MANY places you could choose to spend your money there but you would honestly be doing yourself a disservice by not spending it for a stay at Adora Inn. GO FOR THE EXPERIENCE - breakfast reimagined amid the perfect scenic backdrop each and every morning. STAY FOR THE COMFORT - relax in a fully furnished private room within a beautifully decorated pristine home. RETURN FOR THE MEMORIES - swapping intimate stories over cocktails and meeting new friends that could only be made in a setting such as this. My wife and I have stayed in many resorts around the world and trust me, a stay at Adora Inn won't disappoint you!
We drove over from Orlando for a night away. We heard great things about Adora Inn & they did not disappoint. The house is beautifully decorated, the rooms were cute & cozy and the hosts, John & Arthur, were warm & welcoming. The experience exceeded our expectations. We’re both looking forward to staying here again.
This is our second visit to this lovely B&B. The first time we visited during a very busy Christmas season. The town was all lighted up and beautiful. This time we visited for one night on a quiet Thursday. We were able to walk the streets of Mount Dora and visit a few of the shops. We stayed in the Olive room which came with a comfortable King size bed, a nice sitting area and a small shower, toilet room attached. The sink was in the bedroom, like I’ve seen in homes in The Netherlands. After a nice walk around town we refreshed ourselves. By advance agreement, Arthur and John provided a cozy dinner by candlelight on the porch. For a extra fee they offer a 3 course menu and you pick between the chicken, fish, beef or pasta dishes. We loved the Pasta Primavera we had in December, wanted the same dish for our second visit and it was was delicious as I remembered! John and Arthur are excellent cooks. We sleep comfortably and we woke up to the lovey sound of birds in the trees outside our window. It was a sweet awakening. For breakfast we were again treated to a filling breakfast. Fresh fruit, French toast with chicken sausage and grilled pineapple! Yummy. Sadly, we had to be on our way, but very much look forward our next visit. I think we will request the Vanilla room on our next visit since we’ve already stayed in the Primrose room. My goal is to stay in a different room each visit. But what won’t change is the nice, comfortable, relaxing feeling you get visiting John and Arthur in their delightful Inn.…
First trip to Mt DORA, decided to finally try a bed & breakfast, they may have ruined us for future B&B’s though as their breakfasts are out of this world. The inn has been beautifully restored and decorated nicely, highly recommend this Inn
