Join us for an overnight or an extended stay during the winter or summer seasons and you will quickly realize just how special this area of Florida has become. Whether you have a pop-up camper or a 45' class A motorhome, it will fit in our spacious 60-to-80-foot pull through sites. All of our RV sites are all pull throughs, and you have a choice of a standard gravel site or stay in one of our executive sites. Milton/Gulf Pines KOA is one of the top-ranked campgrounds in the gulf coast and it's 30 minutes from the beautiful beaches on the Gulf of Mexico.
You don't need an RV to stay here. We also have cozy cabins, from a rustic 4 person to an 8 person deluxe cabin. If you want to get back to nature, pitch a tent in the woodsy tent area. Plan a party in the large clubhouse with full kitchen. This campground is a great place to stop for a day (less than a mile from I-10) or to stay for a season.
If I can give a zero point I would. We booked this KOA since February for 3 nights in June from Wed till Saturday. This campground change our dates to Tuesday to Friday without informing us through the phone of the changes only through email (which we found out the day of which we planned for arrival). They said that someone called and changed it back in March. We never received any email in March about the changes but we received one email on June 1st about the changes. We booked the patio site. They force us to move on Friday night to the standard site and gave us “their big discount which is 15%”. Didn’t sound like a BIG discount to me at all. Their regular reward discount is already 10%. Also, if we move on Friday we have to wait until one of the site becomes available which is after 11 am. So now, we have to waste our morning to wait for it, what kind of business is this? we have been staying with KOa along our trip for the last 2 weeks. Never stay here ever again.…
VERY DISAPPOINTED! WAY OVER PRICED!!! Watch for the poorly repaired potholes in the main drive to office. Looks like they didn't have enough filler. They are sinking. Our site was a sand, mud and a tree root mess. We did get shown to our site and the guy was gone! We never did find the cable jack. Our site also was the pass thru for people using the buildings on either side of our spot. Constant I10 road noise 24 hours a day. Tried to call the office the first day here and they were gone, maybe 6PM. Day two drove by a little past 5 and closed again. Wow, real banker hours. This should be listed as a RV Park and not a campground, it is very obvious many more long timers than people passing thru. Every site is modified differently. Some have nice grass, some gravel, some cement, no consistency as most places have. Not any of the workers in carts ever waived, just looked straight ahead and drove.…
Got on waiting list after picking up site map at office. Got call later same day about 2 openings. Asked for site numbers available. Stated they couldn't tell us any specific site numbers, but guaranteed a spot somewhere. Only a couple sites looked bad, but wouldn't want to be stuck in one for a month I didn't like. Really hoped to book here. Would book with guarantee of specific site.
We really enjoyed this campground. I’m not sure what the negative comments are about! We stayed here for 3 nights and had no issues. The pool was relaxing and clean, our kids enjoyed the game room and putt putt. The laundry facilities were well kept. All staff was friendly and it was a short drive to the beach!
This KOA isn't as described. There's no pool cover, no "KOA Patios", and the Putter Golf has cracked cement instead of green material of any type.Sites OK large and easy pull through but disappointing amenities
Made a reservation for October in September. Charged one night to hold reservation. Two days prior to visit, bad weather came in to area, so I called to cancel. Though their policy says 48 hours notice, was told it had to be 72 hours. Asked if we could use at another KOA: no. Could we rebook for another time? Yes, just call and let us know when: we have reservation on file. Called today: NO record of my name, phone, nor reservation or deposit on file. Sent proof of deposit charge. Was still told they would never let me rebook unless I did it on the day of cancellation, though they now have no record of reservation. Very bad for business!
The staff is very efficient & friendly, but the camping facilities are in dire need of modernization. There is a nice clubhouse & pool area, but as far as the camping areas, they are the worse I have ever stay in 30 years of camping. During this same week, I stayed at both Henderson Campground & Blackwater Campground, both of which are well-maintained and manicured, and there is really no comparison. The campsites are dirt, there are oddly located cement patio areas with a picnic table, but there is no attempt to even outline a designated individual campground area - it reminds me more of a trailer park than a campground. DO NOT book this campground if you are planning a vacation, you will be disappointed - a one night quick stay is okay. When I think of KOA, I think of the quality facilities I have stayed at in the past, and this is the is one of the worst.…
This is a nice KOA. Staff is super friendly. Some of the campers could use course in keeping their area clean. All and all I would stop over but would not extend stay no more than that. Hope it gets better
I wrote a review in 2018. The koa had a new, very rude manager. We stopped staying there our usual 3 times a year. I was fully expecting to never stay again. Early 2019, I found out that manager was gone. We took a chance there again. The new manager, Mike, was awsome!! Thanks Mike for a wonderful stay!! We will see you again in a few months.
The good: Staff in registration was very friendly and welcoming. Groundskeepers were extremely nice and gave us helpful information. They worked non stop and the clean, neat grounds are evidence of that. The laundry room was spotless both times I used it and the machines worked great. The campground is very close to grocery stores, restaurants and other businesses. There’s activities like bingo and ice cream socials. The bad: There were helicopters overhead all day every day for the entire week. There’s a race track up the street, and as usual it’s right next to a busy highway. The laundry room is too small for any more than one person at a time. There are 4 washers and 4 dryers with very little space between them. This place is fine for 1 or 2 days maximum. If there was just one issue (just helicopters or just race cars or just loud highway noise) I’d have rated them 5 stars.…
