Booked this place because it’s got a pool, and I had a long day before a late evening flight out of Miami so was looking forward to just relaxing and reading by the pool all afternoon. Well it’s only open 9-3 so you check-in and can’t use it?! The entire area is chained up so you can’t even sit and enjoy the patio furniture. Nowhere to sit outside at all. It’s Miami! It’s 90 degrees, but sorry?!! So the pool is open between the time when most people check out and before others can check in. Make it make sense please. Filthy furniture and sticky carpet in the room, 2 tiny pillows on the queen bed, I asked for extras and was given two more no problem but come on. The free airport shuttle never came to airport despite repeated assurances from the front desk that it should be there any minute. Waited almost an hour before just taking a $20 taxi which we should’ve done in the first place. I watched every other hotel shuttle come by 2-3 times. For $130 a night you want shampoo AND conditioner? Nope. There’s no one to tell, because it’s absolutely apparent that no one cares. After being told I couldn’t use the pool I tried to get some work done in the room instead, but housekeeping stopped cleaning the room adjacent to mine to have a full on conversation for nearly an hour standing directly outside my door. Front desk people are probably not making a living wage so I can’t fault them for their attitude but this was all around one of the worst stays anywhere in recent memory.…
Booked the Sleep Inn for the location and price. The front desk was friendly and helpful. The room was good and comfortable. The go breakfast was a little better than usual. Did not try the pool, but it look clean and ready. If close to the airport, and reasonable price is what you are looking for, this is a reasonable option.
Due to an airline delay, we missed our connecting flight. We made a reservation at Sleep Inn for 3 rooms. However, the airline agreed to give us hotel vouchers at a different hotel. We immediately called back 45 minutes later to cancel the reservation. The hotel charge my credit card for 4 rooms not 3 as a result of a no-show. I called to advise that we did cancel the rooms. Then we were told since we booked the rooms at approximately 1:45 PM on the day of the reservation, there was no cancellation period. At no time when we made the reservation or canceled the reservation were we told we would not be able to cancel the reservation. We were specifically told the credit card was necessary to hold the rooms. After explaining all of this to the general manager on site, he refused to give a refund for the rooms. I explained the reservation was made and cancelled approximately 1/2 hour later. My credit card was charged close to $600 for 1/2 an hour reservation and he still refused to refund the money. I feel a reputable hotel chain would not have such a policy and would refund the money without hesitation.…
We stayed here the night before our flight back home as our "overnight location" It was close to the airport and the staff was friendly. the rooms are clean and pretty updated! All in all we would gladly stay here again on an overnight!
Do not stay here, very shady company! they charged me for a night i did not stay $106.87, when I called to find out why there was an extra charge, the manager refused to speak with me. the person who answered said it was a 3rd party booking through booking.com. Not sure how this would happen as I use the app. After much research and 6 hours of a multitude of phone calls with the main company Choice Hotels, nothing was done. They also added a random charge of $5.00 two deposit fees of $50 only one $50 charge was returned so They have stolen a total $161.87. For being in a pandemic a low on funds this is criminal. not sure what to do. i guess i have to file a report with miami police and bbb? idk this has never happened in the 10 years using this company
