Staying at this hotel was a requirement for travel with my school so that I could be testing for COVID 19 before traveling out of the country. If I had any choice in the matter I would have stayed somewhere else. The person who checked me in was very nice and so are the people who have been serving our meals to take to our rooms, but that's the only positive about this hotel. I'm a Hilton Honors member and this being a Hilton hotel makes me rethink belonging to their program. I may just switch over to Hyatt completely. First off my room is dirty. Very dirty. There are dried noodles stuck to the side of a cabinet near a trash can, the countertops are sticky, there's some brown crusty stuff in one of the sinks and there were clumps of long black hair in the shower. At any other time this would be gross but its especially concerning that during a pandemic, this hotel places stickers on the mirror and door stating that room has been "cleaned and sanitized" for my comfort. My room is not an isolated case either. Another couple checking in had a food left over from the person before them in their room. Another issue is that the walls are really thin and you can hear everything going on in the rooms next-door. I was up until 2 am last night listening to someone knock against something in the room next to mine and up above me it sounded like someone was moving furniture. The hotel is old and it shows but that doesn't mean that it can't be clean. If you're looking for a place close to the airport that actually cleans their rooms and has friendly staff, I recommend the Hyatt Place next to this hotel.

I checked in Monday and checked out Wednesday, this trip was a "Staycation" the Front Desk agent Victoria was very helpful, she gave us a high floor with a balcony and didn't make us wait for the room. The lobby is the center of the hotel, you can see the lobby from every floor and the set up is clean, tranquil and relaxing. Juan from Engineering had to come to our room for the phone and was able to identify the issue immediately without breaking a sweat. Norma the overnight agent helped me charge my phone when I left my charger at home, everytime I called she never gave an attitude, from the time of booking my reservation she had the patience to find me the best rate, applied whatever changes that were still there when I checked in, if it wasn't for Norma I would not have such an easy seamless reservation. Honay from grill 305 did everything by himself, he served as the host, server, bartender, busser for our table while taking care of other people. The lemonade was amazing! The chef made the wings very crispy in taste we had to order another one. The housekeepers were very accommodating and very approachable when we needed something from their carts. Given the Corona Virus pandemic the staff operated with professionalism, it's hard times that we are under so many places have taken a big hit especially hospitality but I'm glad to see that Embassy suites has not used this as an excuse to deliver less than perfect customer service. The rooms just need to be updated or renovated they seem old and out dated. I can't wait until Corona Virus is over! Miami isn't known for its customer service which is why it was suprising to have been taken care of.

This was the best stay I’ve had in Miami. The security of the building, the amenities, the staff everything was awesome. Every staff member that I came in contact with was very respectful and kind. The breakfast staff was very kind as well. They were fast and pleasant. The room was everything. The pool was very warm and clean. The entire facility was super clean and I felt safe being in these times we’re living through. I would absolutely book again!

I called this hotel inquiring about long term parking for the MIA airport. The reception suggested I book a reservation through cheap airport parking.com. When I booked a reservation through that website it stated that the free shuttle to the airport runs every 30 minutes. See attached photo. I then booked the reservation on that website and parked at the hotel at 315 PM for my flight out of MIA. When I asked the reception when the next shuttle would depart for the airport she stated 4PM. I questioned her as to why the shuttle would not appear sooner in accordance with the 30 minute policy advertised online. She informed me that the website states that the shuttle now runs every hour due to Covid. She was clearly not empathetic that that I had a flight to catch. Rather, she was defensive and unapologetic. Her customer service skills were sorely lacking. I then had to pay for an uber to get to the airport on time. I never would have booked a long term parking reservation at this hotel if I was informed the shuttle ran every hour. Further, due to the rude behavior of this customer service rep I shall never stay at any Embassy Suites in the future.

I think the problems are a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. First Problem, most Hotels automatically recognise my Hilton Gold Status. This one didn't seem to care. For some reason, probably because of COVID-19 pandemic etc... you had problems with guests who usually wouldn't be in an Embassy Suites Hotel. Example: No concern about the level of noise disturbing other hotel guests. Poor personal hygiene during breakfast. I'm 100% positive that if I went after this pandemic finally ends, it would be a different experience.
