Bentley Hotel on Ocean Drive is a Good location and has a good view but what MADE our stay GREAT was Miguel the concierge. Not only was he welcoming, informative, and friendly but he’s an all around cool dude!!!! Oh & He hooked us up pool side & beach side! So, if you’re ever @ the Bentley on SB, take care of Miguel cause he definitely takes care of you!!!!!
Bentley Hotel was really nice and had very pleasant staff. The most helpful was Miguel Toledo! From start to finish he helped us get around the hotel, with luggage, and even recommend restaurants and fun activities. Definitely a place I would stay again and recommend to my friends and family! Miguel made it feel like home!
Miguel at the Bentley hotel was absolutely wonderful during our stay here! We were here for anniversary and he made every moment of our trip unforgettable. From beach chairs to the beach cruisers and restaurant Recommendations! I definitely recommend this hotel and will be back! customer service was amazing by everyone at this hotel.
My family and I loved our stay at the Bentley. The two things that stood out the most was the great location to so many restaurants and the beach as well as how accommodating and friendly everyone was. The room itself was also great. Also, Miguel really stood out with how incredibly friendly and hospitable he was to everyone. There’s a reason everyone loves him so much, he is the best! We loved our stay at the Bentley and would definitely come again.
On July 12th, my party of 8 checked into the Bentley South Beach. I booked the penthouse, my cousin booked the premier one bedroom and my friends booked 2 studio doubles, totaling 4 rooms. The night before, I spoke to “Tracey” who informed me that because the hotel was fully booked on July 11th, it might be a challenge to accommodate early check-in (because our flights arrived at 9am on 7/12), but she would make notation of our request and the staff would do their best to accommodate. I was extremely grateful of Tracey’s assistance. Upon our arrival, we were met by the friendly concierge attendant, Miguel who helped store away our luggage while we went to eat nearby and waited for our rooms to be ready. At around 2pm, 3 out of 4 rooms were ready: the double studios and 1 bedroom. My penthouse was still being cleaned. While I waited for my room to be finished, we all went to the 1 bedroom suite and within 15 minutes, we were met with a knock on the door. When my cousin opened, it was the check-in employee, SAM and security informing us of loud noise. It was 2:45p and we were just talking about our plans for the week. We kindly said, “OK” but were thoroughly confused. We even checked the hotel’s quiet hours policy on their website, and it listed 11p-9a. Therefore, why were we notified in the afternoon when we were JUST talking? My room was ready at 4pm. I collected my key from SAM who was in her 30s and Asian. After settling into my room, (2 hours later) I received a call from this same woman stating that I did not give my security deposit. I told her I was never asked or instructed to give one. She still made it seem like it was my fault and demanded that I come down to pay the $300. I told her that I was getting ready for my birthday dinner reservations and I would pay the deposit on my way out. While still getting ready, I received another call from this woman demanding I come down to submit the deposit payment. She also offered to come up to my room to retrieve my credit card. I said absolutely not, I will be down soon. I ran down to get it over with and when I went back to my room to finish getting ready, my key card didn’t work. SHE DISABLED MY KEY CARD because SHE FORGOT TO COLLECT MY DEPOSIT AT CHECK-IN. So then, I had to wait FIFTEEN MINUTES for her to meet me at my room with new keys. The next morning while showering, I noticed the sauna feature in my bathroom did not work. In addition, the AC in the bedroom was broken. The vent only worked in the living room. I called the lobby to request maintenance to fix said issues. When they arrived, I left the room and went down to my friends’ rooms. Upon returning 2 hours later, I found NEITHER issue was fixed. I had no time to go down to the lobby because I had another eating reservation to attend. My friends joined me in my room to get ready with me. There was a total of 8 women in my penthouse room. Not at one point did I receive a phone call or visit about ANY issue. Our night concluded way into the early morning of 7/14. As we all walked to our rooms, passing by security and the night employee, we anticipated another fun-filled day in Miami. Around 9:30a, my friend answered the room phone and woke me up stating the manager needed to speak to me. When I answered the phone I was told that I was speaking with the general manager, NOURA who was also in her 30s and Spanish and that my party and I had until 11am to vacate the premises or police would be contacted. I asked her what warranted this call. NOURA told me my party and I have been a disturbance the entire time we’ve been here. I asked when was I ever told about a disturbance, she could not answer the question. NOURA refused to have any dialogue and repeated that we had until 11a, no exceptions and that if we went past 11a, she would add late charges on all of our bills. I hung up the phone in disbelief and rushed to contact everyone to let them know about our eviction. We all raced to pack our belongings and meet downstairs. When we got down, we tried to have another conversation with NOURA. SAM was at the receptionist desk again and we even asked her why she never mentioned anything such as a warning if we were that boisterous. She remained silent. We asked for time stamps of when we received visits/phone calls regarding any disturbances. NOURA literally answered, “the staff did not write that information down. I asked her what is the policy/procedure when receiving a noise complaint, NO ANSWER. HOW DO YOU AGGRESSIVELY EVICT GUESTS FOR NOISE DISTURBANCES WHEN YOU HAVE 0 WRITTEN OR VISUAL PROOF THAT WE WERE NOTIFIED OF ONE. NOURA could not answer any questions. She then said, “I would’ve kicked you all out last night but I knew you would have nowhere to go.” Excuse me? I paid over $1500 to stay at this racist God-awful establishment, don’t ever tell me what I can and cannot do for myself. When I asked to get the information to the owners of this hotel because I am sure they would want to know how NOURA is running the place, she said she was the owner. ??? So she went from being the general manager, to the owner? Interesting. My entire party was humiliated, robbed of an entire night’s stay, discriminated against all because we are Black women. So many issues we had, including the exceptionally rude security guard who yelled at us for holding the elevator until more ppl came, and not one of us made a complaint!!! One of my friends later told me that the same day as check-in, the rude security man went to their door to complain of noise and that if he had to come back, they would receive a written warning. My friend said they were just talking as well and wanted to speak to the manager because she felt at that point it was harassment, but didn’t want to cause issues. If my friend was threatened with a written warning, WHY DIDN’T ANY OF US RECEIVE ONE PRIOR TO OUR EVICTION???? Literally makes no sense. This experience has traumatized my entire group and completely ruined my birthday trip. If you care about human decency and want to be treated with respect, DO NOT STAY AT THIS ESTABLSIHMENT!! Please read all the reviews, they are not lying about the employees here. They will disregard you, humiliate you, rob you and violate you the first chance they get. ESPECIALLY if you are a person of color, DO NOT STAY HERE! Give your money business to a chain hotel and save you the trouble.…
