Hotel location was great. A little sad that some items were not available because of COVID-19. But the hygiene kit they provided were very functional! Staff looked exhausted but were friendly nonetheless. Would love to have room service 24/7 but apparently this was not available. The only upset to this stay!
The front desk staff was amazing. Upgraded and always treated right, no matter the time of day. However, the physical hotel was not up to Marriott standards. First, as soon as the sun came up, the room was bright due to horrible blinds. Second, thin walls, so I heard the big palooka, next door to me, snore all night. Lastly, their elevator is slooooowww. Like a 5 minute wait to go anywhere. Ocean Avenue was shut down, I think due to the flu and outdoor restaurants, so valet parking is a pain. Chalk this up to the Mayor of Miami, but it was no fun going through that process of parking in an alley behind the hotel for the valet. Overall, great people, great location, but the physical asset was no good. Also, rooms were dirty, like maybe sheets changed before me, I don't know.…
My stay was just okay although not what I expected. The hotel ran out of bottled water my first night there and i had to find a store to purchase my own. Big inconvenience. My fridge never got cold and my fruit etc spoiled. Rooms and bathrooms were very small. Was disappointed that there was no pool. Staff was friendly. I am a gold elite member and was told there was no upgrade. I also requested 2 pm check out the night before yet the front desk called me the morning of checking out to ask why i hadn't checked out yet. I would only stay here again if I absolutely had no other choice. I expected more being located on ocean drive.
This is not the hotel I booked originally. Due to some changes my reservation was moved to this awful facility. The hotel did not have any of the same amenities as the other hotel I booked. The check in process was smooth and staff were nice. The hotel elevator did not work causing people to use the stairs. I believe the stairs handrails were not cleaned frequently enough. The hotel had no room service which was fine. The hotel not having a pool was a huge blow. The balcony rooms we were told were not available to anyone. I went to sit on the roof multiple times as they were working on it and I saw people near the balcony rooms. I was very disgusted and disappointed to know that staff had possibly been occupying the rooms instead. The rooms were very cut dry, no microwave no new furniture. Furniture was slightly older but not refurbished older. This hotel is on my never return list as there were no amenities and nothing to rip and rave about. The bar was the best thing which has nothing to do with the hotel!…
Our room smelled like mold so much that my wife and I both woke up with a headache. The bed smelled like urine and was uncomfortable, the air conditioner was so loud that I turned it off in the middle of the night- I maybe slept 4 hours. The bathroom sink drain was clogged. Really one of the roughest nights in a while for both of us. We’ve stayed at autograph collection hotels before and have had positive experiences. Our stay in room 506 on oct 30th was the opposite of that.
