How lovely that they have created this garden while the hotel is being renovated. It is a charming ten minute respite accessed from the beach boardwalk. While few flowers the sculptures and foliage are quite lovely
Stumbled upon the Raleigh garden on an evening walk. It’s a serene and beautiful garden in South beach. An oasis from the crowds outside. Entrance is free. A lot of interesting sculptures (see pictures). I highly recommend.
If you have the opportunity to wander through this amazing sculpture garden (it takes less than 10 minutes), do so. It’s tranquil and relaxing and you won’t be disappointed. It’s open most days to 9 pm and said to be magical after dark.
Al Capone built the Raleigh in 1939. Sold it a year later and it has remained as one of the great Art Deco resorts in the US. Famous Hollywood move stars stayed their in the forties and the hotel rented rooms to WW11 veterans at discounts. The most beautiful swimming pool in the US. Life magazine featured the pool on their front cover.
Amazing ambiance! We spent most of our day at pool with good drinks listening to Dj play chill electric music. Their little hidden bar is such a cool place to drink and hangout. Service was great. Looking forward to come back.
I should have reviewed this place sooner. Apparently they are doing renovations, but my stay there was excellent. My only concern is if they change their outdoor dining. It was really romantic to have lighting, orchids food and drink. We enjoyed our stay there. Hopefully I can book a new vacation and check out the updates they are making. But it was very nice at the time I visited.
Great hotel, we recieved an personal letter from the staff when we checked in which was a very nice touch. The food was really expensive in the hotel, that is the reason for 4 stars. There are alot of places to eat on south beach so i would recommend going there!
We loved every minute and we love the Raleigh hotel!!! The suite we had was impeccable and so amazing that we had the out door shower and the bubble bath!!! We couldn’t have been happier and more pleased that we didn’t leave the hotel for days!!! Thank you!!!
Had a great stay at The Raleigh nice to stay in a authentic Art Deco hotel had a great suite, the pool and access to the beach was superb. Nice bar and great location for seeing South Beach. Will definitely revisit.
Booked 3 nights here last Spring and hated it so much we checked into another hotel. The rooms are extremely old and unkempt with disgusting concrete floors and furniture from the 70s. The only reason they are in business is because of the prime location on the beach. Paper thin walls and I was up all night from the sound of people in the next room doing drugs. I would rather eat glass than stay here again.
