This place is disgusting. There are many other places available in close proximity for not much more money (impala is sooooo much better). There may be other rooms that are not as bad, but mine was horrible. There were body fluid stains on the couch (which was also the bed). I ended up cancelling the AirBnb and going somewhere else. I knew I would end up not getting my money back (owners refused a full discount, only discounted one day, wanted me to pay cleaning fees even though I didn’t stay), but I still wouldn’t stay there.
This was a great place. It is newly renovated and with new owners. Make sure you book it on air BNB now. My wife loved the colours and artwork in the room. There was nice touches like books for every taste and a travel guide book. There is a TV with Roku that we could watch Netflix on as well. The room is small but you don't need any bigger. We loved having a microwave and a mini fridge in the room because we had lots of leftovers that we could heat up and eat. They even have dishes and dish soap so we didn't have to use our paper plates and bowls. We were given free parking down the road and instead of walking with all of the luggage, there is a loading zone so you can drop off all of your bags before parking down the road. We had everything we needed for beach days. They provided an umbrella, towels and a beach mat to keep the sand off of you. There was also a cooler so we can bring snacks and cold drinks to the beach. So nice to have all of that there for us to use. They are renovating the lobby with some great furniture, it was great to watch the changes. Hopefully we can come back when the changes are all done. I hear they are going to be making a bar and lounge!…
Their advertisement is misleading and untruth, the room is so small, it is ridiculous, liners were dirt, shower cracked up and dirty, air conditioner blowing on your face all night and if it was shut off nobody could sleep, we could not sleep well because the curtains did not block entirely the street light, towels and beach blanket weren't provided, covers weren't provided, I had to communicate with Sofia by message all the time because nothing was the way described by them. they say they have a kitchen where the guests can cook their own meal LOL!! for God's sake, you will find a micro oven and a tinny refrigerator, that is all. Unsafe place, the front door stays unlocked all night, (when I brought this to Sofia's attention she told me the last guests were there had broken the lock), they let people from outside roam in the lobby, (very suspicious people by the way), Very few people there speak English, the parking lot is 3 blocks away from there LOL, yes it is ridiculously funny because they display they don't have an elevator and if accommodation is needed, it can be requested, but they never mention about the parking lot until the day before you have to check-in. They don't answer the phone when there is an emergency, and she does not answer during the night. We rented a car and counting the milages it is clear the valet drove our car. I have the receipt to prove. They say you have access go the laundry mat but actually you don't have, I was doing laundry and suddenly some strange men came up to the gate telling me to open up, I said no because I was a guest and they have to go through the front desk, I did not know them. They told me I had to stop the laundry because they own that and I should know they own that. I said no, I didn't know about this. They said they were shutting down the machines and I should find another place to do laundry. Remember, I paid for the service. I talked to this Sofia she came up to where we were and without listened to my side of the story she told me we had to leave and called the police on me and my family. She called her boss and starting speaking in Spanish, too bad I speak Spanish as well and I could hear her telling the person on the phone things that weren't true. After that, I received messages from them saying I was harassing guests and workers and the police were on their way over there. Very dishonest people. I traveled so much to so many places I have never had the police called on me. They kicked my family out, my 73-year-old mother, my kids 10,11 years old, my husband, my sister and I. I overlooked many things since the beginning of our stay there. But I was so shocked and surprised they kicked their guests out, they did not listen to my side of the story, My neighbor was locked out of their room, they called this lady Sofia all night long she never picked up the phone, my husband and I tried to help them, unfortunately, we weren't able to, and everything we complained about she put the blame on the cleaners LOL!! it is so ridiculous. Worst people ever. DON'T waste your money on this place.…
It is my pleasure to write this. We booked two nights at this Hotel and beforhand we had received a Mail that the Hotel had been shifting owners so our room was changed from two double beds to one double bed and a sofa... We replied with a concern that the sofa would only take one person, but didnt get any answers. When we arrived there was a very nice and helpful lady named Sophia who told us that our reservation was actually cancelled. She said that we should have been informed about this by booking.com, so that we could rebook. She said that this wasnt a Hotel anymore but an AirBnB. What should we do now? She was so serviceminded that she gave us a room anyway and tomorrow she is going to help us get a new place to sleep because the AirBnB was fully booked. I really recommend this place to stay. It was clean, renovated and had microwave, fridge and a TV set. The double bed was also really good to sleep on. We have enjoyed this stay.…
The room was very small. The beds were on a wooden slab on the floor. The thermostat didn’t work. It was either the Sahara dessert or the North Pole, there was no such thing as in “between”. We had a cooler not a mini fridge in our room. We had to buy ice if we wanted anything to stay cold! The bathroom had mold, small ants were everywhere! We found bugs on the bedding. It was only for 2 night’s and I truly considered my car a better option, but the kids and I wouldn’t all fit. Sadly, all other hotels in the area were booked. I must say the evening front desk lady was a gem! She was as helpful as she could possibly be. She went out of her way to be sure the chair stair lift was ready for my moms wheelchair when leaving the hotel and returning. This was very much appreciated!…
