I was pleasantly surprised to walk into the Waldorf Hotel in Miami Beach. First of all, its right on Ocean Drive across from the ocean. What can get better than that? The staff was so hospitable and very nice. Eric Jimenez welcomed me with a smile and treated me like VIP. The hotel is upgraded and looks very chic. There is a busy restaurant on the porch of the hotel with hip lounge music. Drinks were tropical and tasty. We were able to walk out the door and be steps from the beach and steps to all the hotspots on south beach. Definitely recommend this hotel .
Great location. The hotel is just ok, room size is average and comfortable but unfortunately the cleaning is not done properly- I even had to ask them to sweep or vacuum the floor as it is not done. Had some malfunctioning things but hotel staff and manager attended to quickly. Breakfast is included using the Icon restaurant downstairs but after one day we went out looking for other options and paid for it as the restaurant offer was limited and not healthy- staff also not nice or efficient with the exception of Miguel.
We chose this hotel instead of another near by so glad we did. The location is perfect! We’ve been to South beach before but this location was spot on. Mangos next door beach right in front you get towels and free access to beach lounge chairs you pay $20 for the umbrella.A full 24hr minimarket downstairs. The restaurant out front has great service and food plus you get a little discount taken off the bill. We ubered to Wynwood went to BRICK and came back with ease. Book the place. Room is just a room the bathroom was good size. We never travel to a fun spot to relax. If your looking for a actual resort feel this isn’t it. This is drop your bags and have fun or go places like we also had to attend a wedding. Safe travels!
The location is super ! basically thats all wow about this place but when you are in south beach, the location is everything, isnt it ? other than that, decent room & decent service. the restaurant was actually pretty good with fan friendly servers.
Excellent location , nearby every attraction South Beach has to offer and close to the beach. Clean room and great smell at the lobby. Festive and friendly ambiance, Manager Eric and Leo made us feel at home!
Absolutely loved loved moved my stay here!!!! The customer service and hosoitality is amaxing!!! The location is great, directly on Ocean Drive across from the beach!!! The place smelled so amazing!!! I am hige on the way things smell and from the moment I walked in the lobby I was in love with the place!! I also love the vintage look! Any issues that I had, the hotel staff were very accommodating and addressed my questions/needs with a smile and rapidly!! I will definitely return!! I wish the rooms were a little bigger!! That is my only area of improvment. Everything else was amazing!!! Clean, great location, friendky staff, love this place!!!
I would like to give Franky the front desk a very good compliment. He was accommodating and so welcoming. The staff were very nice. Nice hotel. The drinks are awesome. The breakfast was awesome love the potatoes and my omelette.
This boutique hotel was a little gem in a fantastic location--right across the street from the beach (and a muscle beach, if that's something you're interested in :) It all started with the staff, especially Eric Jimenez, the Accommodations Manager. He was very helpful right from arrival. I was early, so he secured my bags so i could go explore. My room was ready not long after that. The room, on the first floor, was great--spacious with a VERY comfortable king size bed! I absolutely love that it is a LEED hotel and that you need to use a room key to turn on the lights, which of course keeps you from leaving your lights and TV on when you leave the room. The toiletries they provided were in eco-friendly packaging and the shower had good water pressure. The curtains were great at blocking out the light. Prior to getting there, i had read reviews where people were saying it was too loud at night (umm, note: it is right in the heart of South Miami Beach, where there's a lot of awesome night life). However, i didn't find it to be a problem--the room was built well-enough that the noises were pretty muffled and they weren't disturbing to me. All the employees I met over the few days I was there--from the front desk to the bartenders to the restaurant wait staff--were gracious and friendly. Dee, who worked one of the evenings, answered my questions about several things, including a really good coffee for the morning (Sunny's--was a great cup and a delicious breakfast). I'm sorry i don't have all the other names, but please know all of you helped make my stay even better. i was also grateful i was able to have a late checkout my last day. If i ever come that way again, i'd love to stay at the Room Mate Waldorf Towers! I do have two suggestions for the owners--would be a great idea to rip out the carpet on the first floor hallway--perhaps replace it with a tiled, easy to maintain floor and a little more lighting in that hallway would be helpful. Thank you for a great stay! (heart emoji!)…
We are in our 60s, way too old for this environment. Partying, super loud music on the weekends and way too many young adults. The hotel room was very small, no dresser no bathroom counter, no view, no pool and no bar area to hangout in. Just a place to sleep.
The hotel is right in the middle of all the action, directly across from the beach. Rooms are good size, hotel has obviously been renovated, bathrooms are very nice, huge shower. great amenities and specials, such as breakfast and bar discounts if you are a guest. Juan was particularly helpful, very nice and hospitable. I would definitely recommend to family and friends. A small resort fee $15.00 per day but it covers free beach towels and free beach chairs. Saves you money considering the chairs are $20 per person. Had a fantastic time. Not at all noisy considering the location, surprisingly quiet.
