There were transient people laying on the front area as you walk in. The room smelled of mold. The staff was subpar professional. The room was disgusting…there was someone else’s hair all over the place. The shower had black stuff around the base. The shower never ran hot for a full quick shower. WiFi never worked. We changed our towels every two days but every single morning we had to wait for fresh ones because they were always being washed or dried. I would NOT recommend at all. I don’t know how they got 4 stars. These other reviews have to be employees or family…because there’s no way anyone likes this place.
Horrible experience, staff really rude, does not look like pictures, kids are not welcome, not clean at all, they don’t really care about customers, the cost benefit it’s not worth it, go away! When I arrived at the hotel I was shocked with the reception, tinny, dark, like, why did I book this place. I ending up losing my money since I arrived 3:51am.
Metropole suite Really great company- super organized, friendly and reliable. We booked through their website, and they were very quick to respond personally to a couple of enquirers I had after booking. It was my 22years anniversary with my beautiful wife and I wanted to surprise her with a romantic surprise and the front desk agent Ritha out done it with the decorations 🙌 Santiago, Adaritza made my wife happy she couldn’t stop talking about how great they are😂
Realy enjoyed our stay here. We came to stay 6 nights and ended up staying 15. Great little one bedroom suite. The room was clean upon arrival. They let us check out the room first and when we asked to not be next to the stairs they found us a room that wasn’t. The hotel manager Santiago was beyond accommodating and friendly. All hotel staff Ada (assistant manager incase this is spelt wrong!), Gene, Ruth were friendly and gave excellent recommendations. They took care of any needs we had. We came with our four month old and it was still suitable. You are in the heart of south beach so have to know you’re coming into some party life however we never had any noise issues during our stay. There was never a point we felt unsafe either. This was a great trip and we will 100% book here when we come back to Miami. Thank you again so much to the staff !More…
This hotel is nothing like the pictures or reviews reflect. It’s sleazy, dirty, on the wrong edge of town and the front looks abandoned. The 2 bedroom suite is spacious but smells of mold and damp everywhere. The floors weren’t swept, the closet had cobwebs, they might sanitize with wipes but the suite isn’t actually clean! Reception was odd and creepy, the place feels more like a hostel. The suites are renovated and the shower was good with enough shampoo and soap. No breakfast or drinks on premises, it’s at the edge of South beach so if you’re without a car I really don’t recommend staying here.
Check-in was quick and easy. All staff were professional and courteous throughout my 4-night stay. My one bedroom suite was so huge! The bathroom wasn't too big, but having a giant walk-in closet, full kitchen, with. The dining area and loving room made up for it. They provided towels and toiletries for the bathroom. Litchne included a full fridge basics: dish soap, new sponge, dishes, pots, pans, and silverware. A suggestion to make my next stay better would be a broom/dustpan, a hand towel for drying dishes off. With covid, they aren't doing housekeeping ( I love that my space was untouched during my stay), but they will give you clean towels when you ask for an exchange, and they have beach towels to borrow for the day too! One block from Lummins Park and Collins Ave where you can get anything to eat you can imagine along with workout, rent beach chairs, and bicycles. Great location! Ans they had a free happy hour at their sister hotel one block away. The building is an old stucco in the Art Deco Hisptorcal district. Being older, the elevator is old- so smaller than you may expect, but it works! Miami is a tropical location, so it is humid, but the AC worked just fine. The outdoor courtyard is so peaceful. A great place to relax, read, and drink your coffee. Some extras are room darkening shades and a safe. I am surprised by some of the negative reviews. The front desk accepted people's door dash deliveries and my Instacart delivery for me with a big smile and no complaints. They acknowledged me every time I exited and entered the building. Hallways, sairwells were clean. The courtyard was cleaned every morning, and the little splash pool was clean and refreshing. My next time in Miami, I look forward to staying here again. Metropole is in the process of redoing the main floor restaurant/bar, so I am looking forward to having breakfast there next time. It is South Beach. Late nights, noise, smoking, and drinking are part of the outdoor nightlife, but the hotel was nice and quiet inside.…
I arrived to this hotel late night to check in and was excited to check it out. I walked into the “lobby” and asked for a room key and was greeted by a woman who was not friendly at all. Then I went to the elevator and was totally creeped out, it was tiny and old and there was a dryer sheet blocking off the rest of the hallway. I got off the elevator and walked down the dark scary hallway that gave me the heebie jeebies. I was feeling unsafe to be alone and I found my room in a corner by an exit door to the outside that kept opening and closing. I walked into my room and it smelled like cigarettes and the floor was sticky. It was so musty and I quickly realized my friends and I would not be staying there. I went to the front desk to let them know, they said they could move our room, but the hotel itself made me feel so unsafe that I simply couldn’t sleep peacefully let alone crawl into the dirty bed. They would not give me a refund and were super unprofessional all around. The cherry on top were the people smoking and doing drugs outside of the hotel while I waited for my Uber to a new hotel. 10/10 do not recommend this hotel.…
We absolutely positively LOVED our suite. We had the pleasure of meeting Santiago the Hotel Manager who UPGRADED our reservation from 1-bedroom to 2-bedroom due to our party size of 5. We were so tired after our Royal Caribbean cruise and asked for an EARLY CHECK-IN which he also granted us FREE OF CHARGE which normally cost an EXTRA $20/hour. Yes! Yes! And Yes! This place is AMAZING for lots of reasons location is less than ONE BLOCK from the beach. We walked to everything shopping and dining. Thank Santiago and staff for making the last stop on our annual Girls Trip truly AMAZING. I would give the 10 SRARS, however, I think I’m only allowed to give a 5-Star review.
I came down to South Beach for Halloween/Friend’s birthday. I’ve stayed at the Metropole before so I knew what to expect but this go round was different. We originally booked a one bedroom suite because that’s all that was available on the site. We arrived earlier than the check in time but not only did the manager wave the early check in fee, he upgraded us to a Two Bedroom suite!!! So we had our own space. The hotel is right in the middle of everything so it’s prime location for SoBe. Thanks again Santiago (the manager)! I’m gonna need another two bedroom suite in February for my birthday pal lol!
The rooms are spectacular and very clean!! It has all the home amenities of a home. The staff there goes above and beyond to make sure the guests are more then satisfied . It’s a hidden gem and best part of it all it’s smack down in the heart of south beach everything is accessible
