I am familiar with the 1 Hotel brand in NYC. The hotels are fabulous there, and 1 Hotel on Miami Beach did not disappoint. It is an incredibly chic place. We had a king studio with a balcony facing the ocean. The room was very spacious with great ambient lighting. The bathroom is particularly appropriate for couples; the shower is "see through." Also, the hotel's commitment to sustainability is evident. For instance, they don't supply random personal bottles of shampoo or soap. They also provide "filtered water" through a faucet rather than provide bottled water. You also order room service through their app rather than a paper menu (I loved this - very efficient!). There are several restaurants and four pools on the complex. The gym is also massive! I can imagine these spaces get very crowded, but we did not experience that when we stayed Sunday through Tuesday. My only criticism is that check-in is a little chaotic and the room service/housekeeping missed a few details. I lost my room key and requested a new one. They delivered a new one but it did not work! Housekeeping also did not provide the form to request laundry service. None of these issues detracted from a wonderful stay.

From the time we were welcomed, we felt this was going to be an amazing trip! This was our first stay with 1 Hotel Miami and will not be the last.

When we arrived at the property, Fonzie our bellman greeted us and made us feel at home. While being checked into the room the team used UV hand wands to disinfect our luggage upon entering the property. The security cameras checked everyone entering the building's temperature to create a safer environment.

The room was beautiful, clean, and spacious! The minibar and goodies have anything you may need! They also stocked my favorite wine "J Vinardys"...

One of the pools was under renovation(can't complain about that), but the Roof Top pool was open and ready to go! Considering the hotel had only been open for 2 days prior they did a great job!
Domonick H. and was one of the most attentive and helpful servers you could ask for.
Lunch by the pool was great and fresh.
We had a fabulous breakfast at Habitat and expressos in the room where a nice start to the day.

1 Hotel has a courtesy Tesla Model X that will shuttle you around within 3 miles of the property. Alexenjro was an amazing guide around town and so friendly.

Thankfully we had to stay another night due to the tropical storm canceling our flights, and the Hotel was very accommodating.

I highly recommend the 1 hotel property and brand. I can not say anything negative about our stay! Thank you to the hotel and staff for making this a memoriable trip!

We just came back from a one week stay over NYE with my family. We reserved two rooms - one for us and another for our young children and sitter. Given this was a special family trip (not to mention very $$$$) I wanted to make sure all details were in order so I had emailed with concierge weeks in advance. Upon check in our rooms were on completely different floors despite me asking for adjoining rooms and ultimately had to wait hours before getting our room. Over the course of the week we were just underwhelmed by the service, quality of the rooms and overall experience. For example, service: 1) they ran out of water bottles at the check in desk (they were “ordering more” but hadn’t arrived yet). It’s not like I was asking for a warm towel greeting or a welcome drink, just a small bottle of water. 2) we had to call 2 times to have trays of food removed from the room and it was finally taken out the next day. 3) be careful when ordering anything at the beach, it will take no leas than 40 mins to get food or drinks. It’s painful. Re: Quality of the rooms: while they’ve done a really nice job with the renovation from the Gansevoort, the quality of the finishes is not reflective of a $1000+ per night hotel during peak season. There was always a smell of wet dog coming from parts of the room, the balcony and the outdoor furniture had stains all over it, there’s virtually no drawers which makes unpacking not ideal. Re: overall experience. The elevator situation is atrocious - I felt I was constantly waiting for the elevator during my stay. The wooden key cards that operate the elevators also need a MAJOR revamping - they’re ineffective and add to the delay. Finally, I just found the whole process of going to the beach not pleasant. It’s too far away, there’s no bathrooms unless you climb 3 flights of stairs and walk 100 feet which with 2 young children is a painful process. Finally, I felt nickel and dimed for everything. No complimentary CCOF fee in the morning, no complimentary water at turndown, etc. I was looking forward to an amazing week and while we will always go back to Miami we will likely choose the W or Edition for our next stay.

So first the positives, very good location, overall property is well maintained, staff was very friendly and courteous. Final positive is shower water pressure, if you like strong pressure you’ll be pleased. Now the not so positive, for 5 Star property you’d expect much better finishes, food and overall quality. We rented a King Balcony Suite. We’re put on a 2nd floor room next to elevator and spa, an average of 1.200.00 per night and insufficient value. Balcony was not clean and not usable. The food at the property is good, but it’s only average nothing stands out. The elevators are a real issue. They’re aren’t enough elevators and they are very small. You may wait 2 or 3 times until you can find room. We used the spa and that was a very pleasant experience. They offer an instant chat service via messenger. If you’re message is a positive one or an order the response is immediate. If it’s a request for service or an issue there is a lengthy delay. One caveat for Florida residents. If you’re a state resident you receive discounts on parking and resort fees. Our initial booking didn’t reflect the discount so we called in advance and were told “no worries, show your ID at check in and we apply discount”. We asked again at check in and were told same. However it appeared on our bill, I called front desk and was told we didn’t qualify as we didn’t “check a box” on booking. We asked to speak with a manager and were told we’d be contacted and never were. 5 star properties simply don’t treat their users in such a fashion. While there’s some appeal to the property it’s a marginal 4 star property

I rarely give reviews unless something bad happens, and my stay at this hotel was epically bad. On my two previous visits I would have given them high marks, but this last visit was terrible. It started on the day of our arrival. I requested a room upgrade and because we had already checked in, I asked if a Bellman could move our belongings. They agreed. They then later called us and said we needed to be there when the Bellman entered, because apparently the rooms have a taped seal on the door indicating they have been cleaned and sanitized, and they didn't want us to enter the room after the seal was broken. I assumed this means they are proud of this process. So we get to the room and break the "seal". The room wasn't cleaned! There were a pair of dirty glasses on the kitchen towel and a used hand towel. When we got to the bedroom, it wasn't even made, and clearly had been slept in, and there were even slippers on the floor. This is their process post COVID? I have zero confidence in it if you are going to seal off a room as "sanitized" with special tape and it looks like you haven't even cleaned the room. The manager on duty was really nice and apologetic for what its worth. I can't say that I was.

Other mishaps over the weekend. Hot water was really problematic the first two days, we requested maid service multiple times and they would never show up. It wasn't until I walked to the front desk and made the request in person that they did it. They were out of Bloody Mary Mix on Saturday morning, which was inconvenient and weird considering it wasn't as packed as normal. On my last day I ordered a omlette via room service. On the plate where my wheat toast was there was a plastic cup with what I thought I was whipped butter. I dipped my toast in it and put in my mouth. It was mayonnaise!!! It was just that kind of weekend, almost everything was "off". Almost nothing was right. Disappointing because my two previous stays here were really good.

Substance & Style...thanks Noelia & Miles

Besides being one of the premier properties to stay at in Miami, the amenities and venues are unparalleled. For the best breakfast in South Beach, visit Habitat at the 1 Hotel. There is no other restaurant in Miami that offers such a consistent and delicious experience for the first (and most important) meal of the day.

After being greeted by smiles and a cheerful attitude by the hostess, it only get better with our waitress Noelia who was extremely attentive to our neeeds and went out of her way to make sure breakfast was just perfect. She didn't skip a beat - it was as though she was a mindreader. Utensils and place settings were always refreshed, never had to look for her to ask for something, and she knew the menu intimately. Ultimately, she recommended the breakfast buffet which was not only a relative bargain but the most satisfying option - nothing on the buffet line felt as though it was anything but just freshly made especially for me. Nothing tasted "dry" or as though it was sitting under heat lamps like at other buffets. The ingredients tasted absolutely fresh and perfectly prepared.

The icing on top was the terrific manager, Miles! He stopped by a few times to make sure everything was flawless and ensure our stay at the 1 Hotel was unrivaled. He was so incredibly professional but friendly as well. Miles and Noelia certainly complemented each other well as a great team to make sure that I'll be back to the Habitat every morning to start my day off just right.

My wife and I spent four days at the 1 Hotel South Beach (10/11 - 10/15). Beautiful property, with great, attentive staff. Everyone, including guests, was Covid-careful, with masks in all public areas other than in or directly around pools, on the beach, or at a table dining. The location is ideal (30 minutes from the airport) and a short ride to Ocean Drive. The hotel has complementary bicycles (with a path right behind the property) and complimentary shuttle rides (in a Tesla) to locations within a few miles of the hotel. The beds and pillows were the best we've ever had, and the blackout shades allowed for a great night's sleep. The front desk, room service, pool and beach staff were very accommodating and helpful. Several excellent restaurants to choose in the hotel, but the food at the pools and the beach was outstanding. Can't wait to return!

Too many customer service reacted issues. Check in time is 4 pm. We requested early check in. Forget early check in they didn’t have our room ready till 8 pm. There were 12 of us in our group. We booked 6 rooms. Almost every staff member had a horrible attitude problem and extremely unhelpful. We had to request housekeeping 5-6 times before someone would come to clean our room close to 5 or 6 pm. We were 12 of us in our group and we all experienced the same customer service issues. The worst part was upstairs at the rooftop restaurant where we were treated in an extremely rude and hostile manner by the general manager there. I forget his name. White guy thin blue eyes. We were 7 of us sitting at a table because one of the severs said it was fine. He told us that we had to split up since more than 6 couldn’t be at one table. We told him his own staff member had said it was ok but that we were willing to move. We had placed our drink and appetizer order and the server was serving us and he told the server that he did not want us to be served! He told her to remove our drinks and food. Such rude demeaning and racist behavior towards us. We stood our ground and insisted on speaking to
His boss Leo. Who was a little bit more reasonable but still it did not make up for the way we were made to feel when he told the server to remove our freshly ordered food and drinks and not serve us. I have the recording or the extremely insulting exchange. Between the 12 is we had booked 6 rooms for 4-5 nights spending 30-40k at the 1 hotel only to be treated in the most horrible manner. I also want to mention that right behind us there was a table with 7 people seated at the same table and when we asked Asma the manager why we were being refused service while the table right behind us had 7 people at it and that seemed ok. She seemed
Kind of flustered and said oh they are probably sharing one room. Really? 7 adult men sharing one room? When the hotel does not allow more than 2 adults and 2 kids in one room. So much bs and lies. They looked like ball players or rappers and that’s why the hotel management decided not to bother them. Such blatant discrimination. We have stayed at the 1 hotel 3 times previously but this is the last and final time and we will all be discouraging every person we know to save themselves from stress and frustration and insults and never stay at the 1 hotel ever.

This is a really quirky place. We were about 30th in line to check in. That took about 30 minutes. They would not allow us to take our own luggage to the room. That took another 1.5 hours. There are rules for everything. You cant get to the pool for seats until 7am sharp when the doors click open and everyone rushes like a horse race. The pool and beach service is kind of attentive but everyone is looking for a tip even though you pay a daily service charge. The pool and beach seating is jam packed elbow to elbow. Do not expect to have a private conservation. Everyone is friendly for sure but the lobby and beach and pool are seriously packed. The room was comfortable enough and the bed was super soft and the ocean "views" are about a half block from the ocean. It is a really big property that shares half the building with the Ronni Condominium and those owners are also in the restaurants and on the beach. Overall I would not go back. There are nicer properties on Miami Beach.

Usually our expansive outdoor space of 4 pool decks and 700 ft of hotel beach is spacious enough that guests do not feel too crowded. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a seamless stay in the future.

I stayed here on a recent business trip and would definitely recommend.

The rooms are large and comfortable, the food (esp the breakfasts) is great, there are three pools to choose from including a spectacular rooftop pool with great views of the ocean. This becomes very much part of the Miami scene at dusk with lots of beautiful people hanging out.

The hotel has great attention to detail - eg it seems their commitment to the environment is genuine and there were lots of eco touches and the place smelt great too. Service is very good too.

Location wise the hotel has a plum spot on South Beach next to a wide and good beach.

All in all a great base for business or pleasure.
