    Hard to not like this place
    I am familiar with the 1 Hotel brand in NYC. The hotels are fabulous there, and 1 Hotel on Miami Beach did not disappoint. It is an incredibly chic place. We had a king studio with a balcony facing the ocean. The room was very spacious with great ambient lighting. The bathroom is particularly appropriate for couples; the shower is "see through." Also, the hotel's commitment to sustainability is evident. For instance, they don't supply random personal bottles of shampoo or soap. They also provide "filtered water" through a faucet rather than provide bottled water. You also order room service through their app rather than a paper menu (I loved this - very efficient!). There are several restaurants and four pools on the complex. The gym is also massive! I can imagine these spaces get very crowded, but we did not experience that when we stayed Sunday through Tuesday. My only criticism is that check-in is a little chaotic and the room service/housekeeping missed a few details. I lost my room key and requested a new one. They delivered a new one but it did not work! Housekeeping also did not provide the form to request laundry service. None of these issues detracted from a wonderful stay.

    Trip of a lifetime!
    From the time we were welcomed, we felt this was going to be an amazing trip! This was our first stay with 1 Hotel Miami and will not be the last. When we arrived at the property, Fonzie our bellman greeted us and made us feel at home. While being checked into the room the team used UV hand wands to disinfect our luggage upon entering the property. The security cameras checked everyone entering the building's temperature to create a safer environment. The room was beautiful, clean, and spacious! The minibar and goodies have anything you may need! They also stocked my favorite wine "J Vinardys"... One of the pools was under renovation(can't complain about that), but the Roof Top pool was open and ready to go! Considering the hotel had only been open for 2 days prior they did a great job! Domonick H. and was one of the most attentive and helpful servers you could ask for. Lunch by the pool was great and fresh. We had a fabulous breakfast at Habitat and expressos in the room where a nice start to the day. 1 Hotel has a courtesy Tesla Model X that will shuttle you around within 3 miles of the property. Alexenjro was an amazing guide around town and so friendly. Thankfully we had to stay another night due to the tropical storm canceling our flights, and the Hotel was very accommodating. I highly recommend the 1 hotel property and brand. I can not say anything negative about our stay! Thank you to the hotel and staff for making this a memoriable trip!

    Fell short of expectations
    We just came back from a one week stay over NYE with my family. We reserved two rooms - one for us and another for our young children and sitter. Given this was a special family trip (not to mention very $$$$) I wanted to make sure all details were in order so I had emailed with concierge weeks in advance. Upon check in our rooms were on completely different floors despite me asking for adjoining rooms and ultimately had to wait hours before getting our room. Over the course of the week we were just underwhelmed by the service, quality of the rooms and overall experience. For example, service: 1) they ran out of water bottles at the check in desk (they were “ordering more” but hadn’t arrived yet). It’s not like I was asking for a warm towel greeting or a welcome drink, just a small bottle of water. 2) we had to call 2 times to have trays of food removed from the room and it was finally taken out the next day. 3) be careful when ordering anything at the beach, it will take no leas than 40 mins to get food or drinks. It’s painful. Re: Quality of the rooms: while they’ve done a really nice job with the renovation from the Gansevoort, the quality of the finishes is not reflective of a $1000+ per night hotel during peak season. There was always a smell of wet dog coming from parts of the room, the balcony and the outdoor furniture had stains all over it, there’s virtually no drawers which makes unpacking not ideal. Re: overall experience. The elevator situation is atrocious - I felt I was constantly waiting for the elevator during my stay. The wooden key cards that operate the elevators also need a MAJOR revamping - they’re ineffective and add to the delay. Finally, I just found the whole process of going to the beach not pleasant. It’s too far away, there’s no bathrooms unless you climb 3 flights of stairs and walk 100 feet which with 2 young children is a painful process. Finally, I felt nickel and dimed for everything. No complimentary CCOF fee in the morning, no complimentary water at turndown, etc. I was looking forward to an amazing week and while we will always go back to Miami we will likely choose the W or Edition for our next stay.

Our first time staying at 1 Hotel, and I definitely wanted to try this particular property due to seeing pictures of their center pool. We stayed for 2 nights, the property does not look like much from the outside, but once you enter inside, it has a similar interior design and scent to the Edition Hotel on South Beach. We got upgraded to a room with a balcony facing the city, both the room and balcony are spacious and overall have a unique design, unlike other traditional hotels. The bed is situated on a platform with strip lights underneath, creating an illusion of a floating bed, while aesthetically it is pleasing, it does present itself as a potential hazard. The position of the shower head seems to be fixed, as well as not having the option to adjust the pressure, hence, it was not the most comfortable and convenient for me personally. Also, the handle of the shower door is the one with sharp edges, combined with the non-adjustable shower head, as well as the placement of the shower amenities, I banged myself on the head and arm a few times. Breakfast was nice, got a nice selection of food, my personal favorite was the build-your-own avocado toast station. The gym looks to be a full commercial gym, which is impressive, however, the Smith machines' placement is not great, they are tucked into a corner where access to them could be blocked due to classes, which was exactly what happened when me and my husband were there, and there was nothing that can be done about it besides waiting around for the class to finish. We also noticed there was surprisingly no adjustable bench for ab exercise. The best feature of this property is definitely the center pool on the 3rd floor. They have another rooftop pool which was under construction during our stay so we did not get to visit. This hotel does have more loungers compared to other hotels we've stayed at, which is good when it comes to busier times. It was also just a short walk away from the beach, which has nice beach chairs and umbrellas reserved for guests. The only downside to this is the 2 doors leading out to the pool area, the inside door opens away from you, but the outside door opens toward you for some odd reason, so if you were standing a bit close or you weren't expecting it, you could be caught by surprise or worse, get hurt. The highlight of our stay was the spa. My husband and I both booked a spa session and the therapist that I got assigned to, Maura, was simply wonderful. Her energy was calming, she was gentle, considerate, and very friendly. I added a facemask on top of my massage and she was very nice in terms of explaining the background of this mask brand afterward and also giving the mask to me for a second or even third use. The only thing we were a bit disappointed by, was during checkout. We were told initially during check-in that, check out time is usually at 11 am, which we think is a bit early by industry standards, we were given 12 noon at the end. On the day of checkout, we asked whether we are able to get an extra 10 - 15 mins so I could finish getting ready, their answer was a strict no, and said we would be charged extra if we went over. We managed to get downstairs without me getting ready, and was given a shower room by the gym for again a strict 30-minute use after checkout. When we were at the pool, we observed that the hotel was not full, and we spoke to a staff member who advised that the hotel was at 38% capacity. We understand that the hotel will require guests to adhere to their checkout time when they are at capacity, however, they were not. In addition, when we checked out, I asked again about their capacity, he mentioned they were not too busy and were at around 40% ish capacity but in reality, they were at 85%, which did not make any sense to me. Overall a very nice property and we had a pleasant stay, however, we would not quite rate this place 5 stars.

Overall the 1 Hotel was a great resort. The property was beautiful and the service was top notch, especially the concierge (Amelia) and doormen. The concierge went above and beyond in helping us book a boat for a day and make us aware of different amenities the resort offered. My only compliant would be the fact that the rooftop pool was under renovation and was supposed to be completed, but was delayed until after our stay. Obviously that was a big disappointment, but can't complain about much else during our stay. I would definitely go back.

After a long flight we arrived at the hotel. We were not greeted with a friendly welcome and after giving the necessary information at the desk we were told that we would need to pay $1,200. We explained that we had already paid but we were dismissed and she went on to the next person without even checking the system. Luckily we had printed off the information before we left so we showed her the copy. She barely apologised and gave us the keys to our room. The room was very basic and within 10 minutes the air conditioning started leaking water on the floor and we were worried it could be linked to legionella. We had to go to reception and after a fuss they agreed to move us. The rooms were very basic and tired. Poor customer service all round. This is the first time doing a review but we need to warn others.

Had a group of 7 in town for a weekend trip and were looking for the perfect spot for a Friday night dinner. Deciding on WATR was the right call. The food was amazing and Bobby our server was so great!! You have to get the Waygu toast it was melt in your mouth impeccable. Again Bobby our server was five star service we loved him!

From the moment my daughters and I arrived Alexander and the concierge made us feel like we were right at home. Alex went above and beyond and was so helpful the entire stay. He's a true gem. The concierge were so playful and kind to my daughters giving them ice cream coins and great tips for things to do with children while in south beach. The hotel is stunning as always and we cannot wait to book our next stay.
