Lovely hotel with incredible beach views. The drinks were delicious and the service was top notch - don’t miss out on the best hotel with the best location. Makes the Cadillac look like a holiday inn . What a trip!!!!
Hotel needs updating in the lobby / elevator / common areas. Room was run down and an odd layout with ADA shower (not needed). Room service never answered my call to order something. Business center was excellent for meetings and the A/V staff was excellent to help us set up the Owl and tech.
Checking in - staff nice long wait Room - requested a low floor hotel was booked and unable to accommodate. Pool - family pool heater was down. Adult pool became the family pool Management - behind close doors, different managers cover the lobby, food & beverage and pool. So the lobby manager had to pass on complaints to the pool manager. As a results, it took hours for concerns to be addressed. Witness guess changing in the lobby while there was changing areas. Our concerns were not taken with any level of attention. Bar - Steve was great Beach - those employees work very hard, we’re very polite and pros! Give them all a raise. Pool - young man is in over his head.
The hotel is “tired.” For the nightly rate I was expecting something more. We paid for a balcony “city view” and our view is above the hotel dumpsters. Hardly a view. Similarly, everything just looks and feels so incredibly dated. I would not recommend this hotel nor would I stay here again. The staff, however, is incredibly pleasant. That’s why I didn’t give the hotel one star.
We were looking to spend a stress-free and relaxing quick get-away to celebrate our 18th year Wedding Anniversary and The Confidante checked all the boxes. Zac, the Director of Operations and Diego, the Front Desk Supervisor, ensured that we maximize our 3-day stay by arranging airport transfers and getting our room ready for early check-in. We quickly felt like VIP when the car pulled in the airport to pick us up. The driver was prompt and polite. The front desk staff, especially Genesis, made us feel right at home. Our Oceanfront Balcony Suite Deluxe was a perfect oasis! The view from the balcony was just mesmerizing. And a surprise, sweet treat to welcome us back to the resort was a nice touch! The front row daybed at the beach completed the package for us. Markel, the Beach Services Supervisor, prepared our daybed with ample towels and always made sure that we were comfortable. We are glad that we chose The Confidante for our quick retreat from reality! The location, the proximity of the hotel to great restaurants and stores and the personalized and 5-star service is beyond compare. …
He was so accommodating and lovely! Took care of all of my vegetarian needs and caught me when I ordered a latte and asked if I wanted oat milk bc my mind was somewhere else! That’s amazing customer service!
I visited this hotel several months ago, stayed for a week. My biggest issue then was with the chaos of trying to get housekeeping. I am currently staying in the hotel on a second trip, that has totally changed. They are on their housekeeping game. When I arrived I realized that my sofa was not a sofa bed. At reception Genesis and Diego listened to my concerns and arranged for me to move to a better suite the next day. I’ve visited reception a few times since and Genesis remembered me by name and has gone above and beyond each and every time. The service this trip has really made this experience special and I appreciate their help!
We stayed in a standard room which was very spacious but dreary. I would have liked to see 5he othe4 rooms as I suspect they were better looking. Hotel right on the beach and the beach attendants were very efficient. Food and drink in the hotel were good but expensive. However, there is a choice of restaurants in a short walking distance and supermarkets close by.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Confidante in Miami. We made our booking through Chase Luxury hotel portal and our package included a “partial” ocean view, breakfast daily, $50 resort credit and complimentary upgrade / late check out on arrival. Unfortunately, the hotel was reportedly close to capacity so we did not receive the upgrade. I had hoped the hotel would offer something else in exchange, such as a complimentary drink, but we were just told to keep checking in daily. The breakfast buffet was great! Large variety of foods. I don’t think it’s worth $35, so if you don’t have breakfast included in your stay I would instead recommend to just order off of the Ambersweet breakfast menu, which looked quite nice. The pool and beach were lovely. We had beautiful weather and really enjoyed the tropical cocktails. The pool food and drink were pricey but pretty much what you expect for a resort. A quick note on “reserved” pool / beach seating … our stay included a $45 daily resort fee, so you can imagine our surprise when we arrived at the pool and beach to find many of the chairs sitting empty with “reserved” signage. I can understand paying extra for beach bed and pool cabanas… but for basic loungers? In one instance, we stat down in empty, unmarked loungers at the beach at 11am and 20 minutes later we were curtly told there was an event and we would have to move. The beach attendant was not very friendly and did not offer to help us move our beach gear. By the time we left the beach at 3pm there was still no event or anyone in the beach loungers we had been asked to love from. In another example, the pool was quite crowded and because of the building shadow after 1pm there were not many chairs in the sun. I saw one woman briefly sit in a “reserved” lounger and was quickly asked by the pool attendant to move. Again, no one ever showed up to sit in that reserved seat for the rest of the day. It’s strange that the confidante would prefer their resort fee paying guests to sit on the ground rather than a “reserved” but not actually in use lounge chair. The pool attendants seemed to spend more time chasing people out of chairs than making sure children were in the family rather than the adult only pool, or wearing swim diapers… ps it’s pretty unsanitary to let babies in pools without them! Again - we did enjoy our stay, the location is great and the pool / beach are really pretty. The whole resort has a fun Miami vibe and the restaurant/ bar staff are very kind and friendly. I think the resort just has to reevaluate its relationship with “reserved” pool seating!…
Amy and her team provide incredible service at this hotel. We came to visit New Years Eve for their Studio 54 event - it was fantastic. The location is great - in Miami Beach but away from the crazy part! Many of their rooms have stunning ocean views and lovely amenities. I would definitely recommend anyone to go stay there - the food, drinks and service are second to none. Thank you!
