We stayed at the Churchill Suites Monte Carlo in Miami Beach several times, but there seems to be a new management team. We have never felt more unwelcome, unwanted, and confused while trying to make a reservation. We were asked the same questions by different customer relations employees over and over again. We received very different and contradicting information about key subjects, like payment, credit card information, and policies from different employees. Before our stay, we were charged additional fees on our credit card that nobody told us we would be charged with, and when asked about it, nobody answered. We have never been treated like this in any other hotel, apartment, or resort anywhere in the world. However, the apartments are truly beautiful and very well equipped, the views are breathtaking, and the two pools are great for swimmers and families traveling with children. The location is great too, right on the beach, close to a lot of nice restaurants, bars, stores, and supermarkets. The employees on site are distant but very nice. Complimentary chairs and umbrellas are offered on the beach, but only two chairs per apartment, which is very little. Compared to our other stays, the beach chairs are very basic. In the past, very pretty, comfortable, and more high-end lounge stairs and sofas were offered. To sum it all up, the apartments are very beautiful and the location is great, but communication is very chaotic. To make it worse, we traveled in low season and there were very few guests staying at the apartments at the time, so I really don't understand why the people at customer relations tried so hard to send us elsewhere. We would consider staying there again but would definitely research other options beforehand.

We used hotels.com to reserve an upcoming stay here for the summer. As we have multiple times, we utilized the site's "pay at property" feature. This has never been an issue. Within hours, Churchill Monte Carlo had taken over $600+ from our bank account!! I have never had a property to not honor this agreement. Getting in contact with anyone via phone proved to be a waste of time. Hotels.com cancelled the reservation. This left us with a very uneasy, shady (scammish) feeling. My bank and hotels.com are working to get our money back.

Stay away from this place. Scammers, the people who work there are incompetent. They will take your reservation and cancel it and then keep your money. Beware of this place!! So many other places that are trustworthy and honest

I stayed here for 5 nights with a 2.5 year old so focusing on the toddler pros/cons... Pros: -Two pools which were pretty empty and lots of seating areas in the shade -ON the beach made access super easy when carrying lots of stuff for family. Complimentary 2 beach chairs + umbrella was key. Often quiet so we asked for a 3rd chair which they gave us. -Crib available upon request (paid $50/night to rent). We were able to maneuver and fit the crib into the bedroom closet area (with closet doors left open) so that child slept in the room with us. -Porch/outside door very "heavy" to pull so knew toddler wouldn't be able to get out on their own -Kitchen is very well equipped! -Laundry machines in room. -Doors all connect from bathroom/bedroom/main room but it's impossible to lock all of them at the same time so child cannot accidentally lock themself in room. Cons: -NO HOUSEKEEPING... Taking a messy toddler on the beach and paying this much for a hotel was surprising to not have housekeeping. But, okay. The part that got to me was no beach/pool towel replacement - we had to wash our own towels in the laundry machine. -Decor not very kid-friendly. Lots of glass tables and TV/remotes accessible at low levels. -Bathtub difficult to bathe child in -- it was half open/half glass so we couldn't reach her easily and had to get into the tub with her for showers. Bathtub floor also slippery so toddler slipped once. -Bathroom sink vanity very small so not a lot of space for all toiletries for family -One of the neighbors was smoking something and we could smell through the bathroom vents -No self-parking, mandated valet parking ($20/night) Tips: -Ask if late check-out is available; there may be a fee. They allowed us to check out 1 hour later (12pm) for no additional fee, which was great for extra time in the morning! -Ask front desk for extra laundry detergent -Attach your key fob and hotel bracelet so that you don't lose them (and don't have to wear the bracelet, because it otherwise does not come off without cutting)

Cons: Company cancelled my original booking 3 days before my trip because of their own billing issue. Then told me to rebook at the new higher market price. Would not honor original price, no matter how high up the management chain I went. No service at all. I get this is not a hotel, but I would expect some minimum service. When my son got sick with diarrhea and we ran out of TP, the front desk refused to give me any. Room has kitchen, but not even salt is provided. Good luck trying to get new towels. The hotel runs out of chairs on the beach by 9am. There’s no where close to enough for everyone. So be prepared to get your towel and belongings very sandy. Partial sea views rooms can only see the sea if you hang one foot over your balcony. Horrible wi-fi TVs don’t work. And if you need help, guess what... Pros: The rooms are otherwise nice and clean The beach is decent, except for the Portuguese Man o War we had visit and clear the entire beach for several hours. The hotels next door are closed and dilapidated, so that means less people on the beach.

I had booked the ocean view room Which I paid for almost $3000 for four night. But when I reached the property was given a partial Oceanview. The room itself was so dirty the dishes had food stuck to it coffee cups had coffee stains and there was some kind of gunk all over the blindsWhich was extremely disgusting. After speaking to management about it Instead of changing the room they asked me to wait while they clean the room it was 6 PM by the time we got into the room and I had two kids with me and we had to sit in the lobby from 2 PM to 6 PM as I had requested an early check-in. Once we got into the room the vents started leaking, water was dripping from the ceiling. after speaking to management about it I was told they will come and fix it but nobody came to fix the water we had to stay in the dripping water apartment. When I asked them to change my room they tried to charge me extra $1300 on top of the $3000 I had already paid. This place is run by amateurs who haven absolutely no idea about customer service and all they Are worried about is making money, more money. Nobody is on the property they are either overseas somewhere or in a different state every time there is a problem you have to call them it takes them hours to get back to you to fix your problem. This really ruined my trip with my kids. Don’t go by their pictures on their site those pictures are deceiving.

Return guests, booked corner oceanfront in Jan based on previous good experience. This week told card on file was "declined." Two more working CCs, confirmed with our companies, also, "declined." After 2 days, 15 calls, many emails, little help besides emails threatening cancellation if we did not clear things with "our bank," and letting us know our working cards weren't working, they cancelled us. We did get our deposit back, but room is now 3x rate, which is hardly a coincidence. Starting over for family Spring Break in Florida now less than 2 weeks away. The worst and shadiest I have ever experienced in my many years of travels. Will also be reporting to BBB.

We just got cancelled out of our reservation from March 23-April 13. Booked on our credit card and we were cancelled since price on our booking went up $4000. We were told we could book at the higher rate . Got big run around from the billing department who told us no one could help us since it was purim.will report to attorney General and better business bureau. U can’t cancel them for Covid but they can do these terrible things. Now we can’t spend Passover with our family since u have treated us so horribly and cancelled us!! Do not trust these people!

Our stay at Churchill suites was nice! Weather was perfect. The suite was very nice, 16th floor over looking ocean, which I highly recommend. Short walk to beach, only drawback is that you have to walk through an underground parking garage to reach it. The area of the hotel is sketchy with over 50% of businesses and hotels were closed. Lots of street noise. No good restaurants in walking distance. 3 miles north of here. The workers and staff were very nice. The closed hotel next door had work being done on it as it is mostly an eye sore. The mask policy was in place but not enforced like lunatics which I appreciated.
