This was my very 1st time in Miami and wow this hotel was REALLY fun. Handsome men and Kind staff!! They Made me feel at home. I stayed here for 6 nights and each night they had something fun going on at the bar in the lobby. They do offer bikes for hotel guests free of charge, but just becareful, Bikes are not maintained well, due to the humid wet climate the chains are a little rusted and while I was riding the chain came off. Took a Uber back along with the bike. The next day it happened again but I was able to put the chain back on. The hotel is walking distance to almost all of south beach... There is a all men’s Sauna attached to the hotel for some Relaxation. I had a king room with kitschy decor, bed was firm and definitely pretty spacious. I can’t wait to come back, thank you for having me. …
Really, the entire staff at this property treat you the same as they would a guest in their own in their home. The room was spacious and in good repair, clean as a whistle. I cannot review any daily housekeeping per current COVID restrictions. I always appreciate a clever design that is well executed. I was most comfortable, lots of amenities. Priced competitively for the neighborhood and a good value. The owner (Alex?) is hands-on and I saw him at the property daily. Only criticism: The Wi-Fi was slow when the hotel was at full capacity. Staff is aware of this problem.
I broke up with my boyfriend cause he is a low down, dirty, cheating hussy and I needed a place to stay until I moved into my new apartment. I’m kidding, he wasn’t cheating on me - the sex wasn’t good. Anyway, I’m really glad I stayed at the Gaythering. The entire team is super helpful and warm. I switched rooms mid trip and Matt had my belongings moved from one room to another which was super helpful. Monte and Rome were also at the front desk often and assisted me with whatever I needed (like a cup of tea before bed). Breakfast every morning is a nice perk, served by Madga who is a sweetheart. My only negative criticism is that the room temperature does not get below 71 degrees, and I prefer a colder room when I sleep. Nevertheless, I know where I’ll be staying if I have another breakup! 😋…
If you're looking for a welcoming place to stay in south beach the Gaythering is it. I have stayed here multiple times and enjoyed the morning breakfasts, the evening events, whether bingo, karaoke, or bears and hares. Great friendly bar with a local neighborhood vibe. The staff is friendly and attentive and the rooms are great, the sauna downstairs is an added bonus when looking to blow off some steam. I always recommend the Gaythering to visitors of Miami Beach.
Stayed in the crates Feb 2020 and to be honest can not fault the place. As a solo traveller the set up of the crates gives your own privacy and a social element when it comes to meeting others. Usually a few days away solo is enough for me but I was not ready to go home after staying at Hotel Gaythering. My experience of other guests in the crates was also super respectful which surprised me as I wasn’t setting high expectations. Feeling at home straight away was the icing on the cake - cannot fault the entire experience!
