We rented a two bedroom apartment. There is no space to put personal items around the sink nor in the shower if you take the bathroom closest to the queen bed. I had to walk from the bedroom to the bathroom each time I needed a toiletry item and my shower essentials had to be put on the floor of the shower. I found hair in my sheets at check in, which is a peeve of mine. I asked for a new set of sheets from the front desk so I could change them myself. The towels were abysmal. If they were not torn or stained, they looked like they had been used for 10+ years. There was construction going on at the property next door during our stay, so we heard equipment and got hit with sprays of sand as the leveling machinery moved while trying to enjoy the beach. Also, no one cleaned the seaweed off the section of the beach hosted by the Carillon. After the first night, there was a stomach-turning smell coming from the kitchenette area of our apartment. We took all the trash out and looked around for a source after the smell remained to no avail. When housekeeping tried to remedy it, the smell disappeared for a few hours then returned in the evening. We had to hold our breath when passing in the kitchenette area to avoid nausea. We got stuck in the elevator on the morning of check out. We tried calling "Otis" as instructed on the emergency placard, but no one answered. Luckily, the elevator responded when called to the 12th floor and we were able to exit. We took another elevator down and told the front desk attendant who didn't seem surprised. To end on a positive note, the hotel staff is very pleasant and the spa was great, although crowded at times. The location is ideal if you want to avoid the constant party of South Beach. It is an older property, but appears to be tended enough to still look nice at first glance; however, there are some shortcomings as mentioned above that would prevent me from recommending the hotel to others at its current price point.…
This was by far one of the best Spa Experiences I ever had. Firstly, I had an amazing Acupuncture session at the Advanced Holistic center with Irina. With my session, it gave me access to the Spa. The front desk clerks were very friendly and helpful. Most of all, in the Spa area, Maria was so attentive to my needs. She gave me a tour and showed me that there was a Thermal Sauna with Eucalyptus scent, an Igloo shower…you have to see this to believe it and so much more. This place is a must for relaxation and pampering.
Great place, clean rooms and great location. Staff was nice and helpful, especially Carlos Z at the front desk - extremely nice and gave was great recommendations!! Has a private beach and fantastic spa with all kinds of steam rooms and hot tubs. I’ll definitely come back
Great room and property. There are so many beautiful touches and open and welcoming environment. Loved the beach yoga, meditation and sound healing with Christina. Sheneika and Wangui were so nice and ensured my stay was perfect. Will definitely come back for another stay,
I have not written a review in years - and I have over 1000 trip advisor reviews…but the service at the Carillon made it a must. First there were challenges in getting the room- on arrival. We waited in the Spa and were ready for a restful and relaxing family weekend. A shout out and thanks to the night crew - Carlos and the night shift went above and beyond to help me and my family feel special. The spa holiday was a hit with friends and family. I wish we had more time to enjoy the amenities and the beach. Well worth the premium you will pay to be on the grownup side of Miami Beach. 😎😉
Great facilities and our family loved our stay here. The pools were perfectly located and the beach was very easy to walk right on to. Each room was spacious and extremely clean. we would recommend staying here to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend just north of south beach.
I had an incredible stay the hotel. The service was incredible and the staff was all very friendly. They met all of my request and is an exceptionally operated hotel. Specifically, the service received from Francoise exceeded my expectations. My room was always clean and she really is an amazing staff member.
The walls by the Spa jacuzzi are eaten by the water splashing on, the wall and door mirrors in one exercise room are broken, doors are rusted, The towels by the pool and beach have passed their time, and sun umbrellas are not pretty to sit under, the building exterior needs painting and rust removed, etc. The massage and facial services are great and the spa desk staff is very helpful.
The location, hotel room and amenities are great. Need an attention to details for the price. We went on Fl residents special and Miami spa month. Pool 5th floor clock needs a battery. Salt mist machines in rooms should be changed daily to work. Men's spa heat steam room had no red lights and did not change of scents,. Buttons did not work. Igloo was cool, but no change of scents only 1 button works. No one in the locker rooms explains the lockers. Sizes in different lockers. How steam, showers, feet baths work. I could not get the foot bath to fill. Bar was great but not open very late. Breakfast was great. (Included) Need to use all paper products vs plastics (greeware is plastic- no better for environment) Clean up the beaches plastic waste, drink cups, etc. I would not pay full price. …
We truly enjoyed our time at the Carillion Wellness Resort! You really can't beat their spa & fitness facilities! For those who are still looking to social distance, they have a wide variety of touchless pampering options to choose from. Plus the food here is really delicious!
