Hotel is less than 5min away from a beach. The room was spacious and clean, but have found a hair in the bed (surely not mine). I would appreciate a drapery on the windows to minimize the light from the street. Very loud test of a fire alarm in the morning suprised us, the staff was amused, but we were terrified
I’ve stayed 3 times here since 2021. It’s my go to spot for Miami Beach and has kinda spoiled my view on other places. For me this place serves everything I need. I’m coming from NY and want to spend my time well on vacation. Check in was quick and efficient the 3 times I’ve come so far. The views from certain rooms may not be 100% the greatest but the price and value is phenomenal. It’s only a short block from the beach and centrally located. Price is GREAT! The building is modern, clean, quiet and under 30 mins from Miami airport, maybe 15-20 mins if no traffic. I enjoy having an entire apartment with full kitchen, washer and dryer for my convenience. You can take an Uber or the #150 express bus from Miami metro station. Bus leaves you right now on the corner of 41st & Collins which is on the corner of the hotel but that may change when construction finishes in the area. Even still it may be only a short block away. Close enough to South Beach by the free trolley system but peace and quiet when you need it. There’s a 24 hr CVS right on the corner across from the hotel or if you want cheaper options a Publix supermarket is around 67th & collins. I’ve stayed in the deluxe studios so far and will be trying out different units on future visits. I always write out long reviews because when I’m checking out places, I look for these as well. A++++…
We had an emergency, a family event wherein Air B & B cancelled our reservation over Spring Break and we frantically had to find a place. Thank goodness we stumbled into the Westover Arms. On a street full of clip joints, these people run a clean, comfortable, newly renovated hotel with suites that have a lot of potential. There is a CVS nearby for quick food, the kitchen is large and convenient and, in the larger suites, a well organized family could easily sleep 5 people. As I said, the owners and managers are very decent and responsible. Although there is no pool or beachfront (it is across the street, and the hotel has an arrangement for beach use). I really do appreciate this hotel and will stay there again if I have another family engagement.
The Studio room is very nicely appointed with full refrigerator, range and oven, microwave, breakfast bar with 2 barstools, blender and coffeemaker -- with no coffee. Nice bed, but not a single chair in the room. There are NO guest services nor any amenities. I stayed one night; and only saw 3 people (all employees) one at a time. Didn't see another guest or any other employees the entire time. Very strange. Employees couldn't smile. I think they charged me a "resort fee." Hilarious! There is no resort!! And they don't offer services or amenities. I had to leave without even a cup of coffee. If you want a nice clean, comfortable room, nicely appointed to relax and get a good night's sleep -- and that is all -- this is a good place for that. But if you want some services, even just coffee, go elsewhere.…
No photo depicts the room you will inhabit. It was an uncomfortable Murphy bed with only two bar stools for sitting. We saw several rooms. Good location, nice to have full kitchen and W/D however do not be fooled by open spacious fotos with normal bed and chesterfields.
The rooms were wonderful, large, pretty clean, the tv made weird noises like the sound was going out and the hotel staff were very accommodating, They are quick to come and resolve any issue you may have the location is nice if you are wanting a nice quiet stay, this portion of the beach does not have many amenities, It was really hard to find food unless you walked to south beach. the hotel staff while very nice was not informative at all, they did not speak good english and had no idea about the area, when asked anything about finding something to do or somewhere to eat I was constantly told they were unfamiliar with the area, If you are looking for family fun or adventure stay in southbeach. If you want a nice quiet stay and you are cooking most of your own food then this is the place for you. overall I loved the room just not the area or the staff. Oh and please do not buy a drink from the bar they are awful I purchased a happy hour margarita and was only able to drink a few sips and had really bad acid reflux for the remainder of the night. They did not know what they were doing here either. the beach chairs are nice but they close and take the chairs back around 4:30pm…
My family of five (3 kids 8 and under) stayed in the Premier Studio room facing Collins Avenue. No balcony for our suite though some other do have them. The one king bed and pullout L shaped couch were a perfect fit for us. The room was up to date, clean and all the stainless steel kitchen appliances were like new. Full size fridge with water/ice cube tap and filter was a bonus! Dishwasher, Microwave, Stove/Oven and Toaster all provided. Combo Washer and dryer in the closet was convenient after the long beach days. About a 50" Flat Screen TV with Direct TV. In room Wi-Fi also provided. The staff from top to bottom was very friendly and accommodating, always offering help. Hotel in general was a nice quiet place to stay. There is a little bar area in the lobby and a convenience store near the back for various needs. They will write you a voucher every day for 2 beach loungers and umbrella on the beach so rental is not needed. Also for beach towels. Access to the beach is very close, right across the street, so a 2 minute walk. No parking at the hotel, just a few spots in front for 15 Minute loading and unloading. I parked at the City Garage overnight. The entrance to this parking structure is at the corner of 42nd Street and Sheridan Avenue (about a 5-10 minute walk to the hotel) nice little walk over the bridge, no big deal. The parking here is affordable. Maximum $8 a day and it is open 24-7. I only needed our vehicle every other day or so this was not an inconvenience for us. My only cons about this place are no broom provided so bring one if you want to sweep up the sand in your room since the whole place is tile floor. Sand gets everywhere! And the outside windows could use a wash, they were dirty and hard to see through. Otherwise, an awesome place to stay and I would highly recommend it!…
Newly renovated (completely) clean, safe, full size kitchen appliances, mini washer/dye, free lounge chairs and umbrella at the beach, beach one block away, great value, Can open Murphy bed and couch at same time.ly)
Room was roomy and had washer/dryer. Pictures on website are accurate. Murphy bed does not take up the whole room. Staff friendly and efficient. 1 block from beach. Free beach chairs, umbrellas, towels. Close to restaurants (including kosher). Only 5 stories high.
Stayed here over the weekend for a friend's birthday. The room fit 5 comfortably with a full kitchen and washer and dryer. The decor is up to date. The lobby offered a nice white art deco feel. The staff including the housekeeper were nice. The only thing I would suggest is to actually provide dish detergent to go along with the sponge they provide. Also the room temperatures were fine and could be adjusted, but the hallways were warm and stuffy which was odd. Close to fontainbleau and trolley accessible. No parking though unless you can find it on the beach or pay for the overpriced garage 2 blocks down the street.
