Did not enjoy this hotel. Room was decent size but super weird layout, with soaking tub facing the bed right under the TV. While there was enough storage space, the closets were not in one dressing area. To go down to the pool, you had to go to main lobby and then cross nJaya restaurant. Uncomfortable to walk down in your robe….. Jaya restaurant food at dinner mediocre. Breakfast buffet was very nice. Pool area (3 pools) was nice and service was attentive. I would not go back nor would I recommend.
I was skeptical when my husband booked this stay. It was a bit pricey and I didn’t know anyone who had stayed here. From the time we arrived, the experience was luxurious. Our room which may have been one of their most basic ones was amazing. No real view but it didn’t matter. The decor was beautiful and had a very sexy sleek look. Not one thing was out of place, nicked or faded. The bar was great. Drinks were delicious and the bartender was attentive without being intrusive. Perfection. We only had breakfast at the hotel and I would actually come back just for it. It was great. Service even better. It was pretty slow when we visited so the pool area was a bit empty. Can’t say what it’s like at a busy time. The pool area experience was luxurious as well with water spray and cool towels. Can’t say enough. It’s worth the money.…
Celebrated wife’s birthday here. Great stay in every way. Special birthday treat in room on arrival, and spacious room with excellent facilities/amenities. All staff very friendly. Dining and breakfast food and service were very good. Pool area looked very nice. Easy access to the beach, and overall location was just what we needed. No doubt we will be back.
Friendly and attentive staff - suite was well maintained and we enjoyed having access to multiple pools along with the beach. Plenty of food options offered on-site and the Sunday brunch was a fun experience. We had a chance to have a couples massage at the spa but would say that was mediocre.
The hotel, accomendations, amenities, staff and restaurants were amazing. They clearly understand customer service and the attention to details. Enjoyed the drinks & food on the beach and poolside. The Sunday Jazz Brunch ... BEST in Miami!
The best kept secret in Miami!! This hotel is elegant, sophisticated and the services is exceptional. Have stayed here several times over the last few months and it is head and shoulders above the other top hotels (ONE, SLS, Loews) in the area I used to frequent. Pool area is calm and zen during the day with beautiful palm trees, design elements and some of the nicest pool staff in the city. At night the lobby bar and Jaya Restaurant are the place to be with a great crowd. This might seem like a minor detail but the shower head in the room is literally the best shower head I’ve experienced anywhere in the world, only other one on this level was at the Burj Al Arab in Dubai!! Very impressive
The service was unmatched at the Setai. All of the staff was amazing and went out of their way to help. The room was very clean. The pools were amazing and so relaxing. It really feels like an oasis in Miami. Will definitely be back!
I always wanted to check out this place but wondered if it would be too shishi and minimalist for my taste, so I finally stayed for a night to find out and was surprised at how good it actually was. The doorman might have been alerted to my visit because i had a suite, but he escorted me to the room and gave me a tour of the property. The hotel's website does not do justice to the property. It's really gorgeous with a beautiful interior courtyard and pool area. I was upgraded to the Tower rooms and I had a ocenview suite which had good wow factor. It's a good thing because I saw the room i was supposed to have in the Art Deco building and this was much better. You got to like having a bathtub right in front of your bed, and the toilet and shower on opposite sides of the room if you are in the Art Deco building with a suite, and the "partial ocean views" are pretty awful compared to the Tower. I liked having the northern view rather than the southern view. From 31 floors up, Miami Beach looking north from this point is beautiful. The gym is good; it's not heavy on various exercise stations and is more toward free weights but it does have a technogym multi-use station and all the amenities you need in a gym. The spa was quite nice with relaxation and treatment rooms on the 18th floor of the tower building although I was disappointed that there was no steam room in the spa; I don't like saunas and I do like a steam room to hydrate after a flight. I hope they'll have one in their new digs when they finish the new spa. I really liked the pool concept with 3 pools at various temperatures. I'd say most people were in the middle one at 85 degrees. It did not feel crowded at the pool which was laid out in a way to give you a tranquil feeling and they did not have loud music at the pool which was good. They have a nice setup at the beach and the beach is very nice with a lifeguard station not far away at the public beach next door. Dinner at the Ocean Grill was excellent; I ordered lots of food and everything was great. Breakfast buffet was also excellent and probably one of the best in town; you could stay here several days and be happy with breakfast. Some of the items on the buffet were cold but if you told a waiter they would offer to bring you a hot version of that dish. My suite was furnished really nicely with lots of places to sit; i liked the balcony furniture; air conditioning, shower and other things worked well. There were chocolates, fruits and champagne upon arrival in the room. I did not like their choice of bathroom sinks having found it hard to wash your face without sticking it and your hands into the small sink. I also did not like the bed duvets; they were hot to the touch and it was not a great night's sleep for me with them on me. I really think that in a good hotel you want a top sheet on your bed and shouldn't have to ask for it at midnight when you realize you're hot in your bed. This is definitely something they ought to consider. The hotel was good about giving me a later checkout due to a delayed flight and I found staff uniformly friendly and professional. Elevators worked pretty well getting me to the 31st floor of the tower; they put in enough elevators to handle lots of guests and there was a convention there at the time. That's important because a lot of hotels fail on this. Definitely this place is pricey; my suite was $2,200 for the night (although a week later without the convention being in town the rate would be considerably lower) and a salad with a piece of fish on it for lunch was $45 with tax and mandatory 20% tip at the Ocean Grill. But they are delivering good quality and the hotel has a resort feeling for a Miami Beach hotel and getting to 20th and Collins is actually a relatively convenient part of town to reach and there are plenty of amenities on the street close to the hotel. You can also walk a few blocks and reach Lincoln Road or the Convention Center. There are two-bedroom suites here for families in the tower section and I would return with mine. The Setai also has a hotel in Tel Aviv; i wonder if it is as good. …
Beautiful hotel with great amenities and fantastic staff. The restaurants in-site have food and wonderful service. The drinks are great too. Would recommend for a couples getaway or even for families.
Beautiful hotel, impeccable service! Can't wait to go back!! Gorgeous pool, gorgeous beach. Jaya restaurant was fun. Rooms were big and room service was amazing. All around a great weekend away. Everyone at the hotel was extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommend the hotel
