The Hilton Cabana Miami Beach Resort offers a prime beachfront location that is highly praised by many travelers. However, guests have called out the resort for its high prices and additional fees, which some feel negatively impact the value. The new room decor is excellent! I've stayed here before, the hospitality was excellent, but the room decor was...let's say...vintage : )

During my check-out the hotel manager told me that the lobby area was next to be updated; I can't wait to see it. The location is excellent, I will be staying there again!

Stayed recently for a business trip and one of my biggest pet peeve's when leaving the office to complete dome work back at the room is finding the room not made up upon return. One day I even called the front desk at 8am requesting my room be made up as early as possible they advised room would be an early priority upon return at 230p room was untouched.

The room itself is not conducive for any computer work no desk top out let or plugs at all have to move desk to get at wall outlet. Noisy floor with guests arriving all hours ( even a cat fight with a group of females) that started at 4am 2 rooms over from me.

At check in arrived a few hours early hoping room would be ready with a reservation but had to wait until after 4p for it to be turned over.

This hotel is all based around their patio bar which sits on the beach. Their food items were sparse and very pricey as well. I will give all staff an A for customer service. No ramp at the front door if your arrive or leave with luggage so be prepared to climb stairs. If I go back on a vacation stay and may return for another business trip I will look at other options first.

Positives: Staff! Mr. O, the Director of Front Office, was very accommodating to all of our room switch requests. He didn't give us a hard time, but explained the situation at hand, and made it right by us. That was very much appreciated. The front desk staff of Dana and Grelyne couldn't have been more delightful. Great personalities and super helpful. Our room views were beachfront which were totally worth it. The bar, pool and beach areas were footsteps away. Wendy, at the pool was so friendly and accommodating. The bar staff of Anton and Nicole were very attentive. And the valet (a separate service) was quick to retrieve and park our vehicle as were the beach set up staff (a separate service). Even the people staying at the resort were a nice clientele. All in all, a lovely way to combine business and pleasure in a great location.
Negatives: The rooms (and we were in at least 4) need updating. The hotel is right on the beach, so why wouldn't you want to make it the best possible? I'm not saying they're horrible, but they do need a refresh. There is no restaurant at that location, although they do their best to provide a varied lunch menu.
Bottom line: there are more pros than cons to staying here. It is a clean facility with a dynamite staff.

I’ve stayed in Hilton’s hotels in the Uk so thought it would just be similar in Miami.
How wrong we were the price of drinks and food in the hotel are fairly expensive especially when there’s a cracking little restaurant straight across the road (MR VERNONS ) is a must if you are in the area.
From checking in and having to put 700 dollars down as a deposit and then wanting 28 dollars a day for 2 towels and 2 bottles of water per day even though we had payed for 3 adults when we booked the holiday but of course it’s extra. Which is this hotel all over. The customer service is probably the worst I’ve had every time I approached them about anything the answer was well that’s company policy simple as that. Especially as on the counter it says “any problems we’ll make it right “
I don’t like giving negative feed back as a rule but this place needs a reality check.

This is an excellent location with beautiful facilities. I would highly recommend this property had the room was cleaned on arrival and hotel staff were responsive to customer needs. When we arrived to the hotel, the carpet in the room was filthy with food particles scattered along both sides of the bed. It was evident no one vacuumed the floor. On three different occasions, we asked the hotel front desk to have our room cleaned. It was finally cleaned on the third day. Additionally, we received bogus charges on our credit card which we are currently trying to resolve. We were randomly charged $9.55 and $50 for riding the bikes when I have a receipt for the transaction being free. I encourage people to check the bank accounts while staying at this location.

I stayed at the Hilton Cabana in Miami in room 3/27-4/2 .Before arriving I noticed I was charged $600 and $6000 before stepping foot in the door. The entirety of my stay is $4000 so I have no idea why that would be the case. Upon arrival the hotel was unlit and since it was under construction we needed to exit on the street and climb the ramp and then the stairs with our luggage; no one from the hotel so much as attempted to open the door.
We checked in and went to our room to find wires hanging out of the ceiling and the smoke detector missing along with many fresh stains on the carpet. (Photos attached).
I went down to the front desk and was told Spring breakers probably took it down so they could smoke in the room. The rate for that night was $819 an nd $569 for every night after. I do not believe that this room was cleaned nor inspected . With covid I understand that you might have some constraints but with that also comes more responsibility to clean to a higher standard. This room had stains on the carpet, cigarette butts on the floor and a dusty lamp. Management still does not reach out.

One morning I went to get breakfast and asked for a berry parfait and it was not available (this is the second day) I asked for a smoothie and was told it is not included in breakfast only the left side of the menu. This has to be incorrect as the beverages are included and they are on the right side of the menu.
I then walked down to the pool to get towels at 10:40 and was told they are all in the dryer. I could not get a towel at the beginning of the day. Meanwhile there were a ton of dirty towels still in the bin.
I completely understand that the pandemic has caused some restrictions for you but this level of service is unacceptable. I kindly request a reply to this email. The management this hotel has yet to contqct me. This is an embarrassment!

Unfortunately, due to the Pandemic, the hotel does not serve breakfast at this time. The receptions immediately recognized My Gold Status upon arrival, and the staff was very professional and helpful.
Because of the Pandemic, I ran into people whom after I spoke with them learned they would typically not be able to stay at a Hilton. The hotel staff still treated them respectfully as if they would have paid the usual high price. (I don't want to sound like a snob, but once upon a time, I earned less than the two friendly people I met and had a chance to stay at a hotel with the same reputation as "Hilton" and was treated like garbage.) So, great job to the Hilton staff.
Here is one thing people should watch for during the Pandemic. This Hilton, along with another Hilton brand Hotel I'm writing a review about, only sends up room service on request. It is a combination of the Miami Dade County regulations to deal with the Pandemic and Hilton does with to protect their employees.
If you wish to have the cleaning service, please don't be in the room when the staff comes in. It is safer for both you, the guest and the cleaning team that you are out of the room when they are in the room cleaning.

This is my first time staying at this hotel and I’ve had nothing but a great experience. The check-in process was seamless. Keston Superville (Director of Guest Experience) was working the front desk and he was absolutely excellent. He was informative, helpful, always asking how we were doing throughout our stay and if we needed anything, and anything we needed he was there to provide assistance. The room was clean and nicely designed. There is a mini fridge in the room (2 queen bed room) but it really only holds about ~6 bottles. Not really big enough to hold to go boxes of food. And no microwave in the room, but there is one in the snack shop on the main floor. No room service during these times of the COVID-19 pandemic of course but whenever we called down for extra towels, someone would be up within 5 minutes with them. We were even provided more coffee and water for the room. The hotel walks right on to the boardwalk and the beach. If you go to the left of the boardwalk, there is a restroom every half mile up to ~2 miles I believe. The Hilton provides beach chairs (umbrella is an additional charge) and the guy that was at the booth out there (I didn’t catch his name) was very informative as well and super friendly. They also provide lunch service out at the beach starting at 12pm and the food was out within 30 minutes (maybe less) of ordering. The guy taking the orders on 2/4/2021 was so efficient. The pools (one on the lower level and one on the 3rd floor) were heated which felt so good especially since there were some cooler windy days. There is also someone in the front lobby opening the doors for everyone and also assisted us with our luggage. Overall I have nothing but great things to say about this particular Hilton. I will definitely be returning soon. I am especially looking forward to returning when we aren’t in a pandemic and the dining is fully open.

The Hilton Cabana in Miami Beach is one hotel we wish never to stay in again. We arrived and no staff came to help with luggage which we had to take up a slope then carry up 6 steps. Not a good start. Then queue at reception to register and take own bags to room. This hotel is supposed to be close to the Art Deco area. Actually there is virtually nothing near it except other hotels and a restaurant (The Tavern) across the road. We suppose that the hotel may be alright for someone wishing to spend all day in the pool or on the beach. One can take a free Trolley bus the North Beach or South Beach or Lincoln Road shopping area and it is meant to run every 20 minutes. On the occasion I used it I waited over 30 minutes for the return journey and there were dozens waiting when I reached the stop. Not good.
The large double bed was not lined up with the headboard leaving a gap into which a pillow slipped. I straightened it myself. I noticed some dirt on the skirting board (photo) that was still there when we checked out 2 days later. The bathroom lacked shelf space. The basin was in a wash stand that was not tight to the wall and items easily fell off. Indeed, when putting the soap in the dish it slid out over the edge onto the floor. When I picked it up it was covered in hair. Obviously rarely cleaned under there. Looking in more detail at the basin the overflow had not been cleaned in months (see photo). Just before we left, I noticed a small piece of broken glass on the floor by my side of the bed - just as well that I had not stepped on it when visiting the bathroom barefooted. One of the wardrobe doors did not close properly. There was no Remote to operate the TV. One was delivered following my request but then I could not make it turn on the TV so I gave up.
Breakfast was in the restaurant. The HOT food was cold! I wondered whether it had been reheated from previous days considering the large number of chicken sausages and the large amount of bacon and the few people eating breakfast. There was a selection of breads on display but no indication of what types (there are certain breads I do not eat) and similarly no indication of what the four jams were. The only good bit about breakfast was that they had Earl Grey tea available. On both mornings we were there, I found the floor to be very slippery - indeed I walked more carefully that I had done on the cruise ship we had been on in stormy weather. We refused to eat dinner in the restaurant initially because there was no menu displayed and we were not going in to eat without knowing the choice and the prices. Bearing in mind the breakfast the morning after we arrived, we consider that a good decision.

We arrived at the hilton cabana march 8th and sat for a bite to eat while waiting for our room. The bell hop took all of our luggage and kept it in the hotel lobby until our rooms were ready. When returning to the desk to check on our room lito was apologetic that both rooms weren't ready yet and he gave us a voucher for dinner. The rooms were cleaned upon arrival and as me and my two little girls waited outside with our cousins we saw the staff clean the funiture and room thoroughly. We recieved texted from Elizabeth, Lito jr, Ozgur and Trisha checking in on how our stay is going. We recieved a crib for our almost 1 year old when requested which made our stay so much more comfortable. We had an amazing experience with the waitresses at the restaurant and Adriana was incredibly sweet and helpful. When we took our youngest daughter for her first birthday dinner Adriana suprised us with a beautiful piece of chocolate cake. Our pool experience was wonderful as well. We rented a cabana for 2 days which made a day poolside so much easier with 4 kids under 5. We cant wait to come back! Thank you all staff <3

I honestly can't remember what the hold charge was on the card but they also charge you a towel deposit and give you a card that has to be returned when you check out or they charge you for the towel. The card is handed to a pool boy who gives you a towel. When you return the towel, make sure you get the card back! You also get charged for rental of stuff at their beach, umbrellas, chairs, etc. Have fun. I'm ready to go back to Ireland!
