Wonderful hotel! It was extremely clean, nicely updated, spacious, and not to mention in a great location. The staff was very helpful and housekeeping came daily with fresh sheets and towels. We had a bad stay at a hotel around the corner so I wasn’t expecting much with being it was such a good price, but it was a night and day difference. Valet parking was $32/day and once you get to the hotel they charge an extra fee aside from what I prepaid, but it was only an extra $27 for 2 nights (fees are expected in Miami though). I will absolutely return! Best deal in South Beach!

We ran into a small issue in the beginning... However, Jazmine and Rodolfo were AMAZING!! They both went over and beyond to remedy our concerns and made sure we thoroughly enjoyed our experience while in South Beach. Thank you so much for everything Jazmine and Rodolfo.

The room is colorfully decorated and has a kitchen! Everything in the room was great. It was so nice and clean and we slept like a baby in the comfortable bed. I'm surprised by some of the other reviews since our experience with the staff was amazing. They were super nice to us and helped arrange things even though our flight arrived early on check-in day and left late on check out day. The best thing for us was it was just far enough away from the chaos of the Ocean Dr. strip to enjoy nice, quiet times, but able to walk to anything we needed in South Beach, I would visit this hotel again in a heartbeat.

1st I'd like to begin by saying that we absolutely love staying at boutique hotels in Miami and we've done so many times. The issue with this hotel was that the amenities were not up to code. 1st of all we had issues all 3 days with the Wi-Fi. We asked the front desk multiple times if anything was being done about it and they kept saying that they were working on it with a very negative attitude. The staff at the front desk always seemed to have an issue when you ask for anything. The 2nd thing was that we didn't have enough towels and we would have to go to the front desk to ask for a bath towel and again the bad negative looks as if we were asking for too much. But the reason I titled this review humiliating is what happened to us with our friends. We invited our friends over after dinner for a nightcap and at the door we were humiliated by the staff. We were told in front of them that we were not allowed to have anybody spend the night otherwise we would have to pay for them. We insisted that we were not doing that, that they were just going to hang out with us for a couple of hours for a drink. I have never experienced so much embarrassment and humiliation like I did that night . I felt as if we were at a high school field trip being chaperoned. Needless to say we will never go to this hotel again or refer it to anyone. We were treated like children.

As a Miami local, I reserved a room at the Blanc Kara to celebrate my birthday weekend and have a little staycation in my city. Upon entering the hotel, I immediately fell in love with the decor and colors.. absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately the receptionists attitude did not match the scenery. She was very unwelcoming, as she warned me with all the rules and regulations of staying at the hotel. After finally getting past that step, later on in the night I was harrassed by the overnight receptionist as he continued to knock on my room door threatening to call the cops because of noise complaints from others. When there was music playing at a low volume on the TERRACE, which I paid extra for in order to not make noise inside. I felt very unwelcomed, I paid for the night in the room and at no point was I informed that there has to be absolute silence at an ADULTS ONLY hotel in south beach on a Friday night. As if getting yelled at by the rude receptionist on the night of my birthday was enough, upon checking out of the hotel the same receptionist from the night before ignores me as I’m waiting to check out, and charges me $100 extra for having another person in the room when they did not even stay the night. I am very disappointed that as a Miami local it’s hard to receive the same respect which a tourist should.

Response from Cynthia Legrand, General Manager at Blanc Kara
Responded Feb 4, 2021
Dear guest, Blanc Kara is a small charming and quiet Boutique Hotel, we are not a bar, a restaurant or a nightclub. Our guests come to relax and sleep.  We have strict policies and one of them is that we do not allow parties in the rooms or on the terraces. Another policy is that we don't allow more than 2 people per room. You had 8 people on your terrace, your guests and your music were so loud that we had complaints from the entire floor. We had to refund several guests because of your nuisance. We love our locals and we treat them as well as we treat our tourists. But as a local, you probably should have chosen another venue to celebrate your 22nd birthday, Miami Beach has countless great places to have fun and party all night. Best regards
