I usually stay at Blanc Kara when I come to Miami Beach. The hotel is stylish and has a great location..south of fifth street and a block away from the beach. There are many restaurants within walking distance. The staff is very friendly. It’s great to have a kitchen as well as the bedroom. Large walk-in shower. There are a couple of amenities that are listed on TripAdvisor that are not accurate however. There are no longer bathrobes in the rooms. In addition, because of the pandemic, there is really a minimal “breakfast “—-just a box with nothing in it that’s healthy/good (in mine, Frosted Flakes, Sunny D and high sugar yoghurt!!!) I’ve been assured that the Bistro breakfast will return…someday (?)…
Really great hotel for a stay in South Beach Florida. I would like to recommend this hotel for a stay in South Beach. Check in was excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They let us check in at noon when they found a room that was ready. Very clean hotel. Valet parking $32 but very quick and efficient. The location of this hotel is good as it is only one bock from the beach. A terrific restaurant is next door. We will definitely stay here again. They also have a small restaurant and you can get a drink here as well.
I liked this hotel because of the staff. The reception staff was very service-minded. The housekeeper was very nice and she did her job very well. I liked the guests could give some tip for housekeeping to put the money in a little envelope. Our room had terrace and this one made our stay very pleasent. Sun beds and the table were very nice. The hotel are close to the beach ( the guests can borrow beach towels from the reception) and just one block to Ocean Drive but still quiet area and no so much noise from party people. The hotel is only adult hotel.
The location was amazing and close to the beach. The staff was friendly and able to answer any questions that I had. The rooms were very spacious. No issues with the WiFi during my 3-day stay. Sleep quality was horrible. Sound isolation barely existent. I was on the first floor and was able to hear cars passing by. There is also a swanky club just across the street and you could hear the music / bass blasting till early in the morning. I was also able to hear people crossing my door. Breakfast was far below expectation. You basically get a brown paper bag with snacks that you can get at a gas station.
Great location! Adult-only is an advantage. It was very quiet. We even overheard reception telling a guest that his friend cannot visit with his kids. That’s how it should be. I also liked the option of an almost full kitchen in the room. I recommend getting in upper level room.
We recently returned from our fourth stay at this property. What was once a fun boutique hotel has changed for the worse and it is quite a shame. Not the hotel's fault: The Story night club across the street and 1/2 block south. So loud, so much traffic from 1-4 AM with loud car stereos blasting bass. Unable to sleep 2 of 3 nights at the BK Definitely the hotel's fault: The once glorious made-to-order breakfast has been replaced with a comical paper bag of plastic wrapped junk food. The AC and wifi are sketchy. The resort fee gets you nasty stained beach towels (the beach towels used to be large and clean). On the terrace rooms, the futon outside seriously needs to be replaced. We'll be staying at the very nice Stanton Hotel on the beach from now on :(
Wonderful hotel! It was extremely clean, nicely updated, spacious, and not to mention in a great location. The staff was very helpful and housekeeping came daily with fresh sheets and towels. We had a bad stay at a hotel around the corner so I wasn’t expecting much with being it was such a good price, but it was a night and day difference. Valet parking was $32/day and once you get to the hotel they charge an extra fee aside from what I prepaid, but it was only an extra $27 for 2 nights (fees are expected in Miami though). I will absolutely return! Best deal in South Beach!
We ran into a small issue in the beginning... However, Jazmine and Rodolfo were AMAZING!! They both went over and beyond to remedy our concerns and made sure we thoroughly enjoyed our experience while in South Beach. Thank you so much for everything Jazmine and Rodolfo.
The room is colorfully decorated and has a kitchen! Everything in the room was great. It was so nice and clean and we slept like a baby in the comfortable bed. I'm surprised by some of the other reviews since our experience with the staff was amazing. They were super nice to us and helped arrange things even though our flight arrived early on check-in day and left late on check out day. The best thing for us was it was just far enough away from the chaos of the Ocean Dr. strip to enjoy nice, quiet times, but able to walk to anything we needed in South Beach, I would visit this hotel again in a heartbeat.
1st I'd like to begin by saying that we absolutely love staying at boutique hotels in Miami and we've done so many times. The issue with this hotel was that the amenities were not up to code. 1st of all we had issues all 3 days with the Wi-Fi. We asked the front desk multiple times if anything was being done about it and they kept saying that they were working on it with a very negative attitude. The staff at the front desk always seemed to have an issue when you ask for anything. The 2nd thing was that we didn't have enough towels and we would have to go to the front desk to ask for a bath towel and again the bad negative looks as if we were asking for too much. But the reason I titled this review humiliating is what happened to us with our friends. We invited our friends over after dinner for a nightcap and at the door we were humiliated by the staff. We were told in front of them that we were not allowed to have anybody spend the night otherwise we would have to pay for them. We insisted that we were not doing that, that they were just going to hang out with us for a couple of hours for a drink. I have never experienced so much embarrassment and humiliation like I did that night . I felt as if we were at a high school field trip being chaperoned. Needless to say we will never go to this hotel again or refer it to anyone. We were treated like children.…
