I am member of Marriott Bonvoy. I am not impressed at all. My holiday in Miami was split in 2: From 27th of July to 1st of August we stayed in a Marriott Hotel – W South Beach Miami and from 1st of August to 4th of august we stayed in another Marriott hotel – Royal Palm South Beach. The first part of the holiday was perfect. The second part was disgraceful. I will point below all the problems which we had in Royal Palm Hotel: - When I arrived by taxi, there were 4 porters in front of the hotel. They asked us if we were parking the car at the hotel and after we told them no, they show us the direction to the reception. My wife and I had 5 bags, 2 of which were large, and no one offered to help us. In front of us was a car that parked at the hotel, they had 2 bags and were helped by the members of the hotel. It does not seem fair. - There was an odd smell throughout the entire hotel, smell like from a second-hand shop - I asked for a bucket with ice at room service. We were told that there is an ice machine on the 16th floor if I am not mistaken. I was there, it was broken. I called them again. After 15 minutes, a member of the hotel came with a plastic bag with ice. I asked them, how do I put the bottle of champagne in the bag? After another 15 minutes, they finally brought me a bucket. - We went to the beach. All the other hotels on the right and left had the beach cleaned of algae, Royal Palm no. - We were told from the beginning that we have the right to 2 beach chairs and 2 towels. We asked for them and they were given to us (I can't tell you in what condition they were, torn and dirty). I also wanted an umbrella. We were told that for the umbrella we must pay extra $20/day. At the W Hotel everything was included. - The pool at the hotel was extremely dirty, unkempt and the light bulbs were out, only 2 were still working. - We were not allowed to bring any kind of drink or food to the pool unless it was from the hotel. At W Hotel was allowed. - We had included 2 hours by bike. I asked, if we exceed 2 hours, how much do we have to pay per hour? We were told that we are not allowed more than 2 hours. At the W Hotel we were allowed with an extra charge, of course. The bicycles were old and did not work well. At one of them the chain fell off every 10 minutes - The chairs in the hotel yard were broken and very dirty. - In the room we had a small fridge full of drinks. On a ticket attached to the refrigerator it was written that it is not for personal storage, and that there are sensors on the trays and if we pick up an object from the refrigerator and put one of our own, we will be billed. Where could I have put a bottle of medicine or the food, I took from the hotel but didn't finish? - The elevator was very dirty and made sinister noises during transport. - The food was beyond criticism and looked disgusting. There is much more to say but I will stop here. I have photographic evidence for all the above. I have only one question, do you think this hotel is worth paying $930 for 3 days ( breakfast were not included)?…
This is my first time visiting Miami and staying at the Royal Palms resort. I must say I am so blown away how wonderful Carlos and the staff are there. I came to celebrate my birthday and was surprised by the lovely complimentary gift that was in my room 😍😍😍😍😍 this is the best birthday ever thank you to Carlos and the staff at the Royal Palms resort. I highly recommend staying here you wont be disappointed 😃
Was a wonderful help, assisted us beyond the maximum. He was very friendly and helpful answered all of our questions and allowed us to get acquainted with the area based on helpful information. THANK YOU JUDE!!!
Jude was the best person i’ve ever met hes my favorite give him a lot of money he deserves it he is the best person ever. please give him a raise he is my favorite. he was extremely nice and friendly and i love him.
Excellent service on the beach - we love this place and the people! Beach front is spectacular! Jude was especially helpful and attentive. He got us set up in the perfect spot on the beach on our final day.
My wife and I have stayed at this property a few times. and I did a review a couple of years ago. I really wanted to just shout out two of the team members that made our stay extra special. First off, Phil at the Front Desk was really very helpful and made check-in easy. He also sent up a nice bottle of champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries to help us celebrate our anniversary. Pedro took great care of us at breakfast each morning and was very helpful with my wife's allergies. This is a great hotel, at a great location and with a great staff.
Best guy ever! Jude really made my girlfriends and I super comfortable and had really great conversation. I really really recommend this place and ask for this guy and tip him well!! All staff is super nice and accommodating
Jude started up a really great conversation and took extra care to make sure we were in the shade and had everything we needed to enjoy a nice day at the beach in Miami. He even offered to get drinks for us.
Jude was excellent. The service was great, conversation was as well. Got us a great spot on the beach and helped us with all of our needs couldn’t ask for anything more. Makes coming to the royal palm a great experience.
Super nice beach with really nice staff, special shoutout to Jude! Really great service and friendly guy, made our stay really pleasant and always made sure we were cared for. Would definitely come again
