First of all as a Hilton diamond member and someone who spends 80 nights a year in a hotel, my review should be taken seriously and you should not stay at this hotel any costs. This hotel is discriminatory and completely unprofessional at the front desk and both are management. They do not comply with the ADA laws and question guests they have no right doing so. It’s discriminatory and disheartening that they have such horrible employees. I would advice anyone with disabilities or of color to avoid this hotel as they desvere to be shut down.
We are diamond members at Hilton and Ambassador elite at Marriott. We’ve stayed at most of the higher end Hilton and Marriotts in South Beach. This place is a little gem. It has old south beach charm and excellent customer service. A special thank you to Alexsandra, Kim, Reuben, and Kevin). We requested housekeeping after our first night and were told we could have it the next day. I’m sure this is a COVID issue. There was a sign in our room that said housekeeping available upon request. We had our housekeeping light on by 10 am. We did not verbally request it until later. When the housekeeping came, the service was exceptional. A few things to note is that breakfast is a $12 credit and the cheapest breakfast is $12 but they add 18%. So if you are used to a free breakfast be aware. The access to the beach club at the Shelborne was a great surprise. They have a wonderful beach party that starts at 4 pm. The rooms are small. I mean small. However, the terraces are very nice. If you are diamond, they will do whatever to help upgrade you. The location is wonderful. I would definitely return to this hotel.…
I was there for business and got there at 11am when check in was at 4pm. Hoping to check in early but I knew I probably needed to wait. Tatiane appeared to be new to the front desk and was being trained but also was given the task to provide water and tell me what I could possibly do to kill time. As I just sat in the lobby observing, I noticed the manager telling her to not waste her time on the details and get people to move on. I was kinda surprised. The GM came by a few times after a few hours of me waiting and asked the F/D manager if the early check ins were able to get in. She said Yes, when I was sitting there after 3 hours waiting for a room. Managers and well as employees need to realize, you think we are just looking at our phones and we are listening to everything you are saying. Tatiane noticed my stare and came over and gave me more water and told me she would check on my room. She showed she cared and felt embarrassed. My stay was overall OK but the first impression was bad except for the bellman and Tatiane. Tatiane- stick with it, you have potential to be a manager in hospitality one day. Being kind matters.…
My team and I stayed at the Gale for 5 nights, during a business trip. We had the best experience, the team was very accommodating with all our requests and went over and beyond to help. I would like to especially thank Kayla, Andres, Nicholas and Titana for making out stay super special, they are simply amazing!
What a fantastic stay we had at The Gale. A cool, arty hotel with comfy rooms, great resaraunt and roof top pool. As a family we loved everything about it. The service was excellent, clean and the free use of bikes to cycle along Ocean Drive, spot on! Keep up the fantastic work team - we'll be back!
I like the hotel. Good location, access to beach chairs at a sister hotel, etc. My issues are regarding my bill. We arrived at 3 am for a two night stay that technically began the day before. I asked the gentleman at the desk if we needed to pay for valet parking for two days since we would only have access to it for one day. He kindly offered to remove it from my bill; however, when I checked out today it was there. I asked the day desk employee about it and she said sorry, they can’t remove it because it is a third party who does valet. I said I would have understood if the first guy hadn’t offered to take it off. She just said sorry I can’t do anything. The second issue was more significant. My final remaining bill was $421. My debit card was charged $458…twice. I called and was told I was charged when I booked and then charged again when I checked out. What?? She said the money will go back in my account in three business days. Today is Friday, so my account will have $458 tied up until Wednesday or Thursday of next week…and by then I will be home from vacation. So make sure you have lots of money available for them to tie up for a few days.…
Top notch, very attentive and friendly customer service provided by Viviana, Tatiane, Nicolas and everyone we came in contact with! We get an early check in, they stored our luggage on check out and we were allowed to enjoy the rooftop pool for the entire day so we didn’t have to sit in the airport until 9:00pm. No need to look anywhere else. Anything you need or want is within easy walking distance. Room was clean and comfortable
It was my first time in Miami and this hotel added to my experience. The rooftop pool was intimate. The hotel restaurant was amazing authentic pasta. I would stay again and would recommend this hotel.
The Gale is in a great location, on the historic Collins Avenue in South Beach. It's been beautifully remodeled and the rooms were comfortable and spacious. It has a nice restaurant/bar included and we really took advantage of the free bottled water - a must in Florida in July! We also enjoyed the rooftop pool. Sure, it's not on the beach but you can use the beach services at their sister hotel across the road. But the best part of the Gale was the service. We felt absolutely welcome from the start and the staff was all really friendly, and when we had a couple of small issues they acted immediately to address them. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area.
Great location, great service, great rooms, just all around great! It’s walking distance from Ocean Drive. Super close to the Lincoln Road Mall. The rooftop pool is fantastic and they also partner with the Shelborne Hotel beach service where you get free beach chairs and towels. It’s about a block south. Rooms are somewhat small but our bathroom was quite large. Comfy bed, great a/c, and clean! Also, free bike rentals! When I go back, the Gale will be where I stay,
