It would be very easy to miss this boutique hotel but what a find! It has a great location and is totally in keeping with the Art Deco theme. It is really quirky and cool, exactly what I was hoping for my first time in Miami. The rooms were great and we really enjoyed the Dolci bar and restaurant. However what lifted this hotel from great to exceptional was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and genuinely cared about making our stay the best it could be. A special mention has to go to Kayla. She checked us in and could tell we were exhausted after a long journey so she upgraded us to a better room. Every time we walked past reception she remembered us by name and asked with genuine interest about our stay and experience in Miami. To top it all, my birthday was during our stay and she made a point of sending a bottle of cava to our room, along with a birthday signed by the staff. Kayla and the other staff are a credit to this hotel and I would throughly recommend this hotel to any visitors to Miami.…
We are diamond members at Hilton and Ambassador elite at Marriott. We’ve stayed at most of the higher end Hilton and Marriotts in South Beach. This place is a little gem. It has old south beach charm and excellent customer service. A special thank you to Alexsandra, Kim, Reuben, and Kevin). We requested housekeeping after our first night and were told we could have it the next day. I’m sure this is a COVID issue. There was a sign in our room that said housekeeping available upon request. We had our housekeeping light on by 10 am. We did not verbally request it until later. When the housekeeping came, the service was exceptional. A few things to note is that breakfast is a $12 credit and the cheapest breakfast is $12 but they add 18%. So if you are used to a free breakfast be aware. The access to the beach club at the Shelborne was a great surprise. They have a wonderful beach party that starts at 4 pm. The rooms are small. I mean small. However, the terraces are very nice. If you are diamond, they will do whatever to help upgrade you. The location is wonderful. I would definitely return to this hotel.…
staff so attentive,, go out of their way for you,,, excellent restuarant on site (Dolce) highly recommend it. pool is lovely with a peekaboo view of the ocean,,,they just need better waitress service at the pool,,as to order food, drinks, has to come from the 1st floor,,,, Rooms are a bit small but are decorated lovely and have everything you would need ! enjoyed our stay immensely
Perfect. Just perfect. Hotel was cozy, super clean, and perfectly located within reach to anything we wanted to do. Above all the team at the hotel was second to none. Viviana, Fernando and even the nice cleaning lady who gave us extra water for the beach, did everything to make us feel special during our time there. The bottle of Champagne with tall neck glasses waiting for us to remind us everyone is happy for us was a great touch. Breakfast was great and we definitely planning to come back and tell all our friends about the Gayle.
Beautiful hotel in an excellent location with very friendly and helpful staff. The main entryway is through Dolce restaurant. There is a second entrance on James Ave by Gale's valet stand. Fernando (front desk) and Jose (Bell) provided excellent service during my stay. I was even able to check in a few hours early as my room was ready. The room had a nice terrace. The room was a good size for me but may feel cramped if occupied by more than 1 person as it is small and had very limited storage space. House keeping and 2 bottles of water were provided everyday. Also robes, slippers and individual toiletries. The blue carpet in the room could have benefited from a deep cleaning. The hotel is in an excellent location. Close to Espanola Way, Lincoln Rd shops, CVS, restaurants etc. I walked or took the free South Beach bus to go to all the places I wanted to visit. Guests at the Gale have access to the Shelborne Hotel pool and beach which is about a 5-10 minute walk away. Two beach chairs and towels are included in the resort fee. Umbrella rental is $22. James, Petrus, and Tiger provided excellent service at the beach. You can order food and drinks on the beach. The hotel held my luggage after I checked out and provided me with access to the deck and rooftop pool as well as their changing facilities. I appreciated that because I was able to spend a few hours at the beach after checking out. I had a wonderful trip to Miami due in no small part to my experience at the Gale Hotel. …
No place to stop and leave your luggage in front of the hotel. You have to cross the restaurant “Dolce Italian” to get to the lobby. No closet in the room. Electrical plugs right next to your pillow. Shallow swimming pool next to noisy AC on the roof. Breakfast at the “Dolce Italian” which includes bad coffee and limited choice. No fruit. Non hotel guest can enjoy a good cappuccino and a better à la carte breakfast. A little far from the action.
We moved to this hotel after a terrible experience with another hotel. We LOVED it here, the staff were so hospitable, friendly, accommodating and wonderful. The hotel itself was very comfortable and clean and was everything we needed and wanted. Thank you to the whole team at this lovely hotel, and special thanks to Fernando for his hospitality, you made our experience all that more special!
I visited Miami April 24-28 2022 with my family for a vacation getaway and had an amazing time. We stayed at the Gale Hotel and it was very convenient to the beach, for restaurants, to shopping. We also enjoyed Kayla Jackson at the front desk who gave us great hospitality and created a to do list of attractions for us while we were there. She was very pleasant and helpful. I recommend anyone who is visiting Miami to stay at the Gale Hotel for convenience.
What a great hotel! Lovely vibe, gorgeous roof top pool and a great location close by everything! The rooms may be small but they are very comfortable. Easy walk to Ocean Ave and nearby shopping on Collins. Dolce is a GREAT restaurant. Just loved this place!
My husband and I just returned from a week at The Gale. I don't know where to begin to explain how wonderful it was. From the second we walked into the lobby we knew we were in the right place. The service is 5 star. From the front desk, where Fernando, to Diana, and Kayla go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, to Valentine, the super star Bellman who is always 5 steps ahead for what you need. Luckily Dolce is the restaurant in the hotel and it is amazing. All of our best meals we had were at Dolce. The food is just a part of it. Pizza, pasta, Branzino, and the best Burrata dish we've ever had. Now to the staff Our servers Luka and Hestor could NOT have have been more attentive, kind and fun, and Allie, who splits her time as the hostess, but also makes sure you get whatever you need at the pool to make your experience better. For us it was a couple of bottles of Rose' and some pizza. Allie is a delight. And the POOL!!! From the photos I knew the pool was beautiful, and in person it's even better. My one concern going in was, with this being a boutique hotel, were we going to have to deal with the usual, "get up to the pool and reserve a chair drama," that can ruin a vacation. NOPE! Plenty of chairs, towels and umbrellas to go around. it truly exceeded my expectations in every way. When we left we felt like family. Thank you so much everyone at Gale. We will be back.…
