Overpriced. Poor breakfast options. Beach club has bad hours. Parking is $40/day. I travel a lot and always use Hilton and I was surprised at the low quality and high price. The only plus is the people. Front desk, housekeeping and maintenance are all stars!! Hilton is going downhill and being a Diamond Member does not feel any different than anyone else.
My Wife and I just finished our 7th South Beach Vacation. We normally try different hotels from the low of the South Seas to the high of Loews. This hotel is by far and away the best of the best. It is a nice location that is about a 5 minute walk to the action of Ocean Drive (although for a nice enjoyable meal go to Espanola Way). As an aside, a Walgreens is also about 5 blocks away (corner of 5th and Collins) and is a great place to by some soda, snacks or beer for the room. Check in was amazingly simple. Debbie at the front desk is a true gem. She is always kind, inquisitive and helpful. The hotel has spacious rooms (biggest we have seen) even though we just booked the lower level room. Our balcony was large and even though it was a city view, you could see the ocean from the side. The view was nice and the room is shaded in the morning. As Diamond Members we did receive a $20 per person room credit for breakfast. We used room service and ate on the deck each morning. Ordering room service always had a little twist as the Santorni employees did not always seem to know the menu but it was still well worth it. The in-room coffee was even quite good. The pool area is small but the service is good and the area is nice. This is the same area where a lot of seating is available for dinner. There is also a good happy hour. We loved the Beach Club. Do not understand the complaints at all. Nice chairs with cushions and an employee wraps it in a cover for you. My wife and I each received 2 bottles of water when we arrived each day and they always offered more if we returned from a quick trip back to the hotel. Beach service is available. We had an awesome Pizza for $20 delivered along with drinks. The only improvement would be a bathroom closer than the hotel but that is not the hotel's fault. Location is great, employees friendly, housekeeping is excellent, Diamond benefits are good, Debbie at the front desk is amazing, room coffee is good, mini refrigerator is convenient and the elevators are fast. Ice is on Level P2 and it took me 2 minutes from the 10th floor to travel down, get ice and be back in the room.…
This was our 3rd time at this property and we were disappointed in our stay this time compared to the previous two times in which I gave high marks. Nothing really big but a lot of small things. In years past as part of the costly resort fee they gave each adult a glass of champagne each day at the beach club. They cut that out. As a diamond member we used to get a full service breakfast. This was cut to a $12 daily credit which is lot less than a full breakfast. They added gratuity to breakfast but never told us. The hot tub had an issue for 2 of our 4 nights. The pool now closes at 7 instead of 11. We had to call the front desk two of our four days to get the room cleaned. They charge 4 star prices but were no where near a 4 store experience.
The best amenity of the hotel is it’s on site restaurant Santorini’s. The entire staff provided outstanding customer service. The food was excellent and the atmosphere superb, especially the evenings with live entertainment poolside. The owners came to our table to greet us and make sure we were enjoying the food and the service. I would highly recommend a visit to Santorini!
We are Hilton Diamond members and stayed here 2 nights. We thought it was one of the nicest Hilton branded hotels we have stayed at. We have always been happy when we stay at Hilton Doubletrees and Hampton Inns but have had some misses at other Hiltons but this one was excellent. The beach service food, umbrellas and chair cushions was great. We also really liked the Greek restaurant which has a happy hour from 3-7 the days we were there, Drink specials and Tapas which were delicious. As a Dimond member we normally get free breakfast but here they gave us a $12 per person credit which we could use at any meal. For us that worked out well we are not big breakfast people and just went to the Starbucks around the corner. If you are really into breakfast $12 only buys a continental breakfast at the restaurant…
