We booked a great Collins Ave deluxe room which was on the second floor of the main building. Massive room with comfy bed and modern shower room. We booked bed and breakfast so had an American breakfast every day and enjoyed drinks by the pool . The main Collins Ave building is fantastic as you get no noise from Ocean Drive but a short walk to enjoy what can only be described as an experience, one I am not likely to repeat
We stayed at the annex building on Ocean Drive, but didn't really have a problem with the location which was right in the middle of the street party at night. The thing that made our stay was the concierge, David, who was so helpful, pleasant, and kind. Out of all the members of the staff he consistently stuck out as delivering amazing customer service, but all the staff was very nice and helpful. Pros: Rooms were fairly updated and spacious, bed was comfortable, rooftop pool was excellent, pretty clean room, really nice lobby area, great staff. Overall I would recommend this place and would stay here again. Cons: the card key for entry in the annex and our hotel room was constantly not working. The staff had to re-program them at least 5 times during our 4 night stay. It was getting ridiculous. It might sound like a small problem, but we got in at 3:00 a.m. and couldnt get into our room, had to go get the key cards reprogrammed. We got back with food, couldnt get in and had to get the keys re-programmed. This happened over and over. The staff said this happened when you put the key cards next to your cell phone - we found out this was not the problem when we got the cards re-programmed and I carried the key cards back in my hand and they still did not work so I had to walk back to the main building to get them fixed. Pretty ridiculous. Also, the hotel told us there would be towels provided along with the chairs at the beach, but the staff at the beach said they were not provided and we had to walk all the way back to the lobby and get some. David was in the lobby and promptly fixed it - such a great guy.…
Overall a good hotel. It is well-located right next to Ocean Drive. The lobby is large and quite fancy and the staff on reception/concierge were very nice and helpful. Housekeeping were excellent, coming in every day with fresh bedding and towels etc making the room up beautifully. Thank you. The rooftop pool is great too. The only downside I think is the annex, where we ended up being placed. It is a minute or so walk from the hotel and actually on Ocean Drive. Surprisingly our room was not crazy loud at night given the location but it wasn’t exactly quiet. Earplugs were provided. The annex has no lobby as such and feels a lot more like a motel. It doesn’t feel much like you’re at the Tony and really you could be anywhere, so I was disappointed that we almost felt like we didn’t get the hotel we expected. I also noticed the safety certificate for the annex lift was out of date by over a year…!…
I've travelled to 80 countries and stayed in literally hundreds of hotels around the globe but the service experienced here was THE worst ever. We arrived in Miami about 22:00 after travelling for about 20 hours, so we just wanted to go to relax in our room. Imagine our horror when we were told at reception that they did not have our reservation! I booked months earlier via hotels.com but the employee on reception advised that the previous Reservation Manager at the hotel cancelled our booking. He could not explain why! We need to keep in mind that I had fully paid for this reservation (£600!) and I only booked this hotel because I could get a specific room (one with an Ocean view). It was now too late to start looking at other hotels, so we were given an alternative (lower quality) room and advised to speak with the current Reservation Manager the next day at 7am. I went to reception the next morning at 7 but the Reception Manager was nowhere to be seen. I was advised that everything would be taken care off and that they would refund the price difference between the 2 rooms. The room we were given was awful - the decor was tired and there was hardly any light. I felt as if we were living in a cave. If you are staying in Miami and on Ocean Drive, you want to see the Ocean! We couldn't see a thing because the window was small and we were right beside another building. The next morning was Check Out and finally I saw the Reservation Manager. She apologised and said she would give us $50USD per night back. I told her this was unacceptable as the cost difference with the room we booked was $100 per night! I was shocked that she thought this was acceptable. I was so angry that they had taken my money, sold my room to someone else, put me in an AWFUL room and then wanted to keep the majority of my money! Over 2 weeks later and we STILL have not received the promised refund. My last piece of advice... there are lots of nice hotels on Miami beach. Do not stay here. They ruined the beginning of our holiday with their awful service. Do not let them do the same to you.…
We stayed here e nights with my family It was a wonderful experience Staff is very friendly, the hotel location is just perfect and the pool and the pool restaurant is excellent Our best experience in Miami since we come My kid had a severe injury and they helped with ice and to take care of the lug ages Thanks again for all the staff members for their kindness .
Pros: Easy walking distance to beach and restaurants; helpful & friendly concierge (older gentleman-forgot his name); comfortable bed; nice, hot shower; separate room for toliet; great rooftop pool with fantastic bar and waitstaff with tasty pina coladas; good value for location. Cons: We were in the newer building on the corner of 8th and Ocean avenue. Even though our room wasn't facing ocean ave. it was still very noisy every night. Made it difficult to sleep. Could hear the boom, boom, boom of the bass and people coming up the elevator at all hours. This is a great place if you're here to party and be close to the action, but for a couple in their early 60s, it just wasn't for us. Be aware you have to walk down the street, past guys making drug deals on the corner and people hanging out on the steps into your building to get into your room. Didn't feel totally safe. Realized this was the exact corner where there was a mass shooting in March 2022. Wish I had known; Also, when we checked in we were told there was no self-parking spots available and that they only had valet, which was considerably most costly. What? You don't have enough spots to accommodate your guests? Was a little put off by that. After hesitating about what we were going to do the concierge spoke up and told us there was general parking available for $20 per nite and that most likely their $18 per nite self-parking availability would most likely open up the next night, which it did. Overall, I can't recommend this hotel and would not stay there again. But of course it's all what kind of trip you're looking for.…
This hotel is in a great location for Ocean Drive and Collins. Just a short walk to many great places. At check in the lady couldn’t seem to find our booking but as we were early, we sat by the pool for a few hours. When we did check in they were unable to authorise my card. I could see each transaction appearing on my statement as we were trying. Eventually checked in but couldn’t put items on our room. The hotel is nice and clean. Bar staff are attentive and friendly. The concierge, David, is absolutely lovely and gave us advice on a number of things and also stored our bags on arrival and after check out. The rooms are nice and our shower was lovely. You receive a bottle of water on your bedside table, but it’s not replaced each day. The main thing that let us down was the bed. 3 pillows on the double bed but as soon as you lay on them, they were flat. The bed was lumpy and you can feel every movement of the person next to you. The pool area is nice and quite the sun trap. Remember to cream up!! A little disappointed to see the amount of single use plastic they use. Around the pool it’s all single use, as well as in the room. They have a “Be Green” sign in the room in relation to towels, shame they don’t use this ethos in relation to plastic. I asked about gluten free food options whilst around the pool and there weren’t many options but the barman called the kitchen to check. I had the tacos but they were served in lettuce wraps rather than soft ones. They were nice but a little expensive I asked the same question at the bar and it felt like the waiter was guessing. In the end I had a Caesar salad without croutons. Miami doesn’t seem to handle GF diets particularly well. Menus are never labelled and staff seem unsure.…
My first time in Miami and it was for my birthday. It was everything I wanted it to be the hotel was very beautiful inside the lobby and outside right around the corner from the beach. The rooftop patio was nice .. pool was small but nice the bartender was super nice perfect view. Soon as I walked up I was greeted by David who made the whole experience even more awesome he was so welcoming inviting and friendly I absolutely adore him. He gave us some really good recommendations to place to eat and visit and they were all wonderful made you feel just like family I will definitely be going back especially to see David PS the rooms are a little small but it doesn’t bother me. Also I believe all the hotels around that area are similar and dated in the inside with smaller rooms so no big deal.. I went with my best friend and itwas perfect for us.…
Perfectly situation in south beach (close to beach), rooftop pool is big enough with plenty of sunbeds, staff is friendly and attentive. Many busses towards downtown if you want to visit the city. Complementary sunbeds and towels on the beach as well as the visit of Wynwood. I strongly recommend it for your stay in Miami
The hotel had everything I was looking for. Very clean, great location and super helpful staff. I stayed in two different rooms and both were comfortable and had all the amenities for a comfortable stay. The front veranda was especially nice.
