I read mixed reviews about this hotel so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised with my stay. The room was excellent and the service was very good. This is an older hotel but my hotel room did not reflect the age of the hotel. The furnishings were very modern and the kitchenette was very nice. This...

I booked an oceanfront room at the Casablanca through hotels over a month before the date of our trip. The room was paid for at the time of booking and I received a confirmation just days before the reservation date. However, when we arrived at the hotel, we were told that they were overbooked and that the elevators were not...

We stayed at the Casablanca and were disapointed when we reached our room to find 2 double beds rather than the king we were supposed to get as it was for a romantic getaway, also we were supposed to get an ocean view but ended up getting a view of the top of palm trees. We found that the staff...

Check in was slow, no big deal. Supposedly upgraded to a better room, it was a dump! The beds sagged, stains all over the carpets, dim lighting, old bathroom with hair clogged in the tub. It kept clogging, called maint. dept. to have them dig up a huge disgusting clump of hair. The TV didn't work for the 1 st...

The only good thing this hotel has going for them is the location. It's very close to South Beach (10 min. in a car) and very close to shops. The bad stuff: (*note: I am not a picky traveler! PLEASE take these reviews seriously. I have NEVER stayed in a worse hotel.) First off, you are required to pay $15...

Before going to this hotel, i looked at the reviews on this site, and was not looking forward to going. Now after being to the hotel, i can quite honestly say, that most of the reviews are a load of rubbish. The room I was in did need a new coat of paint, but apart from that, everything was fine....

the rooms are quite ok, some are, some not. We didn't like the strange behaviour of the hotel staff and management. We felt we are not welcome as Europeans, we had the strong impression that the hotel is more friendly to Spanish speaking guests. Also the valet parking is not good. We recomment for a hastlefree stay not to book...

I just returned today after spending 8 nights. I had a beautiful refurbished room with kitchenette facing the condo on the south side but you could actually see the ocean and beach by just a glance to to left. The room was well maintained each day - cleaned everywhere and lots of towels, and kitchen things like paper towels and...

BE AWARE!!! This hotel frequently overbooks/or does not have sufficient good rooms (as many rooms owned as condominiums by private individuals and are not all well maintained). Standard policy by the hotel is rebook guest in the Mimosa hotel which is sold to you as equal or better hotel. Though rates for the mimosa might be higher, quality is significantly...

We stayed at the Casablanca from a Monday to a Saturday in April. The hotel was farther than I thought from the Art Deco district, but better for us and our 6 month old son. The public bus to the Art Deco district was $1.25 a person (exact change) each way and was very easy to use. The hotel desk...
