We pulled up the Palms and you walk inside and it really isn't that impressive so I was concerned and worried. Check in went smooth. We went to the room and the room was really nice, updated and had a great rain shower. The food from room service was pretty good. The negatives: In the morning we went to the restaurant for breakfast. I got the buffet. I was really disappointing, Nothing impressive at all but I got it because it said on the menu that I would make my own Burrito, so I was super excited. I went to the egg chef and told him I wanted to make my own burrito. He looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. He told me "I make eggs, this is my job what are you talking about". So that was odd. I then asked the waiter and he acted like I was insane. He told me no I didn't see that on the menu and he had no idea what I was talking about. I told him to get the menu. He came back and apologized and told me that he talked to other co-workers as well and in the history of working there no one has ever asked to make their own burrito like it offers on the menu. I told him I would like to and he told me he would get me a tortilla and I could put random stuff from then buffet in it. So he got me a tortilla and I obviously didn't do that because I didn't want to put waffles and oatmeal and fruit in my burrito. The waiter was nice about it, don't get me wrong that isn't my complaint, its just that the menu says you can make your own burrito and you can't. Also the toilet in the room was some low flow toilet where the pressure of the water is used to wash your hands. I am all about the environment but this is not a good idea.

The beach property is full of seaweed, which is not cleaned at all for the customers to enjoy the beach. The pool had so much chlorine that it was impossible to swim in. And on the third night found cockroaches in the room at nighttime. Terrible experience. Never staying in this hotel again.

Dear Alexander L, I am truly dishearten to read that your stay was unpleasant. It is through the eyes of our guests that we thrive to be better. We have already addressed the seaweed clean up with the City and also with our pool and beach team to ensure that our pool has just the right amount of chlorine levels. We have already reached out to you to discuss all the above issues as we want our guest to experience pure bliss. If allowed another opportunity we would like to restore your faith in us here at The Palms Thank you again for sharing your sentiments and rest assured they are taken seriously. Sincerely Marina Prashad Executive Assistant to GM

Everything about this hotel was just right. Beautiful and comfortable lobby, nice bar with a very nice outdoor area for eating and drinking, big pool with lots of sun loungers, great access to the beach, nice rooms with huge beds and comfy seating. The staff - the bartenders and servers were super nice. More often than not you’ll get a really warm welcome, a good handshake and a nice chat, but it’s not in your face, they let you get on with eating and drinking. All other staff were genuinely lovely, and seemed interested in whether I was having a nice time. There’s a really relaxed attitude amongst the staff, not stuffy. But although they seemed relaxed they were attentive and gave excellent service. Something I’ve never seen before - most staff have their nationality printed on their name badge. Strange but a nice touch, nice conversation starter if nothing else. All in all, it’s just a lovely place. Whilst I was there, next to the pool, I booked another week at the same hotel next year, and I can’t wait to get back there.

I visit the Palms almost twice a year, and I choose this hotel because, not only for the location and facilities, but mainly for people who works here. The rooms are good, also the beds. The bathrooms are complete (a little small) but works. The fitness center is ok, small with plenty of machines and a Concept2 rowing machine :). It lack of funtional gym implements, like kettles or barbells. It could be easily solve. Easy beach access and nice pool area. I would like to thanks the outstanding service of Gabriel.
