...To sum up, great hotel, great location, great rooms but seriously lacking from a food, drink and customer care perspective...

The Savoy is a good location and friendly service for the price and the rooms are nicely decorated but I wouldn't stay here again because the pool was too cold, the beds weren't very comfortable and the food wasn't great by south beach standards... Breakfast was good, the provide free water bottles in the morning, location is great (on beach and walkable to lots of good restaurants), rooms are clean Cons: pools are cold, even the heated pool is not 'warm' (heated to about 82/83 so still feels cool when entering), the beds and pillows aren't very comfortable (beds are very very soft and the pillows are enormous but not in a fluffy comfort kind of way), lunch food is OK, but not very good by south beach standards...

The Sandbar is a great location in the pool deck of The Savoy serving wonderful light meals and drinks and served by George and his team of friendly staff...

We’ve arrived last Saturday 2 of September after paying, in advance, for five nights with my wife’s debit card... However, this doesn't make any sense to us... We already gave a credit card where they already charged $500 and my wife needed that money that they took out from her!... We asked to speak to a manager and the receptionist said that no one is available to speak to us until two days from now, which also doesnt make any sense for a four star hotel!!... We already paid for the five nights in advance and charged us $500 for potential incidentals in our credit card... What is the excuse for taking out the additional $1,000???...

I would highly suggest not booking any vacations with this company...

In summary, great people watching is close by but it’s quiet to sleep... The pool area boasts two pools, one deep (a rare treat), and ample seating among lots of plants and palm trees... Take a drink to one of the more elevated seating areas and you can see the ocean... A mojito at golden hour overlooking the beach couldn’t have been more perfect... Walk out the back gate and you are at the beach!... The hotel provides towels, chairs, umbrellas... Bar service is available as well... I love the Savoy and will stay again next time I am in South Beach!...

There are two bars: one conveniently located near the beach and another high on a cement deck with an spectacular view of the ocean... They are sincerely welcoming, kind in their demeanor, always smiling and always going the extra mile!... The bar tenders, the waiters and waitresses (we specially remember Tiffany), are like old friends, always happy to see you, making sure that one is having an outstanding vacation... Extremely professional, very accommodating, patient, amicable, understanding, easy to talk to, and a master in helping you to have the most comfortable and delightful stay that a hotel can offer!...
