Stylish hotel in a Perfect location with all the vibrant bars and clubs right on the doorstep and the beautiful beach just across the road…also Some great spots for breakfast are just a few minutes away... The location also makes it great for exploring; we hired bikes for free from the hotel, and an Uber was never more than a few minutes away...

Location is perfect if you want a hotel within walking to everything that is south beach florida...

Incredulousy, I was told that it would be provided at the Hotel Victor, 200 yards away... I'm sure the Breakwater counts as a hotel, but it is anything but a full service one...

I think this is the perfect place to stay in the Art Deco district... We chose the option of waiving the $18 per day resort fee and got breakfast on our own...

...Valet is $50 and taxes are $20, so after pre-paying for the room that was a bit unexpected, but in fairness, parking is ridiculously high in Miami, and we are from the East Coast where we expect it, but $50 a night seems a little steep for valet...

...1) I reserved an ocean view room (more expensive) and you can see the picture from our room, you have to look to see about an inch of the ocean. I paid extra for an ocean view and I might as well have saved my money... It was almost unbearable when we left the 3rd morning... We drank 2 and they didn't replace them, nor did they replace the condiment package (creamer & sugar)...

Last August I reserved B breakwater in Miami direct as they had an interesting offer for 2 nights beginning Jan 23. They never confirmed the price and did nit answer on my emails, neither pic up the phone when calling... Being in the hotel it came out why: they charged about 50% more than the price I had seen on their site when booking!!... So strong warning: avoid this hotel, as they don't mind to cheat you and take no responsabilities, although the real booking site I used is theirs!...

The rating I gave would be a lot different if it wasn’t for Lily (sp) at the front desk... We all agreed 5 star service from Lily... She really cares about the guest and the Breakwater and it showed... It’s hard to give specifics, it was a genuine feeling that she did everything in her power to make sure we enjoyed ourselves... Getting us a table in 1957, Saturday night, asking how our day was going, joking around with us...

Stayed here from 3-10th December and fro check in the service was great. We landed in the evening and the lady who checked us in was so helpful in explaining everything and answering any questions we had... They suggested places to go, kept our luggage for us and the hotel even provides bikes and deck chairs to use at the beach which is so close... Lilian was so helpful she suggested some great restaurants and events for us to attend, the Scope Art show and also El Tucan were some of the nicest places we got to see from her recommendation... She also booked a tour for us from the hotels selection and was overall a really nice person and so friendly... Really great customer service... Really helpful guy who helped us with the deck chairs and ever so thoughtful...

Due to a late night flight back to the uk the staff at the front desk was more than happy to store our luggage securely... Lillian could not do more to ensure our stay was perfect... Had good experience with this hotel on the ocean drive. Estephanie made check in process easy and gave all info regarding parking and hotel amenities... You can use bicycles for free for upto 3hrs and use hotel chairs on the beach... Valet parking is available but it is $50 so we parked in public parking garage few blocks away for $20 a day... No surprises or disappointments staying at this hotel...

Our stay at Breakwater was a good experience. Our room was clean and the shower had hot water... When asked we were provided with additional towels... Estephanie was a extremely helpful when I had to go & get another key because my was deactivated sitting inside my phone case... Please show her some love because we had a nice conversation about Ocean drive strip... The two young ladies at the front desk on the day of check out were also helpful when we needed to store our luggage due to a late night flight... It is steps away from the beautiful Miami South Beach... They also have bikes, beach chairs, and beach towels for your daily use... The mini fridge in the room kept my beverages chilled... Your room card will allow you to obtain 10-20% off in discounts for various restaurants near the hotel... Lily, Kai, and team welcomed us and made sure we had everything from check in to check out... They even escorted us to our room at check in and informed us at check out that we are still their guest until we depart with access to amenities... I would strongly recommend this hotel to a friend... This is my 5th time staying at this hotel and look forward to many more future visits...

I think this is the perfect place to stay in the Art Deco district. Elsa, Lily, Kai and the rest of the front desk staff provided friendly and helpful service even though they were often busy... Right on Ocean Drive a short walk from the 10th St lifeguard station, they provide in room coffee and refrigerator, bicycles, beach chairs, beach towels, and unlimited cold bottled water... Small rooftop lap pool... Our room #206 had a split king bed and was clean and spacious, with a view of the ocean...

From the moment we arrived the girls at the front desk were all amazing but especially Lily... We arrived on Super Bowl Sunday and she made sure our check in was quick so I wouldn’t miss a minute of the game and recommended places to watch the game that didn’t have a cover charge or minimum to spend not to mention that all the places that had a cover charge would have been standing room only as the tables and chairs at the bar were all reserved... We got a table right next to a tv at one of the places she recommended... She also recommended a bar that has the best happy hour in Miami... The hotel is right in the middle of South Beach and the beach is across the street and the hotel provides chairs and towels and also offers several discounts for a few restaurants if you at there... We travel a lot and the Breakwater especially Lily by far was the best Hospitality we have ever received and when we return to South Beach we will be staying at the Breakwater again because of the front desk...

They both made us feel welcome and appreciated, safely stored our luggage and notified us as soon as they could get us into our room (much earlier than expected)... They provided us with beach towels so we could walk across the street and enjoy... Oh yeah,....the Havana 1957 restaurant on street level is excellent... We sat, had authentic Cuban food and drinks and took it all in...

My wife and i stayed at breakwater recenty and thoroughly enjoyed or stay. Our room was super comfortable with complimentary coffee and bottled water... Due to a late night flight back to the uk the staff at the front desk was more than happy to store our luggage securely... We will definitely be booking here again on our next visit to Miami...

Stayed here from 3-10th December and fro check in the service was great... They suggested places to go, kept our luggage for us and the hotel even provides bikes and deck chairs to use at the beach which is so close... Lilian was so helpful she suggested some great restaurants and events for us to attend, the Scope Art show and also El Tucan were some of the nicest places we got to see from her recommendation... She also booked a tour for us from the hotels selection and was overall a really nice person and so friendly... Really helpful guy who helped us with the deck chairs and ever so thoughtful... The hotel also offers discounts at certain restaurants nearby which was also great...

We stayed in Breakwater hotel for one night after our cruise... It is as close as you can get to the beach - just across the park... Front desk ladies are helpful and friendly... Our room was upgraded, which was a wonderful surprise... They provide bicycles, beach towels and chairs all for free... We cannot believe that all that is available for such a low price in such a great location... Our room was spacious, clean, modern, and comfortable... Large TV with, Lavazza coffee machine, refrigerator, wonderful shower... Hotel is surrounded by restaurants and bars... Live band was playing next door... We recommend this hotel without any hesitation...

Very nice hotel in the heart of South Beach Miami. It's very close to the beach and right on the ocean drive... There is a good cuban restaurant, as a hotel guest you get 15% off... They always make you feel comfortable as a guest at all times.We would like to mention Lilian and Elisa in a particularly positive way, they were very nice... In the Hotel you get beach chairs, towels and bikes free of charge and even water bottles are free... The rooms are vary clean and comfortable...

...We stayed at The Breakwater Hotel for 7 nights and could not fault it. The staff were friendly & helpful, especially Lilian & Kai... We had a nice big room, very clean... The bikes available for use were great and meant we could explore more of the area and there were always beach towels available to use along with complimentary bottles of water... The hotel is in a fabulous spot on Ocean Drive in the Art Deco Area and an ideal location to sit & watch the world go by while drinking a cocktail or two...

...We were given a great room overlooking Ocean Dr and the beach. We had a warm welcome from Estephanie and Dania... The room had an espresso/coffee maker and the bath with a rainfall shower head and spa towels... Lounge chairs and towels provided and within easy walking distance of restaurants and bars this is an ideal location across from the Art Deco welcome center and clock...

...Very comfortable rooms, the bed was nice and soft. Complementary water and coffee in the rooms... We arrived early and while we were waiting to check in, we rented the bikes free of charge and had a lovely ride up and down south beach... We booked through a third party (booking.com) and it said on the booking confirmation that breakfast was included, however in their system it said not included, but this is not the hotel’s fault... 10/10 highly recommend this hotel...

...In the heart of the day & night life. With a Cuban bar/restaurant downstairs, a live band party bar/restaurant next door (Oceans Ten) and the beach straight across the road the location is perfect (assuming that's what you're after)... 1st floor roof plunge pool/deck overlooking the sea/beach although a sea view is blocked by palm trees etc... Rooms are spacious and have everything you need... Not really 5* lux but above average with coffee machine, rainfall shower etc... Big shout out to Lilian on the front desk who was extremely helpful with tour advice, printing off boarding passes etc and couldn't do enough for us... And to Hector for making us feel at home on arrival...

...We had a great experience at Hotel Breakwater Miami. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by Estephanie and Dania... They gifted us a bottle of champagne as thanks for our patience... When we asked for towels for the beach, they asked if we wanted beach chairs as well, something we weren't even expecting... Both ladies were knowledgeable about what Miami had to offer and guided us to the best things to do... Very satisfied will the service, amenities, food(2 restaurants on-site and an ice cream shop), and of course the perfect view from the rooftop pool...

Had good experience with this hotel on the ocean drive. Estephanie made check in process easy and gave all info regarding parking and hotel amenities... You can use bicycles for free for upto 3hrs and use hotel chairs on the beach... Valet parking is available but it is $50 so we parked in public parking garage few blocks away for $20 a day... No surprises or disappointments staying at this hotel...

Great location in the middle of South Beach - close to nightlife and dining, right across from the beach. FOH staff is excellent - Estephanie and Guerdine at the front desk and reservations are awesome!... While the lobby needs an update, the guestrooms are spacious and clean... Beds are comfy and water pressure in bathroom is "gentle" :) Walls are thin so you hear corridor noise... bikes, bottled water, fruit, beach chairs and towels are great amenities and additions included in the resort fee...

...Superb location, close to all the action of South Beach including bars and restaurants. Staff were exceptionally helpful, especially Lillian who made sure our trip to the Hard Rock Stadium to see The Dolphins was an experience we’ll never forget!... Amenities in hotel were everything you’d expect from an iconic South Beach Art Deco hotel... Seconds from the beach (towels and chairs available for free from reception), free use of cycles to ride in clearly marked areas as well as complimentary fridge and bottled water... Kai on reception was also helpful, providing us with a late checkout free of charge... We also visited Gulf Stream Park , Dolphin Mall and the FTX Arena to watch Miami Heat- all an Uber ride away from the hotel... Thank you for making our trip a memorable one!...

...They'll provide you with a towel and a chair if you're going to the beach... I would recommend those who have cars to park it them selves in one of the garages nearby... Estephanie-Hubert on the reception was super helpful during my check in :)...
