I very rarely write reviews but this one has to be done. This was easily one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. Lobby area very uninviting. The carpets and walls in the hallway where our room was located were disgusting. "Newly renovated rooms" complete with loose fitting power sockets, patchy paint work and cracks in tiles. Rooftop bar was closed. Hotel restaurant was closed. Elevator not working and every room being upstairs (good luck if you're elderly or disabled). When we checked in we were told that everything was paid for and we would have no further charges. Upon checking out we were given a receipt stating that we would be charged $119usd (for the resort fee). This resort fee gets charged for slow, temperamental wifi and a beach towel you can sign out and then have to walk 2-3 blocks for your "designated sun lounge" which gets packed away at 5pm. We attempted to explain our conversation had when checking in about all costs being covered but the receptionist repeatedly spoke over the top of me, telling us that we were wrong and would be charged the amount regardless, failed to apologise for any miscommunication which may have occurred and told us to "follow it up with the company you booked with". The guy was incredibly unfriendly, unprofessional and sat with a smirk on his face any time we tried to speak. So despite the hotel being in terrible condition with many things broken or closed (which you don't find out until arriving) they still charge a ridiculous price to stay there. The only thing thrown in for free is their poor attitude. I would advise everyone to avoid this hotel at all costs.…
I booked a stay in this hotel for a weekend in May. The hotel directly charged the amount from my credit card after the booking, although the payment conditions intended a payment at property at the beginning of the stay. Two days before our stay, I received an automatic email, that they cancelled my reservation, without any further explanation. So we had to book an alternative last minute for an incredibly high price. Since then I try to get my money back, but the hotel ignored all communication attempts so far. Meanwhile the hotel also disappeared from the booking platform where we did our reservation, but appeared again with a different name, but still same address as well as the same pictures. - Very weird though.... About the hotel itself, I am not able to share any experiences, since we had to stay in another hotel, but strongly recommend to avoid this hotel at all! …
Checked in, walked through unsanitary hallway to get to room, felt unsafe and unsanitary, walked straight back to front desk and requested a refund and was denied. Just look at the photos - what are those stains?
Recently visited the hotel and it was beyond disappointing. Where do you start the elevator is gross then the carpet in the hallway looks like a murder happened. The rooms are dirty. The bathroom is worse than a gas station and they give you 1 towel and 1 hand towel. It’s basically a hooker hotel they should have hourly rates for what this place has become. Stay away far away.
Where to begin... I booked our 2-night, post-cruise stay at this hotel because we needed a not-so-expensive place for the last bit of our vacation. It was a terrible mistake. The staff were not helpful/friendly/engaged at all, the elevator was unkempt and felt like it would break down at any point, the first floor carpet looked like something straight out of a crime scene with more stains than I've ever seen, and the smell of bleach was incredibly intense, both in the hallway and the room. The room in itself was also a disaster: the fridge and safe didn't work, the closet was dusty as hell, the bathroom was incredibly outdated (as were the toiletries they left for us), and the windows didn't open. I will say, though, that it was clean and the bed was somewhat comfortable (if you were willing to overlook everything else). I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Closing our 2-week vacation here was a huge mistake and it put a sour taste on the whole experience.…
While the staff was extremely kind and helpful, the guest floors appear to be undergoing some renovations and are in desperate need of TLC. The hallway carpeting had dramatic bleach stains that looked more like the aftermath of a crime scene that a hotel hallway. My room was clean with enough pillows, towels, etc. The bathroom is small and set up in a way that seems more like a dorm room or a locker room shower. My biggest complaints were the noise level as my room windows did not seal completely and the security. The rooms use keycards but there is no chain/deadbolt/etc. that only lock from the inside of the door. My door did have a deadbolt however the deadbolt on the door did not line up with the opening in the door frame when the door was closed all the way. Given the noise level, I would have felt safer with a more secure door and it sounded like there was always someone right outside my door. Not what I'd prefer on a solo trip...…
My wife and I visited South Beach Miami, we stayed at the Townhouse hotel. Uery dirty the floor was not cleaned, the carpet is the hallways were dirty and staind, thr roof top patio furniture are not the ones on their website, the were moldy and disgusting. Ask to speak to the manager no response. Absolutely terrible. Would never stay here again.
A girlfriend and I decided on a last minute getaway this past week (2/20-2/23) and stayed at this treacherous hotel! This hotel is everything the poor reviews state that it is. IT'S DISGUSTING! We booked the hotel through a Priceline Express Deal. So we didn't select this hotel, it was chosen for us. Prior to arriving, I tried contacting Priceline to get transferred to a different hotel due to rooftop bar being closed as well as the restaurant on the premises. And honestly because the reviews alarmed me as well. Priceline would not allow us to cancel and said it was non-refundable. So we had to stay or lose our money. I was right to be afraid. Despite praying that the hotel be clean, it most certainly was not. During check-in, I told the front desk clerk that I hoped our room would be clean because based on the reviews I was very concerned. He honestly couldn't even reassure me. He gave a kind smile and said if there's a problem let me know. Well, the room looked like a half way house or something. Bare minimum is an understatement. I told him that it was gross. He asked if we wanted to change rooms but also advised they were all the same. We stayed in the room we had since we'd already disinfected as much as possible. Thank God that we brought Lysol, lots of wipes and our own bath towels. The sheets were stained and the bathroom was disgusting. There was hair inside the shower and on the bathroom floor, there was hair all around the room on the floor, it was some big yellowish brown circular stain under the bed. The hotel room floor was sticky. The bathroom walls were molded. The L shaped "couch" in the room had a light blue cover over it that was stained in multiple areas. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. If you're a person who doesn't care about where you shower, poop or sleep and just want close proximity to the beach then this is the hotel for you. However, if you're a clean person and care about your hotel room STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL! I was surprised that the hotel didn't have a bug problem as far as we could see. Those literally are the only two positive things I can say about this filthy hotel. I feel so badly for Manny, he has to take complaint after complaint and with a smile smh. Poor thing. A lady was at the front desk when we went to get beach towels and she was checking out as she said her room was very dirty upon arrival. I saw cleaning ladies sitting on hallway beaches doing absolutely nothing and on their cell phones. Ernesto was the only other kind customer service oriented person. He saw that I was frustrated as I was trying to work and couldn't even find a working electrical outlet in the lobby area. I had to work from their computer printer area. He showed concern. Thank you to both Manny and Ernesto, you both deserve raises for working for the slumlord who owns this trashy property. Please condemn this place! The restaurant being closed doesn't matter as I wouldn't have eaten anything from it anyway. I was able to make it to the rooftop area which still needs work done but it was better than the rooms. WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER! I wouldn't even return for a free stay.…
Terrible experience. When we got there, we were told that the room we reserved several weeks in advance was not available, then were given the excuse that just because we reserved a room, does not mean that we would get it. They ended up placing us in a smaller room. Furthermore, we were charged a $64 "service fee" when we signed in, which we were not informed about at all prior to paying for the reservation. Was also disappointed to find out that the hotel no longer offered breakfast, which has not corrected on their website. The hotel room itself was very minimalistic and not very sanitary. We felt very mislead and cheated by this experience. Would not recommend. Only pro is that it is a 2 minute walk from the beach, but be aware that rooms look nothing like the pictures, and you will be charged extra money in addition to your reservation payments…
So I will start off with the pros of this hotel: -Very centrally located to Miami Beach -Beach is a 2 minute walk away which was awesome -They have a deal with a local hotel where you can get some beach chairs and an umbrella (for a price) set up right on Miami Beach, it was the best part of the trip for me. Cons: -The elevator wasn’t working, nothing worse than climbing several flights of stairs drunk or hungover or tired -Strong cleaning agent smell, almost nauseating. After about a day it got better. -The hotel corridor carpets were stained and dirty. I saw another review about this before I went and figured “it’s a hotel corridor who cares” but then when I experienced it, it was truly nasty. -Bare minimum amenities: Soap, shampoo, gel, towels, TV and that was it. Not even an outlet close enough to your bed to use your phone in your bed and not even an extra trash can in your room! -Lack of furniture: They didn’t even have a chair, just some weird tacky corner piece sofa and glass table. -Air conditioning: Are you hot? Cold? Too bad, turn the A/C down to 40 or up to 80 and there would be no change in room temperature. -Fridge: Mine wasn’t even cold, the lights were on but nobody was home. -Bed bugs: I only mention this because of a previous review I read. I did not see any indications of bed bugs but I didn’t go searching for them either. Please god don’t let there be bed bugs! -Restaurant: Not opened -Shower: Leaked the minute I first used it. Saw that from a previous review. Pro-tip: Put the shower curtain inside the shower after use and put a towel down, that kept the floor from getting flooded. Breakfast: None My thoughts: For about $300 per night, an amount I’ve never spent on a hotel before, this was almost laughably bad for a hotel. To me it seems like the hotel is owned and managed by somebody who doesn’t know anything about owning and managing a hotel and is too cheap to make upgrades. The place is an absolute s-hole and unfortunately I booked it when I was drunk and didn’t bother reading the most recent reviews. Luckily for me I read the reviews before I got there which allowed me to lower my expectations to the point that I was prepared for it. Looking around at other hotels near the area when I went this was the cheapest priced by far and the obviously misleading hotel photos sucked me in. I didn’t spend much time in the hotel because I wanted to make the most out of my trip so the accommodations weren’t as important to me. I would not recommend staying here, but I will also say that if you can deal with the many shortcomings, and plan to be out and about other than sleeping, this place isn’t a total misfire.…
