The Clay Hotel

The Clay Hotel Easpanola Way-Miami Beach will begin extensive renovations July 9th and will be closed to our guests. We anticipate re-opening our Matanzas Building Wednesday, November 28th and will continue to keep you posted. Located two short blocks from the beach and steps from the charming shops, outdoor bars, restaurants and intimate cafes that line lush and romantic Española Way, The Clay mixes Mediterranean Spanish flair with contemporary comfort, transporting guests to a relaxing home away from home where architectural details and artwork by the noted Cuban landscape painter Pedro Amador resonate with those who appreciate culture and community.

We stayed at The Clay for 2 weeks! the rooms are clean and tidy but not much else going on in the Hotel. It's older the beds are firm so we really got a taste of the hotel. The Staff were friendly and complimentary water anytime which was nice. When you stay at Espanola Way

Check in process was smooth. Great location. Friendly staff. The room was clean but those brown carpets in the room and hallway need to be replaced. Replacing the carpet would elevate the look and feel of the hotel. Alex the overnight manager was awesome!

The Clay Hotel is undergoing renovations and this must be why I got it for a very good price. The location is very good - walking distance to everything in the South Beach area: bars, restaurants, art museums, the beach, shopping... A beach chair, small towel and umbrella are als

This hotel is nicely located in Española Way. The location is perfect. The hotel is clean although in reconstruction. It has a mix of history and elegance. Main handicap is that there was a resort fee that was acknowledge nowhere in the reservation but mandatory at check in. Alth

Upon checking in at this hotel; everything looked good, however, the problems arose when the manager insisted we did not have a booking. He found someone that knew how to use the computer system and she proved very nice and helpful. Between staff members (especially men) there

Hi! How are the rooms as far as cleanliness and air conditioner? Upscale? Or budget? Are there balconies or upgraded rooms? Is the hotel excessively noisy being right near a espanola blvd?
Apologies for the late reply I have not had a phone. The rooms are very clean and the air conditioner is fantastic. The rooms are clean everyday with fresh towels. There is no balcony. The hotel it not nosey at all. Hope this helps.

Dear Kelly T, I forgot in my response to you that as it regards Valet Parking that our Hotel at the time you were here has the lowest valet parking charge of any of the 2, 3 or 4star hotels here in Miami Beach. Basically all hotels valet parking are unfortunately off property. I would respectfully ask that you consider amending your review. Even with the shortcomings that you mentioned we truly do all possible to create a comfortable stay. I wish that we had asked our staff to assist with your luggage at check-in. I hope that you give us another chance and if that were the case I would ask that you contact me directly. Sincerely Paul Celnik General Manager The Clay Hotel
