THIS PLACE IS GHETTO AF! Since we landed and came into the hotel we’ve been dealing with issues from employees. Morning 1: At around 2am-3am we had other tenants get into a fight and yelling through the halls and front. There was banging in the windows and impossible to sleep through. You could imagine how inappropriate this looks for the other hotel guest. I thought this was over and maybe a tenant having a bad day with their significant other…but that wasn’t the case. Morning 2: Around 5am-6am there were more banging of the windows and women yelling in the front and arguing that echoed throughout the hall. This was probably the straw that broke the camels back because we didn’t have one peaceful night and fear for our lives that if we complained these women would try to fight with us (I’ll get back to this later in this review) Why should we as guest have to be afraid to speak up to others who are being totally inappropriate? This is not okay and honestly the worst experience I’ve had in my life staying somewhere that includes the staff AND hotel owner. No security, pretty ghetto at this point and no one around to help guest stay at ease. Same morning after we were up working in the front of the hotel other guest started to complain and ask for a refund to the front desk girl. They said they were afraid to ask people to stop yelling and banging because they were scared that based on their tonality and actions this will only make it worst. She looked to her right to a man and he said “we don’t do refunds but we’ll gladly move you to a different room.” This same evening there was a lady that was sleeping in the front couch. (See picture) I came back after a late dinner and she then had a sheet over her and was sleeping in the front lobby. Like I said, this place is ghetto. So there I am trying to do the exact same thing other guest wanted and I already had my answer from this man who we thought was the manager. A couple of minutes continue and this man turns out to be the owner! Flaunting to his staff how he’s a millionaire and that they are only working until 3 so there shouldn’t be a problem. There’s guest in the front listening to this. My wife sure did as well and they did not care. That’s the owner! This is so inappropriate and I honestly didn’t want to be in this place anymore nor give them anymore money. I had written a complaint to Airbnb and they did nothing. Instead, it was sent to the front desk person who began to knock at my door while I was still sleeping in my underwear and she began to chuckle and smile because clearly I looked like I was out partying the night before and wanted to have a “chat” with me about my message to Airbnb. I have never done this but due to the current events from staff and owner I wish to leave and get as much as I can back from such a horrible stay. She told me that she talked to the owner and her said they can’t refund me because I was asking for most of my money back (I was morning 3 and the first two early mornings were horrible of course I want my money back) she then again asked me if I wanted to move to the back of the hotel where it’s more quiet (no thank you) and was offering that so that I don’t offer a bad review. If you have read this far, look up this place (the Julia hotel) and you’ll see in other platforms they have really bad reviews. I would absolutely not recommend this place and shame on Airbnb for allowing people like this in their platform and not being able to help out their guest.…
We really struggled with where to stay on our first trip to Miami. Definitely picked the right spot. The Julia is in a great location south of Fifth. You can easily walk to the action north of Fifth when you want or stay south for a calmer vibe. We found several great restaurants south of Fifth too. The hotel has been converted to an AirBnB operation only. There are about 40 rooms and everything has been redone. The rooms are clean and efficient with good AC. You do not get a view from any of them but few places offer a view anyway. It is only two blocks from the beach. The staff are around. OST if the day and very friendly and helpful. Parking is off site but close and we had no issues. We stayed for three nights and if we come back to Miami, we will stay here again!
We are currently still here at this hotel until the May 17th but we want OUT! The rooms are so much smaller than how it looks in the photos, the bed is very uncomfortable and our access code stopped working after the first use. We were locked out of the facility and couldn’t get back in until another guest who happened to be exiting allowed us in. Came here for my bday weekend and I’m trying to get out of this place early. It is not at all what I imagined it to be . What a mistake !!
Hello. I staid at the hotel when they reopened only a few yeqrs ago, and my wife and I were the very first to stay in one of the beautiful rooms. We loved it and staid there a second time. Soon we'll be there again for the third time. Thank you.
My husband and I enjoyed our Spring break in Miami. This hotel was in the perfect proximity to everything that I had on my list to do, see, and eat. Niccolo and his team had exceptional hospitality from beginning to the end. We were able to drop our bags off at the hotel since we arrived at 8am and we were also able to check in before 3pm. Whenever I visit Miami again, I will definitely have no need to seek where I will be staying. Thanks, Tamika Means
Host & hotel double charged 2 different guests for same days at this hotel. Quarantine & do not fly mesures are in place in my city if you travel to FL. They did not want to cancel my reservation & issue my refund. Then Niccolo from At Mine booked the same days to another guest. So they were paid twice. I gave him over a month to make this right satisfactory. He kept giving me the run around for over a month. Very, greedy, shady, & dishonest business dealings. Other reviews mentioned staff is nit courteous anyways. They even charged me a cleaning fee. Just greedy & unhelpful. They were paid twice. Especially at times like this. Nothing to help guests. Just their own pockets. Just greedy & shady. Just know they’re not for you only themselves. So if you cancel you’re screwed by all parties involved.…
We booked to stay at the Julia in June, however due to the COVID-19 pandemic we obviously could not take our trip to Florida. Due to the circumstances and a cancellation that was completely out of our control (global pandemic) we requested a refund of the deposit we had paid to the hotel. The Julia refused to refund us or offer us an appropriate voucher for a future stay. There was no sympathy or understanding whatsoever in the emails we received from them, and when I tried to call them the general manager refused to speak to me on the phone! The staff/ general manager were extremely unhelpful, unfriendly and rude. It is clear they do not value their customers and just want to hang onto your money. Some of the worst service I have ever received from a hotel.
The Julia is a fantastic little hotel in a great location on Miami Beach. Check in was fast and very friendly, and they actually let us check in very early so we could get a much-needed nap and store our big bags. Everything was sparkling clean and the coffee machine and beautiful lobby were great perks. Quiet hallways and modern, super comfortable rooms. The only downside is that the AC was a bit lacking and it was warmer in the room than we would have liked for sleeping. But all said and done, we would absolutely stay again.
Overall very comfortable stay with all the usual hotel amenities. Walls were definitely thin, though things were pretty quiet during the night hours when I stayed. Light sleepers may want to consider earplugs.
Liked the hotel room very much, clean and updated. Loved the location as we could walk to a quiet park on the water or to all of the restaurants on Ocean Avenue. And a very short walk to the beach. Perfect location. Added touch was a 24 hours Starbucks machine, a very limited but tasty breakfast (pastry, breads and yogurt) and a wine and cheese hour in the afternoon. This is covered by a resort fee (which covers the breakfast, wine and cheese and beach chairs and beach towels). We liked out stay at this hotel.
