I've stayed at many Marriott Properties in my life and I can honestly, genuinely say ive never received such great service. Superior to say the least. And it was all thanks to Alexander, you truly enhanced my Miami experience and because of that I came right back and stayed another day and then extended my stay! From the margaritas that get delivered poolside to the oceanfront views I truly am grateful you had a room for us and ill be back in march! Alexander, your attitude and poise even in the midst of a busy lobby truly showed me you are more than capable at your position and Marriott Stanton South Beach is honored to have you on their team. It is because of you Alexander that I will refer this hotel to anyone i see! Because of you the Marriott Stanton South Beach has became my second home! Take care and if you're not promoted before I come back ill see you soon!! - Eli

Stayed here four nights just before Christmas 2020. Found the hotel staff, especially front desk attendant Alejandro, who explained the property and various rooms, to be wonderful. Very pleased with the valet, front desk and pool staff, lobby, hallways, room size, in-room storage (for a long Florida stay), furniture, lovely and modern bathroom, cleanliness, and balcony view (admittedly, top, 11th floor). Of four hotels in which I stayed in South Florida on this long trip, this was tops for COVID safety. Several other reviews criticize the pool's COVID procedure. I disagree completely. Initially, when I learned of the reservation and shift requirement (approx 8-10:45a, 11:15a-2p, 2:30-5p, 5:30-7p, more or less, with the ability to book non-contiguous shifts in a single day), I also was disappointed. But, in fact, it's great! Yes, at the holidays, this required one to go to the pool by 7:50am to make a reservation when they open the book at 8 (all while watching sunrise over the ocean, reading, and sipping coffee, which was not so bad!). But then one can plan a full day of other activities knowing securely one has a pool lounger at a set time. The hotel empties the pool area and sanitizes the lounges between reservations. And the lounges are nicely spaced out, useful for COVID, and also for relaxation because the pool is not swarmed by a million people. I estimate it is 1/3 capacity. Best of all, it means no selfish jerk can come down and put a book and t-shirt on a lounge chair at 7a, leave, and "claim" it all day to the exclusion of other guests because no staff is overseeing it. It also opens for all at 7pm until 10p and was generally empty, so no one is excluded all day. I must defend the pool staff against other reviews: they were super and friendly, even in the face of explaining these important safety rules to disappointed guests. Contrary to others, we liked the pool reservation experience. I think these pool rules, driven by COVID, may actually increase guest pool access, and I hope they continue it. Folks may disagree, but please consider my POV against the critics of the reservation system. This hotel is in a great location. A few blocks south of Fifth Street, above which all the madness begins. It's in a relatively quiet spot, but close enough to the neon lights and loud Ocean Drive bars if you'd like. It is in a lovely, largely residential neighborhood. Beautiful condos and high-end restaurants to the west. Direct access to the gorgeous and newly expanded running/bike path to the east. Put on your sneakers or jump a bike and go north, or south to South Point Park and then hook up to the northwest and follow Biscayne Bay to Belle Island or a kayak launch. Reviews of the on-site Starbucks are correct: glacial pace. But there is Starbucks at home. Instead, I discovered local place Pura Vida for a zillion healthy, fresh options and sidewalk tables on a lovely block with beautiful people eating after a morning work out. Eye candy! Or Big Pink for a diner experience with massive portions. A few minutes away. Struggling to find a negative, the on-site hotel drinks from the Mexican restaurant are pricey (e.g., $28 for a large marg by the pool). It is Miami, though. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Take an official art deco architecture walking tour for a great intro to local history. Kayak on Biscayne Bay if you can swim. Bike as much as you can. Try the restaurants over by the bay where locals eat (Oliver's, CViche 105, PubBelly Sushi happy hour).

Spent 4 days during the new year holiday. The front desk, beach staff and housekeeping ladies are nice. Our room has Skyline view balcony which is beautiful. Upon request, they provided us a microwave. Great! The biggest drawback is the pools. It required reservation and we were never able to make one use during our stay. The staff told us we need to go to the pool by 7:30am to be able to have a spot for the day. We talked to three other couples staying in the hotel and none of them were able to use the pool. One couple told us they went at 8:30 and the list was already full for the day. We called the hotel before coming to Miami and the front desk staff told us there will be plenty of space for every guest, which is not true. On the 2nd day the lady at the pool told us that the 1st availability is at 2:30pm. When we checked in the afternoon shift guy Samuel said we were just on the wait list. When we complained to the hotel manager, she told us we were rude to the pool staff and called him “stupid”, which never happened. They lied. We used the the Hilton beach club next door, and there’s no reservation needed. The hotel tried to space out due to COVID, which is alright, but they couldn’t even provide the basic facility for use and charged $400 per night. It might be good one if there’s no pandemic.

Had a remarkably surprisingly good stay here despite the flaws noted in other reviews from guests staying here at the same time. And when I moved up to the Cadillac it became even clearer what a good hotel the Stanton is. Smooth check in at front desk. Very professional. Guest room very clean. And beautifully designed. Awesome bathroom and shower. Loved the sound of the ocean when the balcony door is open. Beach was spacious and appreciated the towel complementary. Swimming pool desk is unmitigated disaster as noted in so many reviews simply due to management. Every hotel does it diff. This one does it wrong. Saving grace were the three chaise lounges nearby. I spent most of my two days on these. They are the secret treasure of the hotel. The Starbucks on property is very convenient and they actually are a good Starbucks though do NOT be in a hurry - they move at a glacial pace. I’d return to this hotel once they get their pool deck straightened out.

Currently here for vacation. We are diamond elite Marriott members . No towels at beach, long lines everywhere, no house keeping although we asked 3times . I called a week in advance to book tee times, dinner, tours with the concierge. Upon arrival I was informed he wasn’t working this week and they had NO access to his email?!! So disappointed in the Marriott here. Normally they have the best customer service. NOT returning
