I don't typically write reviews, particularly bad reviews. I'm also a Marriott Rewards Platinum level member, so I've done my fair share of traveling and stayed in way too many hotels. When my wife and I checked into Stanton South Beach they did not have the room category for which I reserved three months prior. Instead of telling me, they tried to put me in a different room. When I realized, I naturally said this is not what I reserved and was advised there was no more rooms available for which I reserved. Then I mentioned that the rate should be adjusted, and the gentlemen stated "oh, I guess I can give you $50 off" and have the manager call you. First off, I had to ask for the discount and secondly they only took it off the original room rate, which was a higher rate than I was given. So I essentially paid the same rate for the room I received, but it was not what I reserved. I never got a call that day or the next, then when checking out, I resurfaced the issue again and was told the manager would call. It's been a week and never received a call. This was my third time at the hotel, which is very nice, but unfortunately it is my last time there. I am booked here in July, but will be cancelling and going two doors down to another hotel chain that appreciates their customers. Too bad they could have been upfront and offered me the other room rate and a discount or food voucher and I would have been back. Take your chances, it's either great or terrible - not a risk I'm taking any longer, it's too expensive to be treated as we were.

I arrived 3-15 and well greeted by Bell Hop Services to take our belonging to our rooms. Opened my Bags and All of my personal get get ready belongings were missing and clothes gone threw. Over $300 in razor, Mont Blank Cologne all gone. Spoke with Jason, The Manager and was told I get refunded for my belongings and a Free first night. At 2:20 am the fire alarm goes off and they announce it was a test and not to worry. Go to breakfast the next morning and can’t get back in my room because of door lock malfunction. 6 hrs later I still can’t get in my room and assured it’s been fixed. 2nd day there I’m asked to leave the pool area by a kid that accuses me of not having a room. Later that evening I can’t get in my room again because of door malfunction.on Saturday morning maintenance opens my door without knocking to repair door. Takes 5 minutes. Go back to sleep and above my room on the eleventh floor at 8:30 workers are pounding about my room with a jack hammer. I asked house keeping what it was and they explained that everybody should have been informed about repairs to the roof. My check out sat 3-18-23 was at 1 o’clock but I check out at 11 anyway. I asked Jason about my charges and he said it would be handled. The following Monday I call because there is no credit to my debit card and Jason informs me that they wanna give me free points instead of what I was promised. I call the General Manager if that’s what you wanna call her and she talks over me and finally says she’s going to credit the first night but not reimburse me for my belongings but she’d call me back about those and that she was sending me email confirmation which I never received. Tuesday I call and she says she’s not going to do anything and there is an additional charge to my card for $194 for checking out late, parking and I didn’t have a car, I got an Uber for everything and charged me for towels at the pool which I never received because I wasn’t allowed to go to the pool. I’m 52 years old and never given a bad review but I wish I could give them zero stars! They are the worst and they are proud of it!

Stayed at the Stanton. Beach service was superb. Ronnie was my beach attendant. Super professional Highly recommend. The hotel service seems to be understaffed for our state. Definitely not the level I was hoping for. But the beach attendants were exceptional and the beach service was adequate.

Enjoyed our stay at the perfectly located Stanton. The pool area was a pleasure to sit and relax. The views from our room were of the ocean. I loved having Starbucks downstairs. We parked in valet but had to use our car often. Sebastian, the valet, was great about getting it quick and even ran back for my jacket. We look forward to another visit!!

The Stanton is located south of 5th ave in South Beach so the neighborhood is quieter, cleaner, and a little less extra than everything north of it. Yet you are still easy walking distance (or ride share) to all that you want from SoBe. It's also right on the beach. And when you leave an almost straight shot to the airport or Port of Miami. The rooms are clean, sleek, well appointed, spacious, and updated. And while some have ocean views, even the city views are worth it. Caryn at the front desk was a delight and very helpful. Outside there are two infinity edge pools with a hot tub in between. The pool deck is surrounded by ample chairs and day beds as well as umbrellas, with a dedicated towel station. Across the walkway is a stretch of some of the best beach in Miami with hotel beach attendants and food and beverage service. Again, the hotel offers plenty of chairs, umbrellas and day beds. Service is above average and everyone is friendly and ready to assist. This hotel charges a resort fee. Normally not a fan because these are typically just money grabs used by hotels to show a lower rate online compared to its competitors. The value is usually not there, and it leaves a bad taste. However this hotel offers enough extra amenities to make it more palatable starting with two complimentary margaritas in their bar, INCLUDES: * Enhanced High Speed WiFi this is not use for Titanium Members like my self * Two welcome Lolo's Frozen House Margaritas per stay * Two beach chairs daily * Bike rental (up to two hours daily, 2 bikes per room) * One fitness class per day, per room * 2 boogie boards per room, per day for 1.5 hours complimentary * One complimentary specialty salt scrub sachet (one piece per room, need visit the spa on the Lobby level to retrieve your sachet) Amenities are based on availability and are subject to change without notice. Stayed here to visit University of Miami and it was a great location. The beach and the location was very accessible by walking and my car. Close to Ocean Drive, Collins Ave and all of the fantastic restaurants. The staff was wonderful. Sebastian was very helpful and knowledgeable

Bar and restaurant service extremely slow. Only one option (Lolo’s) for food at pool and beach which was over priced. Starbucks attached to hotel always had something missing, one time couldn’t heat up anything so no breakfast sandwiches available , another time missing a bunch of ingredients for certain drinks, line up super long and staff was unfriendly. Tried a few times to order margaritas at the pool and beach, took forever to get them. 18% gratuity already on tab for everything you get yet service is terrible. Umbrellas are at extra fee, if you walk away from chairs for more than 15 min they take them away. 😏 Not super impressed with this hotel. What I did like: clean and right on the beach! Location was nice and rooms were nice. Would I stay there again? Probably not.
