My husband and I enjoyed our 4-night stay at the Kimpton Surfcomber last week. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the property appeared recently renovated and is clean and well maintained. Location was also great, just north of Lincoln Road. I was looking for birthday candles and Natasha found some for me. The staff is also very helpful and responsive via text if you’re an IHG member. I took the complimentary yoga classes with Agustina who is sweet and full of positive energy. Her puppy Tao is super adorable. Mia is also a great instructor and her dog Gypsy also super cute. You should definitely practice yoga with both Agustina and Mia if you have the chance! We also borrowed bicycles to ride along the boardwalk, which is a nice perk. The electronic music festival started during our stay and there were events at the Surfcomber and adjacent hotels. The Surfcomber staff did a good job organizing and managing the events for guests and external attendees. Hotel guests got wrist bands (different colors for each day) for easy identification and access to the hotel. Guests were invited to attend the music events on property from 11-7pm for free and had to pay for admission for the night events. The music stopped promptly at 11pm. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay at the Kimpton Surfcomber again.…

All staff is helpful and pleasant! Today I was helped by a gentleman named Christopher on their beach property and he went above and beyond in assisting us with chairs and umbrellas to make sure we had everything we need. We feel very well taken care at this resort!

Luis the bellman was a fantastic and consistent help to all three parts of my family including the bride and groom and other daughter and husband and toddler. So much luggage and wedding paraphernalia. And we needed our rooms early and he got that done for us! And the catering and event staff for various wedding events such as the Sunday brunch were wonderful. They greeted us with champagne and raspberries. So festive! And sent us wine and charcuterie boards to welcome us. Thank you Raquel, Lucas, Luke and Luis and Cindy! It’s been a big day of moving in and getting ready for the wedding weekend and we are looking forward to your help all the way!

The entire hotel flooded after only about an hour of solid rain. Water was pouring in from light fixtures on the first floor and I could only imagine what my room looked like on the third (top floor.) People were going into a panic (understandably so) as the hotel staff was doing what they could to collect water in huge trash bins. I was afraid of the chance of electrical fires, that the ceiling would cave on top of me seeing it bubbled under the weight of water, and that the structural integrity of the hotel was compromised after seeing the extensive water damage all throughout. Water was even coming through the ceiling and dripping onto my bed. Other guests in the hallway expressed similar room situations. My initial reservation was for 4 nights, but I only stayed for 2 before this happened. At the front desk I asked if they are sending guests to other hotels to accommodate and they said no but that they could cancel the remaining nights of my reservation. I didn’t care and just wanted to get out of there so I booked a hotel elsewhere and got out of there asap. I wanted a refund for my entire reservation and they did not provide that. I honestly don’t know if this hotel will open up ever again because of how much water damage was throughout. I’m just glad I got out of there okay and that none of my belongings were damaged. I can’t say the same for other guests. I would not recommend coming to this hotel ever, and I definitely won’t be back. I hope I can get a refund for the first two nights of my stay after how scary this experience was. I cancelled my entire week vacation to leave home today (the next day) instead. It was terrifying and there’s no way I can continue with the rest of a “relaxing” vacation after this experience.…

Stayed at the surfcomber for 10 days in March. The staff were very helpful particularly PJ and Junior at the beach. You have access to the beach and sunbeds with your room and the staff are very attentive. Rooms are clean and pool is nice. Good location on South Beach. Would recommend.

The hotel is right in the centre of all the action at Miami beach. We were assisted by Dexter during our stay and he was an absolute sweetheart! He helped us with our luggage and was really amazing throughout.
