NEWLY RENOVATED! Our South Beach retreat has never looked better At Kimpton Surfcomber, every detail of our posh makeover has been curated for your comfort. While keeping the playful soul of our historic South Beach hotel (how could we not?), we dialed up the sophistication a notch or two. Experience graciously revamped guestrooms and suites, communal areas redesigned with social distancing in mind, plus a revitalized pool deck and grassy backyard just steps from the ocean. An oasis of Art Deco artistry. All throughout this boutique hotel, our designers have created a fresh, alluring vibe. Where statement pieces are understated. Where sleek Calacutta marble blends with geometric patterns, and teak moulding pairs with textured grasscloth. All in a color palette of soothing neutrals, soft tropical hues and serendipitous pops of pink grapefruit, blood orange, pine green. A backyard like no other. Outside, in the expansive area between our hotel and the ocean, we take relaxing by the pool to new levels — literally. Choose from upper and lower cabanas, all updated with luxe new details. Enjoy an al fresco spin on hand-crafted food and cocktails at our High Tide Beach Bar and Grill. Discover private nooks and plenty of verdant space to spread out, making social distancing feel a bit more natural. Come see us. Again, or for the first time. For those who know us and those who don’t yet, now is the time to experience the all-new, all-grown-up Kimpton Surfcomber in Miami’s glorious South Beach. We can’t wait to welcome you.

We like this place so much, we stay at the Surfcomber every year. The staff is super friendly and really treat us like we are special. Kurt and Blake made sure we had the best accomodations at the pool every day. Nicole checked on us all the time and made us feel like it was home! We got to know them because the took the time to get to know us personally. Love this place.

All staff is helpful and pleasant! Today I was helped by a gentleman named Christopher on their beach property and he went above and beyond in assisting us with chairs and umbrellas to make sure we had everything we need. We feel very well taken care at this resort!

Disappointing Experience at a great location. It started with extreamly long line to park at valet. 30 minutes and no movement. I attended an event at the surf comber and spent the night. The AC in the meeting room was not working , everyone was sweating, the food was mediocre, we were rudely asked to leave the pool and deck closed at 7pm. Some of the furniture in the rooms are old and beat up looking mixed with new updated pieces. The bathroom is tiny but they used modern Fixtures to jazz it up. Comfortable bedding but the tv is in front of only one bed making it awkward to watch. Pool area nice and cabanas are perfect. The restaurant had the worst service I have ever experienced and I have traveled all over the country and the US. The waitress took the order of our nine attendees. It About an hour to bring out only 6 meals. Then another 45 minutes to bring 2 additional meals and finally after reminding her there was a meal missing she brought out the last meal 30 minutes later. Never came back for refills until we reminded her. They offered free round of drinks after we spoke to manager and then was charged for them. They also brought dessert to our table after it was sitting on a nearby table with everyone breathing on it. You’ve got to be kidding us. This is after the first 5 meals were not eaten because rude and now cold. The icing on the cake was 20% gratuity was added to the bill. Cold food, late food , no refills on beverages until we begged an hour after we were done with the first round. Not very many guests to have such poor service. I think this hotel has a few things to look into. Beautiful location with sad customer service.

The rooms were supposed to be newly renovated, but I still got an allergy and sore throat from staying there 4 nights. The rooms are rather small and basic, they should have done a better job at equipping the rooms with something with more character or color. There is no coffee maker in the room. Instead, they offer free coffee in the morning in the breakfast area which causes a circus and a long line among disoriented guests. They keeo running out of coffee, which can be annoying. Breakfast was nice, the staff is generally nice (with some sad exceptions). Getting the room cleaned is a big task that requires coordination with reception and the cleaning staff. This can potentially ruin your day. The way they made my bed was so bad that I had no idea what was their intention. Ruin my night? The grounds are very nice, beautiful trees, bushes and flowers around. Lots of space to sit around and relax. The pool area can get very hot during a sunny day. Be careful with exposure to sun. The music in the pool area is often WAY too loud and prolonged exposure to it can potentially damage your hearing. I am not sure what the intentions are, but so much loud music doesn't make me relaxed at all. BTW, the staff at the beach was really nice and helpful and there is no pounding loud music there.
