Although we didn't stay at the Pelican hotel during our stay in Miami, we did venture out to South Beach a few times. One of them was late on a Monday night, when there wasn't much going on. We walked along Ocean Drive and decided to walk into the main bar for a quick drink. My GF and I are... More

I was planning a weekend trip to Miami (November 11th-14th) and of course I immediately searched hotels using Priceline and cross referencing with Yelp. I am forever grateful for all the Yelp reviews that lead me to the Pelican hotel. The reviews were pretty much spot on! For me, South Beach is an interesting place since it seems like these... More

Our room was really cool - themed USA. A lot of thought has gone into the design of the rooms. Heaps of benefits/free perks for staying here: 2 free bottles of water a day, free (and good) breakfast, 20% off at the Pelican restaurant, free use of beach day beds, little chocolates delivered to your room in the evening, 2... After reading good reviews on here and it being with my price range for a stay on South Beach, I booked four nights to stay at The Pelican through Hotels.com this November (2016). Being located on Ocean Drive was a selling point as it's opposite the beach and free breakfast and two free cocktails every night (4-6pm only) was another.... More

Very unique experience. Art Deco design of the hotel first rate. Corner room overlooking South Beach was spot on! Bar inside was hotel very fun on Saturday night. Dinner on the front porch dining area was the place to be on a weekend. Make sure to try the Paella it is very tasty. Noise level high but to be expected... More

The Pelican is a great little retro hotel in the heart of South Beach. The location was great, tons of people watching from the front patio. A stroll across the street and your on the beach. The rooms are small, but that's to be expected in a vintage building like this. Every theme room has different vintage furnishings and even... More

Had a great stay, Carlos at the front desk was extremely accommodating. The only things I have to mention is the odd smell in the hallways and the fact that the restaurant completely forgot my room service order. It wasn't a huge deal. Great spot with a lot to do right there.

We booked this hotel for the price and location (£92.00 per night). There is a $15 per night resort fee but this does give you free breakfast, towels and sun lounger on the beach and two free drinks at happy hour. Good value hotel, rooms were small but sufficient and decorated more like a b&b than a commercial hotel. It... More

This place was nothing less than amazing! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, and the view from our room was perfection. Free breakfast every morning and two free drinks a person during happy hour helped start our days and nights off right. We also received complimentary beach towels and chairs for our beach days. Me and my husband will... More

An extended surprise birthday getaway for my lady celebrating a milestone birthday. We arrived late on Thursday evening and checked in at about 1145pm-no problem checking in and the Strawberry and champagne package was nice and cold and on ice awaiting us in the room, perfect. The bed was comfortable and the view from the room was exactly what one... More
