3 words: Oh my God! I have never seen so many bed bugs in my life. Disgusting, don’t stay here. We were really looking forward to a nice clean hotel on the beach to relax. Never been so disappointed...
Great place, love it! Clean. Nice rooms, good food. It's a great place to stay and the location is great. Next to the ocean! Perfect location after a night out with the guys! Will be back for sure! thanks!
The food is awesome, well presented and worth the price paid. The staff are attentive and helpful. The traditional English breakfast had Cuban twist to it and the American pancake breakfast was picturesque and tasty. I had the sea food platter and this was delicious and included fried scallops. I had several dishes and sampled a cocktail and was not disappointed. If you like Cuban music you will also enjoy the party atmosphere and the wonderful view on Ocean Drive.
This hotel was great; I don’t know why we hadn’t stayed here before as we’ve stayed in almost every hotel on Ocean Drive in the 30 years we’ve been going o Miami. It started with wonderful check-in with Wendell and continued with the great free breakfast. The room was comfortable. The bed was perfect.
She’s service it amazing when you visit restaurant call Brigitt . Good services and good product the half parrillada sea food and meal the best . The lobster it amazing the churrasco it amazing the New York it amazing to.
Located in the centre of Ocean Drive it’s within easy reach of everything. It is just across the rod from the beach and has its own sun beds and section of beach. There is free WiFi within the hotel and guests get 20% off in the restaurant. We also had free breakfast and a complimentary drink in the afternoon between 4-6. The mojito went down very well each afternoon.
We stayed at the Pelican last summer so I knew that we were going to stay again because it was great the last time. This time was the same even though we had a few differences. First of all the price of the hotel went up 100 dollars a night from last year. I paid it because I really did enjoy the experience and didn't like the reviews from the surrounding properties. We were able to get early check in last year but not this year! We had a red eye and it was horrible having to wait until 3 for our room. I know that it is a gamble for us but they could have had a room ready at 12 maybe? Also we had the same exact themed room as before. I really didn't think that would happen so I would be sure to ask them for a different theme next time. Other than that the bed was cozy. We liked the free water each day and the happy hour Mojitos each night. We will stay again.…
Fascinating place each room has a different theme. The food is excellent, large helpings and great quality. The free breakfast is out of this world. Free drinks at the bar. If you are fortunate enough to be checked in by Wendell you will find him extremely helpful in every way, he just can't do enough to make your stay comfortable.
We (my family) were walking down Ocean Dr. Looking for a cheap breakfast. The Pelican was not crowded early in the morning so we stopped there, we started out sitting outside by the sidewalk in the sun. My mom was in a wheelchair and the sun was beaming down on us it got too hot. We asked could we sit elsewhere the young workers looked confused, then we were RESCUED by this wonderful (older)gentleman who showed us the wheelchair access and sitting on the upper balcony he even moved the outdoor fan.Thats what I call service plus the food and coffee was delicious.THANKS for GREAT FOOD and GREAT SERVICE!!😁
This hotel is right on Ocean Drive which is the main drag in the South Beach area. It is in the middle of all of the Art Deco hotels that are pretty and interesting by day and even prettier by night. Each hotel is fronted by a restaurant/bar and clubs are plentiful and hopping late into the night. The Pelican was built in the 1940s. That is both cool and old. All the rooms have a theme. Our room was small by modern standards, but still adequate. There was a small walk in closet and a safe and refrigerator. As far as the old part is concerned, there was a leak from the ceiling over the shower area and the sink faucet dripped a little. Other than that it was nice. DEspite the loud clubs along the street our room was quiet. The hotel featured a happy hour from 4-6 where guests could each have two Mojitos. They were very good and they didn’t skimp on the alcohol. The restaurant in from of the hotel was also good. The drinks are expensive, but the food was reasonably priced and a great place to people watch. They also included a free breakfast for guests, but we had an early flight so we didn’t get to try it.…
