We booked The National because it’s beachfront but they close access when there’s a private event. And got this you pay a resort fee! There are some lovely people working there but standards are slack. Our room (poolside) was clean but spartan. There was so much potential but it was unused.

We absolutely loved this hotel! It's gorgeous and fun. The staff are AMAZING! Particularly Louis, Johana, and Eric. But honestly the entire staff were so welcoming and friendly. Everyone seemed like they truly enjoyed their work. We didn't want to leave! Would definitely stay again!

Incredibly warm and receptive staff, very clean rooms and comfortable bed, drinks, food and beach amenities were wonderful! We will go again. The surrounding area has a number of very good restaurants that you need to check out, especially vino pane!

Excellent hotel! Beautiful property with amazing access to the beach. Very safe with all the amenities. Food was excellent! Drinks are a little pricey (Pina Colada and you can only buy wine by the glass). Service was outstanding from the porter to the front desk to the bars and restaurant. The guys working the beach and the pool area work so hard! A special shout-out to Muhammad in the restaurant ! The vibe was fun and energetic without any obnoxious antics. We really loved the layout of the lounge chairs. At the back of the property, the patio is designed to be private and comfortable. We ended up eating several meals at the hotel during our stay as the food was outstanding!

The staff by the pool and beach were lovely and attentive and the food and drink were good, if expensive. Room was small and showing its wear and common areas while clean seemed worn and in need of some updating. Broken handles on bedside table, peeling paint in bathroom, etc.Several nearby hotels were being renovated and are places where homeless people lay passed out, making the approach to and from the hotel sad and unpleasant. There is no knowledgeable concierge to help with restaurants or other recommendations, which I would expect based on the price of the hotel. Fine but no pull to bring me back.

Clean hotel. Great service. Lots of amenities on site including restaurant, bar with live music and heated pool which came in handy when it rained. Great location with easy beach access. Beach service wasn't great but all others were excellent.
