I grew up in Miami Beach, literally 3 buildings down from the National, and I have seen first hand all the changes through the years. The hotel has aged beautifully. The renovations made in past have truly polished this beatiful, now adult only property. NY lounge vibe merged with the relaxed FL swagger, yet it maintains an air of elegance and provide a welcome contrast to the majority of the properties on SB...Character! Amenities were great, the 211 feet lengthy pool (1 of 2) has been a favorite of mine as long as I can remember, food exquisitely crafted, but what prompted me to write this review, was the the care of the staff, attention to detail, and willingness to go above and beyond to make your vacation exceptional. -From Reservations; Luciana was amazing and took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for and delivered beautifully. -From Reception; Luis at Front Desk handled his duties effortlessly, and made me feel as if I was returning home to my own private estate. -From the Restaurant/breakfast terrace: Joana, the quintessential service provider who goes out of her way to accommodate others. My stay was superb and the team mentioned made it so. In a time where I believe we are all in need of true R&R, the importance of quality service is paramount, and is What I expect from any top rated Hotel. Happy to say it's what I received, and I'm sure you'll do too. Don't hesitate to book. Enjoy Francois Damian.…
We booked this hotel for a family vacation but when we came in there were three massive pictures on the wall of naked women. The website said this place was kid friendly and there was chicken fingers on the hotel menu and many reviews said it was kid friendly. The receptionist said they were trying a new “concept”! He said the hotel was 18+. I told the man that “that’s kind of dumb” and he said “I’m European and that’s offensive”. The funny thing about that is my mother is 100% European and she said the man was full of crap. Idiot
We just celebrated our anniversary with four days at The National and hitting some great local restaurants. The staff was friendly and attentive, the room clean and comfortable and the grounds beautiful and well maintained. Overall great effort in light of recent challenges!
Received a handicapped room for a regular prices room. The room flooded every shower and the sink was inconvenient for toiletries. Not what I would expect for $575 per night. Will not likely stay again.
Hotel is a little basic The rooms need a lot of updating and no turndown service. However heated pool is great, food is amazing and staff are wonderful- particularly Chris and Crystal who work by the beach. Super friendly, professional and customer orientated!
