The Marlin Hotel is purely MAGNIFICENT! Our suite was beautiful...nice, clean and spacious and the staff was great, especially Dominique! They were all very friendly and attentive. And you can't beat the location...The Marlin is in the center of everything...THE STRIP...the beach, the stores and restaurants are all in walking distance. We had so much fun, being so close to all of the excitement! We also enjoyed the Osteria del Teatro restaurant located inside of the hotel...great food and beautiful setting! Magnifico!
The Marlin hotel was awesome! its so nice and clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. We arrived vey early in the morning and although check wasn't until 3pm at the time they allowed us to upgrade for free and check in right away. Its very close to ocean drive (walking distance) and the beach is literally right there. You cannot beat the location. Thank you Marlin Hotel we look forward to staying again.
The staff was very nice, but there were no housekeeping services due to COVID. You had to call the front desk whenever you need to towels, toilet paper or anything else. We were there for five nights and would have had to change all the sheets and pillowcases ourselves. We also had to empty our own trash cans daily. So it didn’t feel like much of a hotel stay. Other hotels in Miami Beach had housekeeping services, but this one did not. The hotel was located in an extremely noisy area on Collins Ave. during spring break. It was not family friendly in this area. Lots of screaming, yelling, and blasting music from cars all night. The police presence was good in the area, and they did the best they could. The Marlin had a security guard each day outside in the front of the building that helped. At least they were trying to help control who came in. Due to spring break, the restaurant was closed from Thursday through Sunday. We ate at the restaurant on a Tuesday night and it was excellent. We were very disappointed we couldn’t dine there again because it was closed due to the chaos on the street. Again, this part of Collins Avenue was one of the worst areas for public spring breakers and noise, so all restaurants, shops, and bars had to close Thursday through Sunday by 8 PM. We didn’t feel safe around here at night. We were also very disappointed there is no pool on the property or at least a deal with a sister property or nearby hotel where they would let Marlin guests use their pool. That would’ve been very nice. The beach access the Marlin offers was also a very wild and noisy part of the beach. It was dirty and really wasn’t family friendly. I wound up having to pay for a day pass at the Savoy Hotel which was absolutely beautiful. My daughter and I used the pool and their beach access which was quieter and more residential. It was costly though. Because the Marlon didn’t have a pool and the beach access was sketchy, I had to pay $300 for a day pass just to go to a nice, clean place.…
Rooms were very attractive and clean. (Although we did have used toiletries from the prior guests left in our room, and we had to ask for new ones). Loved the bathroom with the large walk in shower. Large television with Bose sound bar was awesome! Beach chairs can be borrowed from the front desk, as a part of the resort fee. However, walls are thin and heard our neighbors quite loudly (pretty much heard every single word and could've talked to them through the wall). Street can also be quite noisy at night. No on site parking. We parked a block away for 20$/24 hr flat rate without in and out privileges.
Fabulous accommodations in a great location. Hotel is a block from the beach and walking distance to restaurants, clubs etc. Comfortable bed, large bathroom and large walk in shower. All amenities (bathrobes, beach towels, minibar, Nespresso machine in room). Although the restaurant/bar in the lobby is not part of the hotel, but is really good too. All staff at the desk were helpful with recommendations and responsive to requests for housekeeping items (since due to Covid the rooms are not visited daily by housekeeping staff). Definitely would stay here again.
