The Marlin Hotel is a considerate combination of history, architecture, modern luxury and style. The cozy and welcoming nature of the hotel coupled with its South Beach location makes it the ultimate destination for those seeking a luxurious beach getaway. Situated amidst the escapade that is South Beach, the hotel is the perfect oceanside hideaway. Guests are just steps away from white sand beaches as well as must-see shopping, dining and nightlife. The hotel has recently been completely renovated and has been committed to preserving the landmark art deco building's architectural dynasty, while providing guests with unparalleled elegance and gracious service. The guestrooms and suites are luxurious and spacious, ranging from 240 to 500 square-feet and redesigned to create a home away from home, heightened by the contemporary style, custom- designed furniture and fixtures, wood floors and serene color palate. The relaxing setting extends to the spa-like bathroom that includes a rainfall shower, unique glass-enclosed wet room and therapeutic pebble floor. Each room offers exquisite attention to detail, from the hand-selected pillows and rugs to the coastal-inspired artwork that is reminiscent of Miami's tropical surroundings. No two rooms are alike but all feature state-of-the-art amenities including a 55" LED TV with surround sound, fully stocked mini bar, luxury linens, custom spa bathrobes and slippers, and blackout drapes with remote control. The hotel also offers thoughtful amenities to ensure that each stay is nothing short of perfection, including a designated maid and turndown service, laundry and dry-cleaning, transportation, continental breakfast and high-speed wireless internet. The interior of the hotel exudes opulence, while still embodying the energy and style for which it has always been known.

Great location, clean updated and full of energy. Staff was attentive and the room was a corner suite with a great view of Colins action. Cool Miami retro/deco vibe and we should have tried the Italian restaurant but that will be next time....

This property has a good restaurant and bar and is ideally located in South Beach. We never needed a car to get to restaurants, clubs, and the beach. The hotel bar is perfect and the contintental breakfst in the morning was a perfect way to start each day. We had a corner room with a great view, blackout curtains, comfy bed, double sink bathroom, dressing area, safe, and nespresso coffee maker and honor bar. The hotel provides beach towels and chairs. It was a wonderful place for the reasonable price.

One of the art deco originals-----renovated and refurbished-----33 rooms tastefully decorated, quiet and intimate, with a superb Italian restaurant to the left of the lobby; at the epicenter of South Beach nightlife and daytime frolic in the ocean, a block away; great people watching and shopping everywhere......

Upon arrival, it was great that there was a valet space where we could unload our bags and walk right into the hotel vs. the other option of some hotels to park close and walk with your luggage. Beautiful building from the outside as well as inside. I liked the fact that the hallway was dimly lit, it made it cozy and kinda erotic tbh. Corner room was perfect, however we were under the assumption that the room we asked for had the tub and the seperate shower. No biggie, probably wouldn't have used it anyway. Lots of sun during the day and the neon glowing lights that illuminate the outside of the building (not in a bad way). Also the larger corner window has remote operated drapes. Good size flat screen for the room however, ours had a line thru the middle. I'm a coffee lover and print the only person that will have a cup of in room coffee at every hotel I stay in. Nice Nespresso machine, but looked like no one's ever used it so no one's ever dusted it. I dusted it myself and used it. Not bad but won't be adding it to my coffee machine collection. The bed, I thought it was comfortable, my wife didn't. The pillows are like clouds. I have to have some. My wife put her head back onto the headboard and realized that the entire top of it needed dusting. The next morning I flopped across the pulled back comforter and realized that it smelled like mildew or vomit or mildewed vomit. Called for a new one, ended up having to go the the main desk twice before coming back with the correct confortor. Again, no biggie, I'm just enjoying our getaway. The bathroom was beautiful, loved the shower and shower floor. Dusty to holder and towel rack. Lots of toiletries, great towels and space for your own stuff. Mini bar fridge. Overall, it was a very nice stay. Next time in South Beach, we will go somewhere else, not because it was bad but it wasn't great enough to not want to explore other options in the area. Oh and the restaurant downstairs...I guess I'll go do a seperate review on it.

Stay at The Marlin Hotel if you want style and comfort. My husband booked an eight night stay for us in one of Miami South Beach’s Art Deco hotels at lower end of Collins Avenue. When we arrived at 10:30pm, exhausted from our long flight and cold (the weather was unseasonably cold) the staff were wonderful and welcoming but the hotel was being renovated and looked shabby. Our room was in an attached building to the side, the entrance to which was dark, dingy, grubby and smelled of food. It looked tired, in need of updating (especially the bathroom), dark and very cold - the aircon could not be turned off. We decided to stay the one night as it was too late to look for alternatives. The the bed was comfortable with lovely pillows and linen but the room was so cold and the curtains let the street lights in, we couldn’t sleep. We checked out very early in the morning and booked into The Marlin which was only a few blocks up Collins Avenue. The Marlin receptionist allowed us to see the only two available rooms before we made a decision. Both were on the first floor. We chose room 107 because it was the brightest. All Marlin rooms are stylish, beautifully clean, comfortable and warm - the aircon system can be adjusted for heating. Our bed was enormous with top class linen. The bathroom was perfect with a spacious, powerful shower, fluffy white towels and high quality soaps, shampoos, lotions etc. There was plenty of storage space, lots of hangers, an ironing board and iron and a safe. We loved the fridge which was stocked but had space to store our own wine and beers. Ice was supplied on request - I loved that and my husband particularly loved that he could get premiership football on the TV. That’s never happened before! The continental breakfast which was included is a buffet style affair with lots of choice. All the Marlin staff are professional but also friendly and eager to help. The housekeeping staff do a brilliant job - the rooms are perfectly cleaned everyday. The reception team is very efficient and very helpful.
