There is no kitchen or even a fridge provided. That is very inconvenient for a hostel. There are cafe and groeries nearby, but as a solo traveler, you expect a place to at least store some milk and cold cuts.
My boyfriend and I booked a King Suite through Amex. We had both been here before 2020 and had nice stays. This hotel has gone severely downhill and I wouldn’t recommend you stay here unless you plan to spend minimal time at the “hotel.” I would personally call this a hostel. I think that would set more fair and accurate expectations. I found it hard to even enjoy the pool. I’ll start with the lack of anything available to eat or drink in the early morning, no coffee or water. No ice coffee ever. The bikes for rent are 2 hour maximum, then 30 bucks an hour. They were also rusted, one speed with no breaks. Now let’s move onto the pool area. We woke up early when we were there and would find the place trashed with cigarette butts, garbage and broken bottles from the night before. It was gross. We stayed on a Saturday night and the pool was closed 3 hours early and off limits to guests for a private function. They made us walk through a dark alley to get to our room as to not disturb the private event. The first day, no one came to clean our room. The second day, they tried coming in at 4:30pm after we had returned from the beach and were getting ready to go out for the night. There were people staying in the dorms who were drunk and hanging out in the hallways and nooks and crannies of the place. When I was by the pool, I overheard some guests say this was a popular place for people to board and take a break from the streets, but because the hotel has a rule for a 14 night max stay they have to checkout for a night and then check back in. The same people could be seen almost unconscious the two nights we got home from dinners. Did not seem like a state achievable by consumption of alcohol…If I was alone or in a group of women I would not feel safe staying here and navigating to my room safety.…
A+ Location very close to beach and lot of sights, nice accommodations. Comfortable bed. Fast wifi. Very easy fast cheap public bus from miami airport to hotel. Good vibes. Nice place would stay again.
The price for a shared room is great even considering about $40 daily parking rates on Miami Beach. The bar is fun and hip but pricey. Great short walk to the beach. Evening shade on the beach is possible because of the high rises. Also nice to stay off the interstates and drive through South Beach to commute to Miami.
First time staying at a hostel or sharing bunks with people outside my party and I gotta say, it was a great first experience. Welcoming lobby and front desk staff, the room was spacious (4 bunks + furniture), my assigned bed was clean and comfortable. I had a clean towel waiting for me in my bed upon check. There was lockers with the bed numbers in the closet to stow personal items and the A/C was great. Definitely a place I’d visit again!
My experience was not good, since what I booked was a single room and upon arrival they offered me a room shared with 4 people. They offered me 3 nights, instead of the 10 that I had contracted. The Wi-Fi signal practically does not exist, it cannot be connected
Alexandra really made our stay special. The rooms were cozy with indie charm. The pool was the highlight of our stay, along with delicious drinks and food at Broken Shaker and 27 Restaurant. Also, its about a five minute walk to Miami Beach.
Nice location but was not friendly reception stuff. They treat you as if you stay there for free. The owner must consider that. One more thing to say not only poor people stay at hostels. They treated us as if we were poor and nowhere to stay. But they were wrong
Boys trip to Miami. @ freehand nice vibes. Great budget. Was able to share rooms with 3 friends that I traveled with. We overpacked but that had enough room for baggage. Room was above the courtyard great view of pool and patio bar. Drove down and the lot on 29th street great parking also street parking. Was able to drive and commute to south beach, port of Miami, ft. Lauderdale, and Hallover beach. Trip Friday to Monday. I loved the diversity in the hotel and the building. I’d change the old ass carpet. Overall a 9/10!!!!
Perfect hostel for solo travelers! The rooms aren’t the best ever, but they’re very clean, good sizes, with air conditioning and enough space. The staff is nice, there are extra towels and the best part: the pool’s space is so cool and not very crowded. Great experience!
