Let’s start with the positives because there are many positives for this hotel. First and foremost the location is outstanding. A 5 min walk to Lincoln Road for shopping and lots of dining; close to many restaurants, cafes and bakeries as you are right on Collins in the heart of South Beach; a 5 min cab or 25 min walk to Sunset Harbor where we ate twice and where restaurants abound. Another great feature of the hotel is the beach and pool. Beautiful stretch of beach just outside the hotel with loungers included with your room. The pool is also a great place to hang out, sunbathe, eat and drink. Even though it was busy we were always able to find a lounger. The service at the pool and beach was excellent. Nice atmosphere in the beautiful lobby. Lots of seating, nice bar lounge with live music on some nights. Now for some areas that need improvement. For one, the room we had was in need of a refresh. The furniture was not in good condition with a broken drawer. Paint was peeling on the bathroom wall. Also the layout of our King Room was really odd. The bed was in the center of the room with no night tables to put a phone, eyeglasses or a drink. NO mirror in the room, only in the bathroom, which is unbelievable. We got our first room changed which had a horrible view of a roof with rusted piping and was also right next to elevator. However the layout of the first room was much better. We appreciated the change to the better City View which we thought we booked but found the layout really not very functional. The worse part of our stay was that on one of the days our room did not get serviced AT ALL. We were out at the beach and pool all day and housekeeping showed up at 4:00 when we were heading into the shower. We asked her to come back and let the front desk know on our way out an hour later only to find our room and bathroom as we left it that morning when we returned that night. When we complained we were assured we would be the first to be serviced the next day. Once again we arrived to our room at 4:00 and housekeeping was cleaning which meant we needed to come back. So much for being first. At checkout when we complained again we were compensated with a $50 credit. This was much appreciated but should have been offered right away that first night we called to complain. It would have gone a long way in removing the bitterness we felt. Front desk is willing to accommodate but needs to be prompted. Really good service happens unsolicited.…
Nautillus has kept up with the standards of service. Miami Beach is a very popular with worldwide tourist and I am glad staff member like Amaray and Julian make this location stand out in a sea of hotels to choose. They speak several languages, but have that local miami latin flare. Very friendly and hardworking team who is excellent at giving you service, but also being able to connect as a person. Making small talks while being busy and giving you real responses and not the usual tour guide. To top it off…the food and drinks were delicious. I even got carried away and went for a bottle. The pool is not that deep, but long. Is perfect to cool off and slow down for a bit. Will definitely come back. Thank you Amaray and Julian. Also Maggie for the towels. The kitchen staff.
We are South Beach regulars, but this was our first stay at the Nautilus. We were so overwhelmed by the hospitality and had an amazingly great experience. Rooms were nice and large with no street noise (this was a first for us). Ebennezer (Food and Bev GM) made our stay super special. Mike (bartender at lobby bar) is extremely hospitable and can make the best drinks based on your likes. Nicole at the pool bar was also great. We loved our stay and can’t wait to return.
I had a great stay thanks to Diana, Dan,Oscar,Julian, amalay, and John. They made sure my stay was amazing!!! And was very polite Definitely make sure to stay here you will enjoy your time. I definitely had a great time!
From the moment we arrived, we were in the extremely capable and accommodating hands of Oscar, one of many helpful and friendly senior staff members at the hotel. I’ve stayed at many hotels in South Beach over many years and have never received the level of attention and service he and his colleagues seemed all too happy to provide. Because of him, we were able to upgrade to an ocean facing room, hang out in a poolside cabana while our room was being prepared and have dinner reservations modified. Once we got to the room, there was fruit and wine waiting for us. The hotel lobby is clean and modern, and still architecturally faithful to the original Morris Lapidus design. The room, with it’s terrace and spectacular view, was small and clean. If truth be told, it was also a little tired and in need of a refresh (dirty sheers; peeling veneer on the headboard), but the cosmetics were overshadowed by the breathtaking vista and the attentive staff. I wholeheartedly recommend a stay at this centrally located spot. I was able to get an incredibly good rate online, so in the end, it felt like a steal. And if your visit is anything like mine, you will feel very well taken care of and grateful you landed there. Tell Oscar I sent you!…
My husband and I flew in from NYC for the weekend to celebrate our 17 years of marriage. The traditional wedding anniversary gift for 17 years is furniture. Well, I thought what about booking a poolside cabana for the day as a surprise gift for my husband? It has a sofa, two ottomans, a coffee table and a TV stand. John handled my reservation. IT. WAS. PERFECT. Our server Nicole was on point as well. They both went above and beyond. ~Valisa & James Tate
My bf and I came to Miami to celebrate my birthday and the Nautilis hotel was perfect. Incredible access to the beach, Live music, great hotel food ( loved the restaurant ) not to mention the ocean front room!!! thank you to Oscar who made everything so special & Julian + Yulia amazing bartenders / best pina colada’s I’ve ever had. John by the pool was so friendly and helpful. Thank you nautilus for making my birthday so special we will absolutely be back!
Had the best time on the beach thanks to Nate and his crew. Super attentive and kept us comfortable without us even asking for assistance, it was like they could read our minds!. This is a really nice hotel and would recommend for a girls weekend. Food was great too 😊
Classic aesthetic. One of my favorite hotels. Really affordable rentals for locals and the food is actually delicious. Loved the calamari and fish dip. And the service staff is sweet and attentive. Nate did a great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We had a great time. Nate was really helpful with getting our beach chairs and lounges set-up. Checked on us often and adjusted our umbrellas to block the sun when asked. We will definitely come back soon. We are locals and its affordable and he made us feel welcome.
