I had a great experience and enjoyed the amenities and food. I spent most of my time at the beach and was well attended with staff checking up on me making sure I wasn't in need of anything. I also had an amazing time at the restaurant with a wide variety of food. The tres leches cake was one of the best I ever had. The staff were very kind and helpful. I will definitely be back!

Sat on the beach for 3 days and enjoyed the Nautilus beach service. Isaac was an absolute rockstar and made sure our stay was 10 stars. The food was amazing. Highly recommend the tuna stack and the shrimp quesadilla. Water was perfect. Had a few storms blow through and had to bail from the beach for a few minutes. But absolute awesome stay. C e Best bang for the buck on south beach.

We stayed for a week in September. Whole experience was great- rooms clean, staff so helpful and welcoming. We didn’t get his name but the bartender was so experienced and friendly. The pool and beach areas were great. They sent a bottle of Prosecco for my birthday which was so kind. Highly recommend.

Not sure I’ll stay at Nautilus again. I am a solo traveller and I booked to stay here for a week. However, it was the noise and the very thin walls followed by the lack of sleep that will likely prevent me from returning to Nautilus. Cons I booked and called up in advance to ensure that I had a quiet room. This is something that I always do when I travel and I travel about 2-3 times a month. They promised me that I will. When I arrived, the lady at front desk smiled and told me my room was ready early (3pm instead of 4pm) and that they got me a quiet room. Firstly, it was right next to the elevator. Not only that, it was an adjoining room. Nothing about this room was quiet. In fact, the walls were so thin that I could hear every detail of the conversations happening both outside and next door to my room. And the people traffic outside the elevator was loud as there was an event or something that week. Needless to say, I was woken up suddenly at least 3 times a night. When I asked to move to another room, they said they don’t have any available and they were fully booked. What I don’t understand is why assure a customer they have a quiet room when it is next to the elevator and it’s an adjoining room?? Very, very disappointing service. One night would have been understandable. But I had booked to stay for 1 week. Which meant one week of poor sleep for the duration of my stay at that hotel. And it had nothing to do with being a ‘sensitive sleeper’. You’d have to be able to sleep through an air raid to have a comfortable nights sleep here. Customer service definitely needs improvement. Several times when I called front desk from the hotel room, they were rather rude and blunt. And the requests were for something basic like arranging late checkout. House keeping was just strange. There was a separate call for cleaning and restocking sundries such as water and coffee. If you weren’t in the room, water and coffee did not get restocked and I had to call up house keeping to bring it. This got annoying after a while. Several times, I was woken up early in the morning by maintenance who knocked on my door by mistake. At times Nautilus felt more like a family hotel. As a result, I was often at SurfComber hotel pool and bar a couple of doors down enjoying the atmosphere there. And I was always welcomed. Food and drinks were just unnecessarily expensive. Again, I usually ate at a nearby hotel or restaurant as this place was overpriced. Beware of the daily resort charge of about $55 per day. This is not included in the cost of the hotel room and is charged separately by the hotel upon checkout. Pros To come up with a list of pros is tricky for a hotel that I couldn’t even sleep in. Doesn’t that make it unfit for purpose?? Anyway, here’s my attempt: Nice rooms- I booked the Deluxe King room because I had read other reviews saying that the rooms were small. This room was a good size and on a high floor. Well stocked mini bar (see images for more detail). Nice looking lobby. And nice bar. Both the indoor and outdoor bar staff were also great. They were attentive to customers and conversed with customers also. This can be a nice touch when travelling solo. Summary: aesthetically pleasing hotel but quality of rooms and customer service need an upgrade. Great for night owls but avoid if you want a peaceful nights sleep at a decent hour.
