Nestled on the Miami Beach shoreline, Nautilus Sonesta Miami Beach is lauded for its prime location close to local shops and South Beach's vibrant scene. While the hotel's meticulous cleanliness and stylish amenities, including a well-maintained pool and gym, receive acclaim, guests have called out the intrusive construction noise and the loud atmosphere. The attentive and hospitable staff stand out, though some visitors encountered service delays. Room sizes and layouts have mixed reviews, but comfort and style are praised. However, additional costs and fees have raised concerns regarding the hotel's overall value.

Wonderful hotel with an amazing staff made our first stay in Miami memorable. Everyone on the staff team goes the extra mile to make you feel welcomed but Isaac at beach was on a different level - very kind, attentive, good listener, he was always ready to adjust our umbrella, talk about the beach conditions, give us recommendations, and give my wife so many “happy birthdays”. He made sure we were having the best time.

Very well located at Collins Ave, the hotel is close to many bars, restaurants, clubs. Excellent options at a walking distance and many others at a $5-10 Uber ride.

The beach is amazing with good infrastructure. The pool and the hotel lounge have such a good vibe - the lobby has an inebriating good fragrance the music always making sure you’re in South Beach. Loved it!

The food is also good - we tried many places around for breakfast but the two we had at the hotel were the best, so I would probably have it included on my rate next time.

Overall, great great experience. I would definitely recommend Nautilus Sonesta for anyone planning a trip to Miami Beach. We can’t wait to go back and have a great time again. Thanks again for everything. Cheers!

This hotel is very clean. The staff does give great attention to detail. The beach is beautiful. A few things to be wary of:

1. We booked an ocean view room and were first given a room overlooking a rooftop air-conditioning unit. We were upgraded to an ocean view room for no additional charge but were also offered an ocean front room - we took the ocean front for $100 per night additional. Upon the arrival of our friends the thing happened to them. Speaking to other guests they also had the same experience and were upsold to a better room. If you book an ocean view or ocean front room make sure you have proof that you actually did book that type of room to avoid the upsell.

2. Resort fees include two beach chairs, towels, coffee pods and 2 bottles of water per day. If you have more than 2 guests there is an additional fee for each additional beach chair beyond the two included. $17 per day additional and $25 per day for the umbrella. Since we were a party of 3 we paid an additional $135 for these.

3. Valet parking is $50 per night. A five night stay cost more than the actual car rental itself. Also the valet the day we left was significantly delayed. We called for our car at 9:10 AM and were told it would be ready by 9:30. After several request the manager Jeremey personally made sure we received our car. He was frustrated as much as we were, and there were four other guests in the same predicament. We received our car at 10:30, an hour later than expected. We needed to get to the airport and were concerned we would miss our flight.

Overall it is a great hotel and I still highly recommend it. Just be aware of the additional charges. Food is fantastic! It is not a big party place as the pool and outdoor areas close at 6pm. But that is fine because there are plenty of options in South Beach for the party people!

Book directly through the hotel website NOT Expedia or Pasiley as there seemed to be some issues with room selections.

The Nautilus Sonesta Hotel was perfect for my Miami Beach vacation. I wouldn't say it's a luxury hotel but it is very solid choice for South Beach.

location: fantastic South Beach location: sits directly on the beach (no street in between the hotel and the sand); walking distance to everything: restaurants, liquor stores, sundry shops, and just a couple of blocks to Lincoln Road, and a few more blocks to Ocean Drive.

pool: decent size and clean. We had no problem getting chairs and umbrellas each day, however, we were there mid-week, so I can't comment on weekend crowd. The only issue we experienced at the pool was the excessive noise from the construction going on next door, but that was not the fault of the hotel.

dining: we had breakfast at the hotel and it was very good. We opted for the buffet which had an abundant assortment of foods to choose from including bagels, lox, eggs, potatoes, breakfast meats (including a vegan sausage), oatmeal, muffins, danishes, fruit, deli meats, cheeses, caprese salad, and more. Service was friendly and attentive.

room: I stayed in an ocean front room with balcony. The view was spectacular; just what you want when staying on Miami Beach. I appreciated that the bed was positioned to directly face straight out towards the windows overlooking the ocean. You can lay in bed and look straight out to the gorgeous view. No need to turn your head to one side or the other. LOVED THAT. The room was small and there were noticeably no nightstands by the bed. The bathroom was also small but still provided all the necessary toiletries. The room was very clean. The room was tiled (no carpet) which is another plus.

hotel facilities: The lighting in the room was very good but the lighting in the hallways was much too dark. One of the two elevators was broken for my entire 3 night stay. Stairs are easily accessible, however, and the hotel is only 8 floors.

staff: every member of the Nautilus team that I had contact with was friendly, kind, professional and helpful. I particularly want to commend Josue Kant Szybowski Sales Director, as well as the front office manager, Daiana Weinstein, for their personal attention and quick responses regarding my reservation and stay. Each of my interactions with Mr. Kant, in particular, was delightfully positive. He is just the kind of business associate I want to deal with - quick response time, knowledgeable, professional, and made me feel valued.

I will, without hesitation, stay at the Nautilus Sonesta Miami Beach next time I am back in Miami Beach. No need to look elsewhere.

We stayed in the first week of June and our first visit to Miami. And we found our stay ok. There were issues with the credit card system on our arrival which meant the deposit couldn’t be taken and half way through our stay our room keys were cancelled and we had to be “escorted” to our rooms so that they could verify we weee guests and take the credit card payment! Embarrassing and inconvenient! Also the rooms are not very sound proof and we were there over a weekend so had lots of loud noise with people returning to their rooms in the early hours. Although hotel security did come up and disperse people and get them to their rooms, it was annoying to have disturbed sleep. We didn’t use the pool as it looked like it needed a good clean and the shallow pool especially had a lot of dirt gather at the bottom. But the beds were comfy and good sized room and well located for the beach, Lincoln Road Mall and Espanola Way. But for us, don’t think we’d stay again.

This hotel was pretty nice! The service at the beach was really good (shout out to Mike) . It’s nice that the pool and the beach are so close. It is kind of annoying that if you don’t pay for an ocean view you basically get a wall. Also you can’t make tea in the room and all the food in the cafe is pretty overpriced. It was also annoying that you had to ask for room service every time. The hotel is in a really good location though and it was great because you could walk or bike to everything. It was a good value for the price!

I moved to this hotel on a family vacation after the first hotel down the street turned out to be far below expectations. This hotel is smaller and much less chaotic than a large resort environments. The staff has been extraordinary and so friendly. Five stars to Yiseley in the restaurant and Jeremiah at the pool. The facilities are not a five-star environment so if you are looking for glitz go elsewhere. If you want a very reasonably priced and simpler chill environment, this gets the job done.

For the work out addicts, there is a small gym on the second floor with a Peloton, ellipticals, bosu, med balls, free weights, and a cable machine. The room was perfectly clean and the king with a pull out sofa has plenty of space for a group of four. The bathrooms are very small, but the room space makes up for it.

Breakfast in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced for hotel food. Great location with walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants in Lincoln Road.

Fabulous location with easy beach access and lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance.
Beach/pool attendants are very helpful and friendly, thanks particularly to Isaac for being cheerful, always smiling and helpful. Be aware that beach umbrellas and extra chairs are payable on top of the resort fee.
Pool and beach food and cocktails are good quality, freshly made if somewhat expensive but that’s Miami Beach in general.
Pool beds are comfortable, plenty of them but left out when it rains so are often soaked though and then just covered with towels.
Cleaning is very good, lovely clean towels and bedding.
The room we had was at the side of the hotel. We were lucky to be at the end of the building which gave us a partial sea view any further back and the view is of another hotel which is currently under construction. The rooms are quite small, the bathroom very small. Book a sea view room at the front of the hotel.
Avocado toast for breakfast was great.
Gym is ok.
Lobby is lovely.
Corridors are a bit twilight zone.
Front desk staff are efficient.
An overall enjoyable stay.

Hotel in a strategic location, very close to Lincoln Road and 10 minutes walk from Ocean Drive. The facility is very nice, the cleanliness is standard for Miami (where, from what we could see, it is difficult to find meticulous attention to this aspect). The hotel is large, it has a lounge near the hall where in the evening you can stop to dance or have a drink (however the music doesn't reach the rooms, we were on the fourth floor). The pool is large and very nice, although quite crowded. Beach towels are provided free of charge. The room we stayed in was comfortable for 5 (2 queen beds and a queen sleeper sofa). The bathroom is small but with a large shower. The only flaw, but we had been informed, was the view: the family rooms do not have a sea view. Many services. Very friendly staff both at reception and at the pool. We did not use the breakfast service, which can be ordered a la carte, because almost in front of the hotel there is a very popular pastry shop "Rosetta bakery" which serves super breakfasts. The value for money is excellent. We also happened to stay in another hotel in Miami, with a higher price and a decidedly less comfortable room. I highly recommend it, especially if you want to be close to the sea and Ocean Drive but away from the chaos.

Positives:
Stylish, clean hotel in a great location with direct access to Miami Beach. Lovely pool, loads of places to eat nearby, close to shops. Room well appointed and quiet at night. Good wifi.

Negatives:
Unfortunately the negatives outweighed the positives. Overall, there was a lack of attention to detail and not enough focus on how to make us feel valued as guests. Given we paid £870 for 3 nights (~$1000) including the resort fee this is disappointing.

It was mostly little things but they added up for us. We booked a room for 4 adults (two older teens plus parents) and checked this before arriving, yet when we arrived the sofa bed was not made up, we only had enough coffee and water for 2 people, had to ask for more towels etc. This lack of attention to detail was shown elsewhere, the management not running a tight ship- used plastic cups sitting by outside walkways, dirty towels left by the pool overnight until staff arrived at 9am... We also barely ate from the hotel as it was prohibitively expensive.

Parking was also very expensive. The concierge fee was $49 / night. We paid this for the first night, then went and found a public parking garage which was a much more reasonable $20 / night. There's a couple near the city hall / conference centre about 5-10 mins walk away.

The hotel is very well located and makes a clean, modern impression. The rooms are nicely furnished, but unfortunately they were not really clean, there was a lot of hairs and dust on the floor, otherwise there is nothing to complain about.
The beach is clean and the people are friendly, there are 2 sun loungers for each room, if you want an umbrella you have to pay an extra 25 dollars, which I personally find unnecessary and a bit excessive, but I knew this because some people have already mentioned it in their reviews. We live in Switzerland and in our opinion drinks and food were extremely expensive. However, this is not the hotel's fault, the problem is inflation in the US.
